Does not handle odor well. Got stuck twice, inoperable until I reset the drum twice. In other words it worked until it didn’t… two cats so it was busy.. I have it outside now. My other automatic letterbox is heavier and handles odors really well, but not a closed drum so it’s a trade off. I pick up scratched out liter almost daily, but again .. no odor and two cats.

This product works great. We already have a Litter Robot and wanted a second automatic box. We decided to get a different model and type to see if it worked as well as the LR does. To our surprise, it works even better. It is cheaper and looks nice and the cats love it. If you want a lower-cost alternative to the the more expensive brands, I would recommend this.

This works great for my three cats. Assembly was straightforward and the unit is sturdy. My only problem so far has been that litter somehow gets between the drum and the base and gets ground to dust in the gear mechanism. This allowed for the litter to settle inside the base which then caused my unit to think that there was a cat inside the drum (weight sensors are presumably in the base). The safety mechanism doesn’t allow for the drum to reset if a cat is present, so for a day my cats couldn’t use this until I cleaned the base (essentially held it upside down and shook all the litter out through the slot where the gear was). I’m not sure if the issue is with the brand of litter or if there should be a gasket or something between the drum and base. This issue came up about three months after I started using it. Aside from this, the cats are loving this and it’s been a great help for us in reducing the time spent on scooping litter.

This litter box is a game changer. Works well with keeping litter clean and the area odor free. My kitty took to it right away. It is fairly quiet and has safety features built in so it won't cycle if it senses a cat inside. You can set the "clumping" time before it cycles. It is set to 2 minutes by default which I left since it seems like a sufficient amount of time. It was easy to connect to WiFi and the app you download on your phone tells you when the litter is insufficient, if there's a cat inside, cycling, etc. It's very easy to change out the litter bag, too. Just pull out the drawer, pull up the bag strings and you're done. I've had it about a month and so far very happy with it. Why pay triple the amount for other brands when this one works great?! Recommend this product!

I recieved this self-cleaning litter box on October 9th, and I am writing this review on January 8th, making this a 90-day review. The litter box worked as advertised for the first month, but shortly after that it stopped rotating consistently on its own. Because the cleaning cycle is unreliable, urine collects and sits at the bottom instead of being properly removed. This has resulted in extremely strong and unpleasant odor buildup. I now have to clean this litter box manually as often as a regular litter box—sometimes more—which completely defeats the purpose of paying for an expensive automated product. I purchased this specifically to reduce odor and daily maintenance, and it no longer does either. For the price point, this level of performance after such a short period of use is unacceptable. I would not recommend this product due to failure to function as advertised.
