  • Best pregnancy purchase ever Best pregnancy purchase ever
Color: Brown
Best purchase ever. Decided to bite the bullet because I am pregnant and with my husband working all the time this became a chore nobody wanted to do. We have three cats with our largest at at 15 lb and our smallest at 4. Needless to say, our litter box is filled up pretty quickly and became very smelly. All of our cats like to dig and it created such a mess. We were going between this and the robot litter 3/4 but ultimately decided to do this as I liked how enclosed it was because our dogs like to eat cat poop and I enjoyed the overall look and ability to easily disassemble and clean. I think that is my favorite feature is how easy it is to take apart and clean. It's surprisingly lightweight and really durable. My dog has accidentally knocked into it quite a few times and it'll move around but it stays together. It's mostly plastic but but sturdy enough that our cats play on it and it doesn't give at all. I love the notifications it gives me and it tells me when the box is full or having any other issues so I don't have to baby it. I usually hate having robots because you end up having to micromanage them, but I honestly forget about this half the time and it's such a wonderful thing to have in our lives. It doesn't hot box the cats, our largest cat has no issue using it, there was absolutely no smell whereas prior we could smell whenever they had big stinky poops and the urine would definitely start to smell if we didn't scoop it right away. It's so nice to just have it clean after every single use and I love the fragrance feature. Where we used to have huge issues with litter tracking around the whole house. I have no problems with this. The mat catches so much litter it's insane. We've had those ones for almost 2 months now and it is my favorite purchase of all time. Our cats aren't super picky about their litter box so they were using it the same day They definitely were very interested in the cleaning cycle for a little bit, but the sensors are super strong and we'll stop anytime the cat goes near the box, which is great peace of mind. We will be buying one for my in-laws for Christmas for their cats. Can't recommend this enough. ... show more

  • Love this! Less tracking and oopsies prints. Would be 5 stars if the lid didn't give me problems. Love this! Less tracking and oopsies prints. Would be 5 stars if the lid didn't give me problems.
Color: Brown
Works well with two cats. With the old scoop litter pan, our younger cat tended to step in his or his sister's mess and track it. With this unit, it cleans every time one of them goes, so less mess and moping. (Makes this germaphobe's life better, šŸ˜†) One of our cats is very timid so she's had a difficult time getting used to it. I contacted Snowy and they extended the return window out anouther month and gave us suggestions. She is now using it after we removed the lid for a month and we also turned off the air freshener. We also found a stickable motion activated light that helped. We placed it under the lid just inside the doorway so it doesn't shine in their eyes and they can feel more comfortable. The three gripes I have are: 1) Their weights aren't accurate, so it only shows one cat using all the time and not the other at all. I do like the little stories it gives you after your cat goes. 2) The lid doesn't seat properly until you hit the top a few times. Snowy sent me a video of a fix by removing all the screws of a piece up front and reinstalling it. Just thinking that this should have already been quality checked and fixed before sending out to your customers and having them fix it? 3) The pan doesn't accurately tell you when it's full so you need learn how many days to change the bag for your cats. Positives: 1) I do like the bag system, you never even have to see the mess. 2) I really like the mat that grabs most of the litter when the cat leaves the unit. 3) Odor control. The only time I ever smell anything is right after our cats go and when it cleans it. We do have the curtain taped open for now and also have the fragrance off for our timid cat, but the fragrance does make a difference. If it's really smelly then it's probably full. 4) I do like how clean it gets and it is a good design. We do have to take a lisol wipe to it once a week or so, some does tend to stick to the sides sometimes if they go on the wall of the basin. We take it apart every 3 weeks to throughly clean it and change the litter. Our youngest cat will run up to it after his sister goes just so he can watch it clean, very entertaining for him. 5) It has a very aesthetically pleasing design that fits under the shelf in my laundry room. All in all, this is a far better system than the regular cat pan or pellet system, which was pretty good except our little one kept stepping in it before it dried. I still gave it 4 stars because of lack of quality control with the lid. If not for that, I would have given it 5 stars. This has made our lives easier, cleaner and the mess is very rare. I do vacuum up a few stray litter granules but, it's not very much. There are some flaws but, with time, I'm sure they'll be fixed. Update: Customer service by far, the best in the business. Every issue has been addressed. ... show more

  • BEST AUTOMATIC CAT LITTER BOX CLEANER
Color: Cream
Very expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! This is the absolute best cat litter box automatic cleaner! It's easy to use. The cat waste bin is AMAZING! I just love when you open the tray, the bag is already closed and ready for you to pull it out and replacing the bag takes 5 seconds. It never leaks. Other automatic cleaners would end up having bits of the waste and clumping cat litter along the edges and outside of the bag and it was a royal pain to clean. That NEVER happens with PetSnowy. It's very sturdy. Both of my cats, 1 that's 22 lbs likes to jump on the top and sit there. The inside container is easy to clean. Once a week, I take out the litter bed, clean it, add new litter and wipe down the inside of the container. I also clean the litter mat, and wipe down the entire machine, inside and out, including under the round container. All in, can take about 20-30 mins, depending on how much the litter bed needs to be scrubbed. I had to recently move back into my father's home to help care for him and my father and brother had the cat litter box in the same room as the dining room table, practically next to it. I couldn't stand it because it smelled so bad!!!! Especially because the 22 lb cat, for whatever reason would like to go to the bathroom just as we would be sitting down to eat. PetSnowy has fixed that problem. I NEVER smell anything. People that come over are astonished that they can't smell anything either, which has led them to buy their own PetSnowy. The app is always letting you know everything going on with it. Including, when it's cleaning and deodorizing, when it's completed. If something is wrong, whether that's the wi-fi connection or the top wasn't installed correctly or when the waste tray hasn't been installed correctly. That has only happened when I'm cleaning and/or putting it back together when done. It tells you when the deodorizer needs to be replaced. I can't say enough good things about this automatic cat litter box cleaner!!! Thank You! ... show more

  • Great but not perfect.
Color: Brown
Been using it for about 2 weeks now and I’m pretty happy with it. Works as advertised for the most part. Oder is just about non existent when not being used but you will notice some smell when the globe is rotating and there is a few days worth of waste in the tray. Smell does not linger though as the deodorizing system seems to work pretty well. I will say though you have to change the bag in the tray more often than originally advertised. We’ve had it for 2 weeks and I’m on the fourth bag and that’s for just one cat. We’ve had two litter tray full alerts so far. First one about 5 days in, second only four days later. I changed the third bag after 5 days and I think I’m just gonna go with that. Bags are expensive in my opinion but hopefully there is some off brand bags to get. Guess he goes a lot. Litter stays in the box. Almost no tracking when compared to a conventional litter box. Yes you will still see some tracking but it’s very minimal. My main issue with it is that clumps get stuck to the rubber liner and don’t fall into the waste drawer. I’ve researched a few fixes but haven’t tried any yet. I use Tiddy cats litter and will be switching to the arm and hammer slide litter once we run out. I will also add some baking soda in between the rubber liner and globe, so that it bulges out when rotating. Wish they had added more slots on the bottom of the globe to allow air to get between the globe and liner more easily when rotating. Or added a small flat weighted plate to the inside of the rubber liner to force it to bulge out when rotating. Just my two cents. But overall a great buy. Cat transitioned easily for us. I removed the old box and put PetSnowy in its place with the top cover off. Kitty climbed in and used it though out the day. After 24 hours I placed the cover back on and he just knew what to do. So I would recommend. ... show more

  • Best Automatic Litter Box on the Market... Puts Litter Robot to shame Best Automatic Litter Box on the Market... Puts Litter Robot to shame
Color: Brown
I'm comparing PetSnowy to the Litter Robot (LR), because I had both LR 3 and 4, and returned both to help those trying to decide. If you don't feel like reading through the below, go with PetSnowy, LR is crap. The pictures attached are after 1 week without me even touching the unit. I don't have pictures of LR, but after a day, my entire basement floor, which is also the family room would be covered with litter. LR may be the best selling but by far not the best. My main issue with LR was the mess it lef outside of the unit. What's the point of no scooping, if you had a mess of litter and even poop all over the floor. They PetSnowy's design, where the globe is perpendicular to the entrance and the cat has to turn in order to use it, makes it better than all the rest for 2 reasons. First, since it's hidden within the unit, the cat doesn't see the waste rolling during a cleaning cycle so he doesn't interrupt the cleaning. With the LR, it's in the open, and my cat would go in to try to bury it again... if you're going make a product for cats, at least understand cat behavior. Second, the mat infront of the globe catches most of the litter before the cat steps out of the unit so there's less tracking. Obviously its not 100%; when the mat gets full it'll start tracking outside, but it's manageable, no where as bad as with LR. Also, clean up.is way easier, the bags are self closing so you don't see the poop.when you remove the waste, it's easier to fill than the LR bc you fill from the top. With LR you fill from the front so it's awkward and you always end up spilling some outside of the unit, even with a scooper. And cleaning the globe is easy to, LR is clumsy and awkward. With SnowyPet you remove the cover and take out the globe, which is smaller over all than LR, but the pooping area is actually bigger. The only cons I see so far after 1 week is that it uses weight sensors instead of photo sensors, so it thinks the cat used it when he may have only jumped on top of the unit, and it doesn't notify you when the wast basket is full or the globe needs note litter, but they say that it can go up to 2 weeks without cleaning, and from what I seeing after 1 week, it appears to be the case. Also this is minor, but the mess is vary large so some large pieces domt get filtered out, although they do sell a smaller mess which has to be ordered separately, that ive ordered. But these cons do not impact performance really. I'm very happy with the unit so far. There are a bunch of other features that I didn't explain but overall this is the best in the market bc all the others creat a mess. I know for sure LR does bc I had thar one, but all the others have the same design as LR. This is the only one that hides everything which makes it better. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 is bc of those two issues. If I could give it a 4.5 I would, and 5 means that it's perfect, but it's not there yet. Updated to 5 stars after 2 weeks. Based on the following, it literally take 2 minutes to clean and the waste tray is clean, no litter outside of the bag. Also virtually zero tracking as long as you clean the mat inside the unit - those picks above are from when i posted my initial comment and its still the same way. The only thing, at least for my cat, I have to empty the waste tray once a week - but that's not a deal breaker for me. Hands down, the best self cleaning litter box. ... show more

  • Solid hardware, embarrassingly bad mobile app. Solid hardware, embarrassingly bad mobile app.
Color: Brown
Litter Box works great. Their Mobile App, however, is trash. If they'd stayed with the old app, I'd give this five stars. They updated the app a few months ago - it is prettier, but data is unreliable and notifications arrive nearly constantly for every little thing (and no way to filter the notifications to only those one deems to be important - like if it is full or malfunctioning). It detects individual cats based on weight, but over the last few months, this has become inconsistent - it is unclear if this is app related, unit related, or the cats are the culprit. Because it is weight actuated, Cats sitting on top also counts as "inside." This is not a complaint or defect - just a fact. Based on the App alone - if that is remotely important to you - I can't in good conscience recommend this product given its high price, and wish I had tried another. HOWEVER If you have no interest in using the mobile application... the litter box itself works fine. This is my first automatic litter box and it is a game changer (despite the app). Cats adjusted to it in no time (I opted to not install the curtain - which helped with acceptance) It is a bit large, but the dimensions are clearly stated and it looks attractive enough (I appreciate not seeing the litter). Be sure to remove the drum and vacuum out the scattered litter from the mechanism every few weeks - otherwise it will lock up as litter collects in places it should not. Fortunately, removing the top and drum to do this is very simple, as is putting it back together. I use generic clumping litter - it works fine and odor is usually unnoticeable. It is also important to inspect inside once the litter drawer is pulled out - to ensure no clumps escaped when pulling out the drawer. (if this happens - eww) It is quiet, except the occasional loud thump of large clumps falling into the bin. Inexpensive third party bag refills are available and seem to work okay. We have 3 cats and replace the litter bin bag roughly twice a week. (the deodorizing cartridges, however, are a racket in my opinion. They cost more than they are worth to me ($13/month) - I've not bought any since the two that came with the unit were used up and I don't really notice the absence) Unfortunately, our skittish, OCD cats still manage to track litter out in their haste - but this is still a significant improvement over the traditional top-entry litter box it replaced. I'll be sure to update this review if the vendor ever fixes their mobile application. ... show more

  • I’m gonna be totally honest…
Color: Cream
This is a great automatic litter bin but there are some issues I think could be improved. I have two brother cats and they are quite clean and considerate little men at 1 year and 5 months. We got this box when they were 8 months and it took about 3 weeks for my one scaredy cat to use it regularly. My other boy was just excited to have a clean box every time he used it, and when the little prince wasn’t eaten by the new boss in the corner my scaredy cat came around. Pros: no scooping, monthly deep clean, weekly maintenance with 2 boys switching out the bag and returning the litter to the tray from the mats. We did buy an additional mat to put outside the box which does the trick. The top is easy to take on and off to reach the drum for weekly clean up. Easy app to use. Love the deodorizing feature, there’s never any smell unless you’re peering into the box for inspections, and it can be set to run the deodorizing cycle after every cleaning. Both cartridges it comes with smell really good: Snowy Zephyr (the tan cartridge) smells floral and subtle, and would pair well with Champagne Toast from Bath and Body Works. Weekend Elegance (the white cartridge) smells musky and sweet, and would pair well with Mahogany Teakwood. I hate it when products don’t give any frame of reference for scents… Kitties have privacy with the ā€œhallwayā€ style opening, and our big back dogs can’t get into it for snacking. Whisper quiet (can’t hear it over the ac), even the thunk of the waste hitting the bin doesn’t phase us or the cats. Top loading litter door is convenient to top off litter. Cons: I would prefer for the base to be a little taller to give the waste bag more room to expand; the waste bin is horizontal and rectangular, with the opening in the drum being square and near the back of where the tray sits, instead of centered. As a result, when the bin is full to capacity, pulling the tray out leaves nasty streaks to clean, and will sometimes leave streaks on the drum as it moves. Hence the weekly cleaning. Considering it’s once a week vs everyday scooping, I can’t complain too much. The bag quality in general is lacking, as the bag is hooked onto four anchor points, two of which are on a bar that slides back and forth to open and close the bag. Ideally the bar would be caught on the track and open the bag as you close the drawer, then as you open the drawer it would catch the opposite way and close the bag so you never have to see any waste. This is not the case when the bag is full, as the bag doesn’t close all the way thus creating streaks all along the under side of the base, which you have to remove the top and drum completely to access without getting on your hands and knees. This could be resolved by increasing the height of the bin where the bag is so the bag can expand DOWN instead of horizontally, which it doesn’t. Next is the app not allowing multiple users to add the device at the same time. I am the primary litter lord in the house, thus I have the device added to my phone, but it sure would be nice for my partner to be able to access features digitally from their phone as well. The manual buttons do the trick but you lose access to the scheduling, weight tracking, and deodorizing functions. I wish the tray that the actual litter sits in was easier to get in and out for cleaning, as it is a rubberized hammock style tray. That hammock is great because when the drum inverts it flips inside out and ensures that hardly anything sticks to the tray. But the plastic ring that grasps the hammock is really difficult to maneuver to clean the crevices. There’s no built in light, and our boys prefer to have some mood lighting. That’s just their preference, so we bought little hallway motion sensor lights that recharge, simple fix. The weight sensors are in the feet of the base, and not in the drum itself, and the top is perfect for sitting. So our boys trip the weight sensors when they perch atop their throne and we constantly get notifications that a weight has been detected for longer than two minutes and to reset the weight. All in all, it still gets five freaking stars vs traditional scooping. For multi cat households and multi pet households it’s a win. ... show more

  • Do Not Settle For Less! Buy It!! Do Not Settle For Less! Buy It!!
My review contains first impressions, adjustment period, long term use, cleaning, comparison to competition, and feedback to PetSnowy. Long story short, this is by far the box you need to buy, do not settle with the competition or you will be disappointed with some other overseas hunk of junk. Day 1, Unpacking/ Configuration This litter box was refreshingly simple. There is little to no assembly required. You essentially pull it out of the box, remove the tape, connect the app (which took 2 minutes) and it’s ready to go. Day 2, Adjustment Period My cats immediately adjusted to the box. I tried to make it as easy as possible for them while giving them room to figure it out. I have an 8 year old female cat and a 7 month old male cat. I popped out and set aside the curtain, poured their prior litter box contents into this one, discarded the old box, and set both cats individually into the litter box so they understood what it was for. An important note: I also completely changed rooms (from my office to the living room) and this did not phase them a bit. A couple things that may have helped, I turned off automation for the scent and automation for clean up. I wanted to ensure they could smell and they weren’t being spooked by new sounds. They may have found it without these adjustments, but I believe it helped. 3 Months, Long Term I’ve used it for a few months now and mannnn.. This has quickly become a necessity. I really have to say, this outcompetes every other automatic litter box on the market because of thorough and thoughtful design. The little hallway is PIVATOL. All other litter box designs will still drive you crazy with the problem of litter tracking every time your cat hops out. I am safe to forget about this box for a week, box right in the living room, and never think to clean it. This box has yet to show any issues. Cleaning Cleaning is beyond easy. There’s zero litter on my floors for all times. I no longer have to wake to the smell of waste, or worry about leaving the house for a day or two only come back to.. gah.. And when you do get to a point where you need to deep clean the parts, it’s a breeze. There are no locking pieces, or clips, or anything that’s gonna make running a couple wipes over plastic a hassle. One thing that makes cleaning easier is a handheld vacuum, just a heads up. Competition Roughly 6 months prior to this purchase, I purchased (and quickly returned) an automatic litter box from a different seller. My frustration from that box started within the first hour of set up. With that machine, I remember I had to disassemble and reassemble just to get it running, and the app would not connect until I troubleshooted online. It had sooo many problems, and was unusable within the first month. Of course, after I returned, I went back to cleaning litter the default way, scoop in my hand. I never realized how gross it was! Waste right in your face for several minutes.. I was gagging every morning. On top of all I’ve already mentioned, PetSnowy’s machine is the only one that takes into factor litter tracking. Things for PetSnowy to improve on with future models: < I think the current material is great, it’s really not cheap feeling, and it was likely chosen because it’s lightweight. I do however think a lot of people would lean towards a harder plastic even at the cost of a price bump. There’s just a huge difference in the feel of a hard smooth shiny plastic that’s unexplainably satisfying. < Please include a curved scraper to help along anything that gets stuck. I notice that what does get stuck usually falls on its own eventually, but there was a brief time where I felt the need to constantly help it along with a normal scoop. < Alternate liner options; The current liners are simply expensive. I have a cabinet plump full of Walmart sacks ready to serve a purpose. You would make great sales on a replacement drawer intended to hold grocery sacks in place rather than having us buy these specialty bags. I assume the reason you have specialty bags is so you can afford to sell such a reliable system, but still.. The current bags are unreasonably expensive for a budget conscious consumer. < The curtain is a difficult adjustment. My cats just think it’s closed, and I ended up with a pile by the door the day I tried reattaching. Now that I think about it, I will probably try a paper clamp, make the opening smaller and smaller. Please include something similar for others. < Rollers are likely in demand for a lot of your elders. I’m in my 20’s so it’s not an issue for me, but the box plus litter can get fairly heavy. For those who are not capable of moving, I can imagine they would quickly opt in to purchase attachable rollers for the sack of cleaning underneath. ... show more
