I've had red dots from Crimson Trace, Swampfox, Sig, DeltaPoint and Holosun among others. The NUWA is one of my favorites regardless of price. - It's incredibly low profile permits co-witness with almost any stock iron sights. - The tiny size fits well on the smallest subcompacts. - The glass is incredibly clear and distortion free. - The dot is small and uniform enough to give a good sight picture on even small or distant targets. - The metal construction feels solid and the fit and finish is excellent. - The single control button works very well, giving positive feedback and no inadvertent changes. - The top loading battery can be changed without removing the sight and losing zero. The missing piece: no way to keep the sight turned on while carrying. The unchangeable 90 minute shut-off makes it completely unsuitable as a carry gun--which is a shame because it would otherwise be ideal for concealed carry. It's asking way to much to get shake-awake in a unit this small at an incredibly affordable price. I for one would happily pay twice as much for a version suitable for carry. I will enjoy using it as a range gun and hope that ADE has enough magic left to squeeze shake-awake into this absolutely delightful sight. ADDENDUM: It has occurred to me that ADE could make the NUWA suitable for carry at no additional expense: just make the auto shutoff optional and leave the user with the responsibility to extend battery life by turning the power off when not in use. No brainer way to dramatically increase the utility of this otherwise excellent design. ... show more

Purchased this red dot for an inexpensive TX22 Compact “range toy.” Decided to give ADE one more chance after my last problematic experience with one of their other red dots that worked fine for a few months then started randomly shutting off at the range. Unfortunately, my experience with this red dot wasn’t any better. Pros: 1. Overall build quality seems better than their earlier models. 2. Dot easy to adjust and held zero for one trip to the range. 3. Very compact and lightweight, so no negative impact on the slide cycling. 4. Battery placement is excellent and installation is easier than most. Cons: 1. The single power on/off and adjustment button is in the worst possible location. Every time you rack the slide the button is accidentally depressed and the red dot either shuts off or the brightness changes through the adjustment cycle. 2. The power on/off and adjustment button is not recessed, protected or stiff enough to prevent accidental clicking. Makes for an annoying experience at the range unlike the rest of my five other red dot optics from different manufacturers. 3. The red dot isn’t bright enough for outdoor use in daylight. On full brightness with a fresh name brand battery the dot was barely visible on a bright sunny day at an outdoor range. Honestly with no automatic shutoff and a button that shuts off with the slightest touch, this optic is mostly useful as a range toy if it bright enough. Not getting bright enough to see the dot easily at the range makes it useless in the only practical place to use it in the first place. Lots of quality red dot optic choices at the mid tier price point from other manufacturers. I’m done trying to save money by going with “budget” red dots. ... show more

Seems to be very well made, no plastic. Comes with cover, cleaning cloth, gasket, battery and several screw sizes that already have the blue lock tire applied. Can’t wait to get it mounted and zero it in.

I see a ton of good reviews for ADE, so I assume my problem was a one off. That said I asked for assistance and it was not given beyond a request for more information. After I provided the additional information, I received no response for several days. Overall product quality is great, the glass is clear, and it fit perfectly. It simply would not turn on. I assume I received a factory error. Maybe I'll hear from them about the whole not functioning thing soon. ... show more
