Frequently asked questions
To clean the filter on your Eureka PowerSpeed Lite vacuum, first, make sure the vacuum is turned off and unplugged. Remove the dust cup by pressing the release button. Then, take out the foam filter located under the dust cup and gently tap it against the trash can to shake off the dust. For a deep clean, rinse the filter under lukewarm water until the water runs clear, being careful not to use soap or detergents. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before placing it back into the vacuum.
Yes, the Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed Lite vacuum is versatile enough to be used on both hardwood floors and carpets. It features a five-setting height adjustment knob that allows you to switch between different floor types effortlessly. Just make sure to select the appropriate setting for your floor type to ensure optimal cleaning performance without causing damage to your floors.
The Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed Lite vacuum comes with several accessories designed to enhance your cleaning experience. These include a dusting brush, an upholstery tool, and a crevice tool. These attachments can be easily connected to the hose or wand for targeted cleaning tasks, such as upholstery, curtains, and tight spaces around your home.
The lifespan of the belt on your Eureka PowerSpeed vacuum depends on your usage and the types of surfaces you're cleaning. Generally, it's recommended to check the belt for wear and tear every 6 months and replace it as needed. Signs of a worn-out belt include reduced suction, the vacuum not picking up as well as before, or a burning rubber smell during use. Replacement belts can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or from various retailers.

Cons
- 🔌 Short power cord may require frequent switching of outlets during cleaning

Excellent cleaning results + great value!

I am really pleased with this purchase! After reading multiple reviews about several vacuum cleaners, was looking for a carpet and wood floor vacuum - and chose this one. This unit is easy to assemble, and instructions are good. First use today - 3 height settings (there are 5). First setting - medium carpet setting works great, even with a bit of baking soda sprinkled - picked up every bit of dirt and the baking soda; best to go at a slow to medium pace - not fast - just regular style picks up more dirt. Second setting - low carpet - with another sprinkling of baking soda (full box in a medium room). This took a bit longer (maybe 5 minutes), but it picked up all dirt and all baking soda - just have to use a slower pace for a thorough cleaning result. Third setting - stairs with carpet - low carpet setting - the detachable handle with upholstery tool attachment - works great and easy to use. With the detachable handle and additional accessories, a hand held vacuum is not needed - this works just as well! Maybe not as convenient as a hand held vacuum, but it works well. Last step - be sure to empty the dust cup - very easy to detach and empty from the bottom. One more plus - super light - easy to carry or tilt back and push on a hard floor. I'll provide additional updates and photos with more use such as a hardwood floor. Overall - very impressed and it looks great, too! I would give this vacuum 6 stars but 5 is completely fair!

Excellent for Carpet
Color: Purple
Size: NEU182B with Washable Filter
Project Farm brought me here. Excellent vacuum for carpet. To test it, I first vacuumed with my trusty Kenmore Canister vac; then with the Eureka and the Eureka got a shocking amount of cat hair and dust that my Kenmore didn't. To be honest, the attachments and hose leave a lot to be desired as the hose is rather stiff and short. But, for the price and performance of the carpet head and suction alone, you can't beat the performance anywhere near the price range. My parents are going to buy one for the same thing and keep the canister vac for dusting. Very easy to use, and empty. The on/off switch being a foot pedal was interesting to find out, but it works great; though not sure if you can turn the carpet brush head off when using the hose with attachments. Excellent cheap vacuum, get the purple one, it's the cheapest option.

This vacuum sucks...In a good way LoL
Color: Purple
Size: NEU182B with Washable Filter
Easy to assemble, powerful suction, light weight, easy to maneuver. Super easy to dump the dust cup, just push the tab at the bottom and the trap door swings into action, no more messy emptying. Nice selection of onboard tools. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new vacuum since I will eventually get hard floor surfaces. This fit the need and I recommend it. Only con is I wish the hose was a bit longer.

Doesn’t work after having it less than 1 week

After 6 days, the brush stopped spinning. Seems to be an issue with the belt. Very disappointed UPDATE: they quickly mailed a new belt at no cost and that fixed the problem. Great customer service!

Durability and allergy issues override the suction performance and price benefits
Color: Purple
Size: NEU182B with Washable Filter
The Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner was a mediocre choice for me. It has strong suction for the price and does a good job picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from both my carpet and hard floors. It’s fairly lightweight at around 10 pounds and easy to carry around the house, which makes vacuuming less of a chore. The large dust cup is convenient since I don’t have to stop and empty it constantly. I would only need to empty it every third time I vacuumed if I chose to. I like that it comes with multiple height settings for different floor types or just wanting a deeper suction for one floor type. The foam filter is easy to wash out, and I do so after each use. The biggest downside has been durability. After about the first year, one of the rear wheels started coming loose. At first it was only occasional, but it has progressively gotten worse over time. Now the wheel falls off several times every time I vacuum, and I have to stop and reattach it repeatedly, which has become very frustrating. Another con is that the vacuum blows dust around. When I am vacuuming, I can see loose items or bed sheets blowing as the vacuum comes closer. This is not ideal for my allergies. This vacuum performs well for the price and cleans better than I expected from a budget model, but the wheel issue and long-term durability problems keep it from being a five-star product.

Eureka Bagless vacuum

Size: NEU182B with Washable Filter
I purchased this for my daughter’s first apartment, and it has been a great choice. It was easy to assemble, reasonably priced, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The included attachments are a nice bonus and add to its versatility. Overall, it offers great value for the money and has worked well for her needs. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and practical option.
