2 years of owning self-cleaning litterbox, it makes it so easy. Keeps dog from eating cat poo because he cannot get into the enclosure, and that helps contain odors as well. Did some research and Hardball litter has worked very well in it with very little being lost each cleaning cycle, so a box of litter can last over a month with a litter bag needing to be changed every 2 weeks. My cat is happy, I am happy, and I would strongly recommend any cat owner get this litter box to make life so much easier. I'm glad I did my research and bought this brand, because it has so many safety features that make it impossible to hurt my cat like some cheaper ones have horror stories of doing. It is very nice to be able to look in the app and see how frequently my cat is using the litter box, to ensure they are using it regularly.

We recently adopted a 3 year old shorthair who was filling up a 14x19 traditional litter box every other day, much more often than our last cats. After having adopted 4 cats over my life, I finally gave up and looked thoroughly at automatic litter box options for the first time. After a week of reading and watching many reviews, I settled on the Catsnowy deluxe with fine mesh filter. The main reason was that we have a child that will get into litter if it’s easily within reach. This design was the only one that really kept the litter isolated from children. Upon arrival I was worried our cat wouldn’t like it. Even though he isn’t shy or skittish, he was extremely upset to be placed near the Catsnowy and would constantly run away. Picking him up was a massive fight to place him into the litter box via the top lid (clawing/ scratching/etc). However I was able to trick him with a few treats in the entryway, which finally got him interested. I loaded half the bowl with old litter and the other half with the same but new litter. I also left the curtain up, as he is a bit skittish of enclosed spaces. I intend to lower it after a few more days of use. Within 2 hours of setup he has used it twice for poops and it has worked flawlessly with no odor. The ease of setup and simplicity of the unit, along with a great app definitely have made this unit worth the double or triple cost compared to the competitor. Luckily this came with thirty bags, which should last me half a year or so. I love the fact that the litter will empty straight into a bag. I was initially shocked by how small and shallow the litter containment / max fill line was. However our cat has had no issue with two big poops. Since it cleans after every entry, it’s actually going to be a money saver in the long run, since I won’t use as much litter per refill. I estimate it’s probably 1/3 of the amount of litter I used with my other traditional litter box. My only concerns were that the top portion of the unit came partially broken at one of the attachment points to the left of the entryway, but this hasn’t affected operation at all so I’m not worried (see photo). Another concern I hope they fix with an update is that the reset button doesn’t seem to be an option on the app (or I just haven’t dug deep enough to find it). Since I keep the unit permanently locked due to our children, I will have to unlock the control panel (very handy feature) in the app, hit the reset button after each refill of litter, then the lock the controls via the app. Another minor issue that I don’t really care about is that the weight sensor is wildly inaccurate, as others have reported. I have one cat that’s 9.3 pounds which I added as a pet profile in the app. But so far I have seen 22 lbs, 6 lbs, 10.5 lbs and 10.6 lbs so far. Perhaps he’s now 10.5 lbs not 9.3 lbs (from a vet visit ten days ago) and the unit is finally settling into the correct setting. However, it still says “unregistered pet” in the usage section. I wish I could just tell the app i only have the one pet so that it stops asking me to register a second pet. Tracking wise, there is a decent amount of litter brought out by my cat each time (see video). However, that could be due to the type of litter used (Tcats). We will be switching to Dr. E’s ultra and trying clump and seal from A&H as well. I’ll update if those brands significantly improve tracking of litter outside the box. Noise wise it’s barely audible compared to my air filtration units (set to medium). Even if it were in my bedroom, I wouldn’t worry about the do not disturb mode. Overall, I’d say this is worth the money, it seems much easier to load, clean and operate over the competition. I can already tell that my life is going to be much easier with this. I love that the bag refills are very cheap for what you get and really the scent isn’t needed since it auto dumps waste right away. I already got some error codes but the fact that the error code glossary is right under the lid meant I fixed the issues in no time. I’d say this is easily 5 out of 5 stars even with its minor issues

Been using it for about 2 weeks now and I’m pretty happy with it. Works as advertised for the most part. Oder is just about non existent when not being used but you will notice some smell when the globe is rotating and there is a few days worth of waste in the tray. Smell does not linger though as the deodorizing system seems to work pretty well. I will say though you have to change the bag in the tray more often than originally advertised. We’ve had it for 2 weeks and I’m on the fourth bag and that’s for just one cat. We’ve had two litter tray full alerts so far. First one about 5 days in, second only four days later. I changed the third bag after 5 days and I think I’m just gonna go with that. Bags are expensive in my opinion but hopefully there is some off brand bags to get. Guess he goes a lot. Litter stays in the box. Almost no tracking when compared to a conventional litter box. Yes you will still see some tracking but it’s very minimal. My main issue with it is that clumps get stuck to the rubber liner and don’t fall into the waste drawer. I’ve researched a few fixes but haven’t tried any yet. I use Tiddy cats litter and will be switching to the arm and hammer slide litter once we run out. I will also add some baking soda in between the rubber liner and globe, so that it bulges out when rotating. Wish they had added more slots on the bottom of the globe to allow air to get between the globe and liner more easily when rotating. Or added a small flat weighted plate to the inside of the rubber liner to force it to bulge out when rotating. Just my two cents. But overall a great buy. Cat transitioned easily for us. I removed the old box and put PetSnowy in its place with the top cover off. Kitty climbed in and used it though out the day. After 24 hours I placed the cover back on and he just knew what to do. So I would recommend.

This is a great automatic litter bin but there are some issues I think could be improved. I have two brother cats and they are quite clean and considerate little men at 1 year and 5 months. We got this box when they were 8 months and it took about 3 weeks for my one scaredy cat to use it regularly. My other boy was just excited to have a clean box every time he used it, and when the little prince wasn’t eaten by the new boss in the corner my scaredy cat came around. Pros: no scooping, monthly deep clean, weekly maintenance with 2 boys switching out the bag and returning the litter to the tray from the mats. We did buy an additional mat to put outside the box which does the trick. The top is easy to take on and off to reach the drum for weekly clean up. Easy app to use. Love the deodorizing feature, there’s never any smell unless you’re peering into the box for inspections, and it can be set to run the deodorizing cycle after every cleaning. Both cartridges it comes with smell really good: Snowy Zephyr (the tan cartridge) smells floral and subtle, and would pair well with Champagne Toast from Bath and Body Works. Weekend Elegance (the white cartridge) smells musky and sweet, and would pair well with Mahogany Teakwood. I hate it when products don’t give any frame of reference for scents… Kitties have privacy with the “hallway” style opening, and our big back dogs can’t get into it for snacking. Whisper quiet (can’t hear it over the ac), even the thunk of the waste hitting the bin doesn’t phase us or the cats. Top loading litter door is convenient to top off litter. Cons: I would prefer for the base to be a little taller to give the waste bag more room to expand; the waste bin is horizontal and rectangular, with the opening in the drum being square and near the back of where the tray sits, instead of centered. As a result, when the bin is full to capacity, pulling the tray out leaves nasty streaks to clean, and will sometimes leave streaks on the drum as it moves. Hence the weekly cleaning. Considering it’s once a week vs everyday scooping, I can’t complain too much. The bag quality in general is lacking, as the bag is hooked onto four anchor points, two of which are on a bar that slides back and forth to open and close the bag. Ideally the bar would be caught on the track and open the bag as you close the drawer, then as you open the drawer it would catch the opposite way and close the bag so you never have to see any waste. This is not the case when the bag is full, as the bag doesn’t close all the way thus creating streaks all along the under side of the base, which you have to remove the top and drum completely to access without getting on your hands and knees. This could be resolved by increasing the height of the bin where the bag is so the bag can expand DOWN instead of horizontally, which it doesn’t. Next is the app not allowing multiple users to add the device at the same time. I am the primary litter lord in the house, thus I have the device added to my phone, but it sure would be nice for my partner to be able to access features digitally from their phone as well. The manual buttons do the trick but you lose access to the scheduling, weight tracking, and deodorizing functions. I wish the tray that the actual litter sits in was easier to get in and out for cleaning, as it is a rubberized hammock style tray. That hammock is great because when the drum inverts it flips inside out and ensures that hardly anything sticks to the tray. But the plastic ring that grasps the hammock is really difficult to maneuver to clean the crevices. There’s no built in light, and our boys prefer to have some mood lighting. That’s just their preference, so we bought little hallway motion sensor lights that recharge, simple fix. The weight sensors are in the feet of the base, and not in the drum itself, and the top is perfect for sitting. So our boys trip the weight sensors when they perch atop their throne and we constantly get notifications that a weight has been detected for longer than two minutes and to reset the weight. All in all, it still gets five freaking stars vs traditional scooping. For multi cat households and multi pet households it’s a win.

Very expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! This is the absolute best cat litter box automatic cleaner! It's easy to use. The cat waste bin is AMAZING! I just love when you open the tray, the bag is already closed and ready for you to pull it out and replacing the bag takes 5 seconds. It never leaks. Other automatic cleaners would end up having bits of the waste and clumping cat litter along the edges and outside of the bag and it was a royal pain to clean. That NEVER happens with PetSnowy. It's very sturdy. Both of my cats, 1 that's 22 lbs likes to jump on the top and sit there. The inside container is easy to clean. Once a week, I take out the litter bed, clean it, add new litter and wipe down the inside of the container. I also clean the litter mat, and wipe down the entire machine, inside and out, including under the round container. All in, can take about 20-30 mins, depending on how much the litter bed needs to be scrubbed. I had to recently move back into my father's home to help care for him and my father and brother had the cat litter box in the same room as the dining room table, practically next to it. I couldn't stand it because it smelled so bad!!!! Especially because the 22 lb cat, for whatever reason would like to go to the bathroom just as we would be sitting down to eat. PetSnowy has fixed that problem. I NEVER smell anything. People that come over are astonished that they can't smell anything either, which has led them to buy their own PetSnowy. The app is always letting you know everything going on with it. Including, when it's cleaning and deodorizing, when it's completed. If something is wrong, whether that's the wi-fi connection or the top wasn't installed correctly or when the waste tray hasn't been installed correctly. That has only happened when I'm cleaning and/or putting it back together when done. It tells you when the deodorizer needs to be replaced. I can't say enough good things about this automatic cat litter box cleaner!!! Thank You!

Update: This has been working well. a couple of thing I want to point out. The apps 2 minutes notification is annoying, my cats sometimes spend more than 2 minutes and get alerts. I wish there was an option in the app to increase that duration. Also I have two cats and I get bin full notification after about a week. So, their claim that it can go for 2 weeks for one cat and 1 week for 2 cats does seem to be right. I purchased it about a week ago. I have two cats and was cleaning their litter box every other day. It was becoming too much for me. I was researching self cleaning litter boxes but the reviews were mixed. Then I found this and it has mostly positive reviews. I ordered this and it arrived on time well packed. I ordered the one with small mesh as I read in the reviews that small mesh is better. I was able to set it up quickly. One mistake I made was that when I set it up my cats were curious and were exploring it. But I then turn it on and did a self cleaning cycle and they got scared and ran away. After setting it up I started watching my cats, one of them was still curious and started using it slowly but my other cat was scared and whenever I took her close to it, she ran away. Even when she was coming near it she was scared. One of the suggestion was to put the old litterbox near it and not to clean it, so when the cats will see it dirty they will stop using it and start using the new one. My female car who was scared, she kept on using the old litter box even though it was dirty. So that trick didn't work. Then I thought of an idea. I took the cover off so they can see whats inside. Then I put my female cat in it, she smelled the litter for few minutes and then came out. I left it open for few days. The self cleaning does not work when it is open, so it was ok and I didn't have to unplug it. I kept on monitoring on the app from time to time and when I see they have used it for 2-3 times, I went to the room, close the door so that cats don't come inside and see or hear it, put the cover on and did the self cleaning. I kept on doing it for few days so my cats, specially the female cat, gets used to it. After like 4-5 days, I put the cover on and monitored it on the app. Both my cats are using it fine. So, it took a while but my cats are using it fine now. My younger male cat was not scared and he started using it from day 1 or 2, but my female cat who is a about 3 years took a while. This seems to be a good self cleaning litterbox. It looks like with my two cats, I can change the bag after about a week. I dont have to scoop anymore, so it is really helpful. Now the next thing is to see how long it lasts. I have not used any self cleaning litterbox before as they have mixed reviews, but this one is really good and I definitely recommend it.

I got my Petsnowy about three weeks again- so far it’s been great. I followed the instructions and put some treats in the entryway, and I also taped the flap open for the first week because my cat hasn’t used a flap before. My cat used the box right away even though it’s quite different than her older model. Petsnowy delivers in its promise. My cat no longer kicks litter out all over the floor. A tiny bit of litter escapes- I imagine maybe from her paws- but it nothing like what she used to leave behind! The unit cleans out after her potty sessions and is amazingly quiet while doing it. It does not smell! (I change the bag twice weekly for hygiene,) changing bags is easy and not super smelly. The bag is closed when I open the drawer. I simply unhook it, fold it over, and place in the trash bin. There is little litter outside the bad. I also spray with a disinfectant each time I replace the bag to keep area clean and reduce chance of smell embedding in the plastic drawer. Petsnowy has been particularly helpful for me because I have a small space and there really isn’t a dedicated place, like a separate laundry room or basement, where I can keep a litter box out of sight and smell! A couple of things I’ve noticed: the system tacks the weight of each cat so it can identify which cat is in the litter box. This hasn’t worked so well. It thinks my cat is 1 lb more than she actually is most but not all of the time. I ended up creating two separate profiles for her with different weights so it can tag her use when it the weight varies. This isn’t so much of an issue because I only have one cat. If you have multiple cats and want to track they box use, I’m not 100% certain it would be reliable. The unit is on the large size and can’t be placed on carpet. (I may eventually get some partial board to put it on so I can move it to its final spot in another room that has carpet.) Also, you will be locked into purchasing their bags but that is a fair trade off for me because it nicely solves my litter problems.

Looks nice and the features were nice in concept. Didn’t have much time to use it as it was not well designed for multiple cats. The crawl space into the box or hole into the litter dome could be bigger. My cats really struggle with turning around in there and would often end up using the restroom on the mat or spraying out into the mat area, so it must have been crammed. They’ve never sprayed or used the bathroom anywhere or outside the litter like that before. The perfume/scent smelled great, when blowing with the smell of poop it didn’t really matter but it would sometimes circulate even after going pee and it did make the room smell a little better. I was sent the wrong color - so beware of that and maybe I was just unlucky but my unit smelled used already. Idk if they sent me a “used-very good condition” one by accident or if they refurbish returns and hope it doesn’t smell bad but nonetheless I did not feel it was a clean/new unit. I transitioned from the liter robot, and I do feel this one does a better job trapping litter since it has the secondary space but as mentioned before it was just a crammed area for my cats. All of which are long haired, 12-14 lb cats. The litter tray waste is pretty small, if you have more than 1 cat prepare to change it every 2 days. They do sell dupe bags on Amazon which is a plus because the name brand bags are expensive for not a lot. In the short 72 hours I had it, the litter was already going into tons of nooks and crannies of the unit. And having cats and previous units, I know that builds up and creates issues or just lingering smell if it’s dirty urine. No matter how much you clean it, there’s just no way to get it out. I used our air compressor but it did nothing in those small creases. If the litter was wet going in it basically just lodged inside. The ability to disassembly the entire globe and mat was awesome though. Super great for cleaning. Way better than litter robot. As far as durability, it’s all plastic. For being plastic it felt pretty secure but it just didn’t strike me as a $530 box. It’s nice in concept but the self sealing bags aren’t really self sealing. It closes upon removal of the bag but stays open in the unit so doesn’t do much for eliminating smell. When I read the description it seemed more along the lines of indicating it closes after every use which would be awesome. However, that’s not the case.
