This machine really swivels easily so be careful when placing it in a spot and holding on to it correctly. Also it sucks up EVERYTHING! Worked very well out the box and easy to assemble. I was impressed and hope it continues to do its job. Roller can easily be cleaned and all parts are accessible so that you can maintain clean as well. I got it during a deal and worth every cent!!! I was hesitant to buy one that didn’t meet all the marks and this one surpassed. With 2 dogs and 2 daughters hair pick up was essential and it did not disappoint! ... show more

I waited a few months to give this vacuum some use before rating it. I love it! The suction is impressive when using the wand. The attachments are well thought out and so handy. UPDATE: After fiddling with the floor heightening dial, it seems to be working better and picking up more stuff on the carpet and rugs. For carpet, I put it on level 5, for rugs I put it on 3 and that has helped. I've added another star since some of the problem may have been a user error. Original review: I had an older Bissell vacuum that I loved that recently died. I decided to replace it with this Bissell Clear view since it got such high reviews. The new Bissell is just ok for me. I don't think it works as well as my original one and I hate that it doesn't have the option to turn off the brush like the last one (this is a HUGE annoyance for me). It just doesn't seem to have the same level of suction like the old one. The hose is not very long and you have to lay the vacuum down so that the brush doesn't dig into the carpet when you are using that. The hose does have really good suction as does the pet upholstery attachment, and I also love having the swivel option as it helps to get around things. The canister is pretty easy to empty; I am finding things getting stuck on the filter in the canister, however, and maybe that's why there are suction issues?? This one seems to be more cheaply made and while I appreciate that it's lighter weight, it just doesn't seem to have the same quality as the old one (I don't know that it's going to last the 10+ years like my other one did). I'm going to keep it since I don't want to have to hassle with returning this, and it's in my price range, but I don't think I would really recommend if you are looking for something more heavy duty as this is more for light cleaning. ... show more

I'm brand new to living on my own and adulting. I really wanted a good vacuum without destroying my already suffering bank account. I settled on this one, even though I don't have pets, because I know the carpet of my house has only been vacuumed by a really old vacuum for probably a decade or more, so I knew the carpet was probably way worse than it looked. I LOVE this thing. It was really easy to assemble, the swivel part makes it really easy to maneuver, and the attachments are great! I'm not even really sure what the pet-specific attachment is for, but it still did a great job getting small bits out of smaller areas of the carpet. The regular vacuum part got up SO much dust and dirt. I was kind of mortified but actually very relieved that it works so well. It works well on my hard floors in my kitchen as well when the settings are adjusted for that type of flooring. And it's got the easy emptying mechanic where you remove the barrel thingy and press a button to empty it into the trash. It can maintain a good deal of dust/dirt in the barrel though, but that's to be expected--that's just how dust/dirt works. It's about as heavy as I would expect a decent vacuum to be, but it's definitely not difficult for me to lift on the rare occasion I need to lift it. I think this was a really good vacuum for me to start with. I show it off to anyone who will listen. ... show more

This is a great value in vacuums - great suction, light weight, lots of great attachments, easy to empty. The minor issues - cord could be a bit longer; clip at the top of handle to hold the cord up does not have enough strength, and the clip on the vacuum body that holds the hose can break pretty easily if bashed by accident. Probably the best vacuum I ever had. Picks up literally anything and is very reliable for hard to reach areas due to the rotating head. Also comes with different parts for different things. If you have a pet it has a whole separate piece for pet hair.

Works like a charm! We have 2 dogs that shed ALOT and this thing gets deep in the carpet to lift it up. Some people say they wish the cord length was longer, but I think it’s quite long enough! We have had a Shark and a Dyson vacuum and neither worked as good as this. Easy to assemble, and lightweight to move around. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do like the lift away aspect of other brands like shark, and the carpet height selector is a knob that you manual rotate on the base of the vacuum rather than something operated with the thumb on the handle. The handle operated ones make it easier to quickly swap between carpet and hardwood/tile. ... show more
