It feels pretty useful. The biggest advantage is that I don't have to scoop the litter box everyday anymore. The automatic cleaning really saves time, and the smell at home seems better than before. The space inside is also roomy enough, so my cat doesn't look cramped when using it. I also like that the app can show the usage records, which is convenient. The downside is that the machine is a bit large, so it does take up some space. Also, the first setup and app connection took me a little time to figure out, overall, I think it is a good choice for people who want something more convenient and want to keep the litter box cleaner.

I absolutely love the freedom that this automatic litter box brings. I don’t have to do it everyday. I have 2 cats and change the bag about every 4 days. It’s perfect for when I’m not home. Makes one less thing to do on a daily basis. The only issue is every now and then one of the cats scoops the clean litter onto the tray outside but I have it sitting on a large rug to catch the litter. I think the quality is good and it’s a value for the money.

I’ve been using this for three months now. At first the convenience of being able To use the app and stuff was great. Over time I have realized this is not great. First off there is no odor trapping. My litter box was LESS stinky when it was a $30 box versus a $200 box. Also there’s a lot of little bits the box doesn’t not catch so I still have to sift through it with a scooper and it’s not very comfortable to reach inside of. The box to catch the dirty litter underneath smells horrible. It’s meant to have liners and the bags it came with IMMEDIATELY rip when you try and slide the bottom box into the dedicated slots for it. So that’s very inconvenient so then I was like well I want the bag so I’ll rest it under but now it REEKS! I have tried new bags I had to buy deodorizers for around the area which I never had to do before. Now that the box underneath won’t go into the slots without ripping any bags, sometimes litter falls out of it and onto the surround floor so it’s even messier than my simple litter box. I have a 9 year old cat and she does not seem comfortable in there and she’s not oversized at all. She’s starting to pee outside the box when I have never had this issue with her. It’s not worth it. Get something else! I really tried and there is some great convenience to an automatic litter box but this one is a waste of money, Thankfully AMAZON helped out with some compensation but truly just spend your money on anything else. I’ve have tried so many ways to make this box work for our kitties and it’s just not good.

In terms of physical product (design, materials, and assembly) this seems like a promising buy. Unboxing and preparation for use is severely under-documented: there were numerous packing materials inside the device that were not described anywhere and that surely required removal in order for the product to function. The accompanying "user guide" likewise leaves a lot to be desired in terms of both content and presentation--it suffers greatly from "Engrish". The device itself is further festooned with labels. In short there is a painful lack of a single and reliable resource for all information about the device and its use. Once ready and powered on, its operation also is a bit puzzling. There is a lot of delay after pressing the button to execute a cycle. The cycle appears to stop for a very long time in the "open" and not-ready state before returning to the ready-for-use condition. I suspect that there is an expectation from the manufacturer/designers that "the app will do all". I am opposed to such things and do not intend to connect this device to my home network. It is further observed that "Warcat" branding does not appear anywhere on the device, the documentation, or the packaging, leading to the conclusion--supported by some anecdotal internet evidence--that this is a generic product that is manufactured to be sold under various guises and trade names. This specific product is sold also by Chewy, which is what led me to the purchasing decision. If it works, it's a good buy; but there have been enough oddities in the first 24 hours of use that I am hesitant to go so far as recommend it to anyone else. UPDATE: after a few weeks of use I've come to the conclusion that this product is "OK," but Litter Robot is better. The only things this product has going for it is smaller size and lower cost. It is missing a key feature that is found on Litter Robot, which is an automated means to completely empty out the drum of all contents (i.e., remaining old litter) into the collection bin. This Warcat product requires you to manually remove the drum and dump it out, which is considerably less convenient. If you can afford a Litter Robot, buy that. Otherwise, this product is adequate but not stellar. SECOND UPDATE: after about 1.5 months we are decommissioning this after one (of 2) cats failed to adapt to it. The same cat is using a Litter Robot successfully. I attribute the problem to any one or a combination of these factors: (1) Warcat aperture (entrance) is much smaller compared to Litter Robot; (2) Warcat chamber is more cylindrical compared to Litter Robot's more spherical chamber (therefore, closer quarters even if net volume may be similar); (3) Warcat has no interior illumination while Litter Robot does. The problem with this one cat is she would enter Warcat but not turn around, so when she urinated it exited the device through the entrance. We tried a number of things to improve the contrasting appearance between the litter and the outside, but it was not successful and so we have decided to remove the Warcat from service.

Easy setup, not to difficult to build. However, it took me nearly two hours to figure out the WiFi portion of it. The box wouldn’t flash yellow, not allowing it to connect to the app. Be sure to keep the litter box on a level surface when connecting, and take the barrel out of the box to help. Works well, now. Decent size, not too bulky. Cleans the box great, not sure how the smell is going to be, playing that by ear. Overall, a good litter box if you’re looking to save some money. Edit: Be sure to buy a very good clumping litter, as sometimes the cat’s waste can be smeared around the rotator, rather than fall through to the bin at the bottom. Also, it helps if your cat covers up his waste after he goes. The smell is definitely better than how it was with my old/normal litter box. Be sure to not get the litter box wet, I was unfortunate enough to not notice the “do not get wet” sticker, and washed mine with water, rather than a wet cloth, and I had to end up getting a new one because it wouldn’t turn on. I would still recommend this litter box if you’re looking for an automatic one on a budget.
