  • Love Love Love! Best Vacuum Robot!
Color: Black01
For the price, you’ll definitely win here. The mop and vacuum ability are great, we have had it for over a month and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I did get a deal from Amazon prime day and took the risk, well it paid off! Cleaning and emptying the bin is easy and I just do it every other day. I have a English Shepherd who sheds like crazy and has very long fur, this thing has no issues, goes off every morning and I wake up with completely clean floors everyday and now vacuuming is no longer an task first thing in the morning. I think it’s pretty quiet for a vacuum also! Here is my mapped area, my dining room had toys from my kids laying on the floor a forgot to pick up last night and you can see where it has told me that it has gone around them. This will update on the app after every run. I love the app, it is so simple and easy to set up with the “auto mapping” feature! 100% recommend! ... show more

  • So far so good!!!
Color: Black01
Have only been using for two days, but so far I am so impressed. Easy set up. Nice packaging. And within a half hour (after having some trouble figuring out how to dock it) i was watching it clean. I just moved into a beach co do -smaller, but on the ocean. I used to use these at old place and they never made sense , nor were they worth all the troubles…. Well this one is not that. No issues so far. Does an amazing job mapping the place (and continues to update as it “sees” more. My old ones just went around aimlessly. This does repeat cleaning- re goes over slots it missed- it is really fun to watch. I call it manny, and now my cat doesn’t associate it with vaccine and is t scared. It keeps my home litter and hair free, which was the main Purpose, and more. Very quiet. Fits under pretty much everything. It is so thorough. The amount of cat hair that came up was amazing! Dodd t know my cat even had that much and I just moved! Able to get over edges easily , and what’s more, it will like balance on the edge and clean the step/drip—regarding going into the bathroom over th “lip” . This was an amazing deal-44% off. I read reviews, did research, and so far it’s all spot on. So happy with this . Going to give it a month before I get tooo excited because these notoriously break , but I’m confident. Battery life is great - for 600 sqft it takes about 30 minutes on deep clean which I have scheduled daily (and do it when I get home). The app is so easy to use. You can skip rooms , re clean etc. the remote is just on phone as an app. Connected to internet very easily. You will have no problems getting this running So fast forward—it’s fantastic!! The mapping is great. Battery awesome. I bought it strictly for taking care of litter , but I have it set every morning and I come home from work and not a piece of litter. I am praying that it’s not like the old ones and dies in a month, but I will update! In meantime this is a great way to go for a budget vacuum. I have yet to use the mop—will let ya know. But this really cleans and the app you can control where and do recleaninf/deep clean/balanced etc. Oh and I call it manny so my cat doesn’t think it’s a vacuum anymore lol he’s confused but not scared ... show more

  • Fatal flaw
Color: White
We have this robot's dock in our kitchen, and off of the kitchen, 12 feet or so to the left of the dock, there is a step down into the family room. Even though the dock has been in the same location since we first unboxed this robot, and the robot knows it has not moved from the dock since it last "went home," the robot does an "establishing location" every time it leaves the dock for a new mission. More than half the time when it does this, it makes a beeline directly towards that family room step, and careens off of it. We've set up "no-go" zones, and an invisible wall, and everything else we can to make it avoid this hazard. As soon as it leaves the dock, it announces "establishing location", and proceeds to launch itself directly over the step. My wife has commented that we don't know why it's lost its will to live, as it certainly seems to attempt to self destruct regularly. I've had to rescue it from the bottom of the step so many times, emptying the dust bin on the cheap robot honestly feels like less work. When it does stop at the top of the step, and realizes it where it is, it announces "invisible wall or no-go zone detected. Please move robot." We'll take the robot back to the dock, restart it, and...there it goes again right off the step. Our other complaint is how buggy the phone app is. Often times we'll have to completely close out of the app and reopen it multiple times to get the control screen of the robot to load, and things like selecting 1 or 2 passes, or the vacuum level, requires you to swipe to a different screen and back to be able to adjust the settings. Modifying the map to add no-go zones, pops a box somewhere far off the screen, requiring you to zoom way out, find it, and carefully drag it to the location you'd like it. If you happen to accidentally tap outside of the box, the box locks, you're no longer able to edit it, so you must delete it and start over again. It's like playing the old Operation board game. The Tuya Smart app that the cheap robot uses always worked flawlessly. You also can't disable its tendency to try to "jump" obstacles. We have a stationary bouncer for our child, with a flanged outer ring on its base. The robot will run up on this ramp and get stuck. It will then back up and Dukes of Hazard itself over the ring into the inner space. Once there, it can't get out, due to the vertical inner edge of the ring, so it cries for help after moving around under the bouncer for 20 minutes, trying to find an exit. I've established no-go zones for this, but we tend to move the bouncer to different areas in the house, depending on what we're doing, so we're left with sections of floor that don't get swept, and a stuck robot. A firmware update to make the robot trust that the dock location, which is saved in the generated map, is valid until proven otherwise when leaving the dock would alleviate 99% of our frustration. The robot knows if it's been picked up or moved. Why it has to establish its location every single time a new "mission" is initiated, when it returns and leaves from a fixed point on the saved map every time makes zero sense. When my wife's frustration leads her to donate this to the local thrift store, we'll be looking at a different manufacturer than roborock. ... show more

  • E4 Works Well with Limitations
Color: Black02
This review is long, but if you’ll take the time to read it, I think you’ll find a lot of useful information about the Roborock E4. It is a good alternative both in price and performance to the random navigation robot vacuums, which just bounce around. Budget robots feature random navigation as do the less expensive models of Shark and Roomba. The E4 uses internal navigation to move around your home leaving straight lines and covering 99% of a room. Cleaning ability on medium pile carpet and tile: 5 stars Battery Life: 5 stars Navigation: 4 stars Customer Support: 5 stars App quality: 0 stars Total score: 3.8 (4) stars Pros: 1) The battery life is amazing. There are few, if any, manufacturers out there that use a 5200mAh battery in their bots. If the E4 manages to make it to every room, it can do our whole home (a little less than 1700 sq. ft.) in a little less than 2 hours on the Balanced mode, which I find to be sufficient. Our home has a lot of medium-pile carpet. I have the carpet mode turned on, so it will increase suction when it detects carpet. If you have a smaller home than I do or don’t have much carpet, I feel reasonably confident that it will be able to clean your whole home. 2) I have long hair, and we have two short-haired dogs. I’ve had the vacuum a week and a half, and it hasn’t had one hair get tangled in the brush. I don’t know how it does it, but it is amazing. 3) As mentioned before, it employs an algorithm that allows it to vacuum a room in mostly up and down lines, which ensures that most areas are cleaned, and the straight lines are pleasing to the eye. (Photo attached) 4) The bot can be controlled by the buttons on the top if desired rather than from the app. 5) The suction is rated at 2000Pa. There are only a few other vacuums out there that have a stronger suction of 2500Pa. It cleans VERY well. 6) The side brush is a silicone brush. It doesn’t have bristles, which I have read can get tangled with hair, so if true, this is an improvement. 7) I’ve had to contact CS through email support several times. Because the headquarters are in China, I would receive a message from them the next day, but they always responded to my emails. I might add that they were extremely helpful in providing solutions to the app issue explained later. 8) We have an entryway threshold that is ¾” high. The E4 will try to go over it sometimes and does get on top of it, so it appears to have good climbing abilities. Cons: I dislike using this word, because this bot is what it is. It’s not a “smart” robot per se, since it doesn’t have cameras or radar (Lidar) and can’t do some of the things that people think it might, but here goes. (And a few are definitely cons…): 1) Because it doesn’t use cameras or radar (Lidar), it is more or less blind. Like I said earlier, it uses internal sensors (gyroscopes and an electric eye) to detect objects, and it does a pretty good job of that. It makes a “map” of your house, but the map is kind of useless, since you can’t set no-go zones or section off/name rooms. You can’t tell it to go clean a certain room for example. And it will miss cleaning some rooms of the house and clean others twice, so... 2) It is supposed to be able to sync with Alexa, which you can use to turn it on or off; that’s my understanding anyway. We use Google Home, and at this time, it is not compatible with it. 3) It’s supposed to clean the internal part of the room first and then clean the perimeter. I have yet to see it do this. It mainly just cleans up and down but does go around most parts of the perimeter while in the room. It will sometimes clean the same path a few times, but I think it’s because it’s trying to decide where to go. 4) This is a big con for us. If the battery gets below 20%, and it doesn’t think it’s done cleaning, the bot will go back to the dock to recharge and then resume cleaning. Because I manually block some areas of our home with dumbbells, pillows, etc. to keep the bot from going there, I need to remove them at some point. With two dogs, they can also get their toys out or drip water on the floor after getting drinks, so I wish there was a way to turn off the charge and resume feature, as I only want the robot to clean when I know it’s safe for it to clean. I have to check my app occasionally to see how much charge is left, and done or not, when there’s about 22% of the battery left, I send it home to dock. It will not resume cleaning if you do this. You can buy a magnetic strip to make no-go zones, but I don’t want those strips all the time in the areas I need to block. 5) Because of connectivity issues, the best place for our dock is in the room with our router, which is a far bedroom. The E4 cannot find the dock many times and wanders around aimlessly looking for it, until the battery reaches 10%, and then it stops where it is and states that it has Error 12. I have to pick it up and set it manually on the dock. The funny thing is, is that it can be near the room with the dock, and when I send it home to dock or it thinks it’s done cleaning, it will turn and go the opposite direction. If I was able to keep the dock in a central area of the home, it might not have this problem. So I now just keep my eye on the battery indicator, and when it reaches 22%, I manually pause the E4 using the power button on top, pick it up, set it in front of the dock, and then hit home. 6) I had an issue with the app two days after I got the E4. The remote function stopped working and then the next day, nothing worked on the app except the battery life indicator. The vacuum settings and voice settings showed strange screens when I selected them. This is when I contacted CS. While in contact with them, I tried all sorts of things...clearing the cache on the app, deleting the app, and reinstalling the app. I finally decided to move the dock into the bedroom where the router is located. I deleted the E4 from the app, and then re-added it. When I did that, all the screens returned to normal, and all the functions worked. Flash forward to two days after I thought I got it fixed. The bot started cleaning using the clean command on the app, but nothing on the app would work after that except the battery indicator. I did everything I did before including deleting the device from the app, but this time, it said there was a wi-fi connection error. WTHeck. Good thing I only need the app to see the battery life (which it does show), because if I needed it for more than that, I would be SOL. The E4 cleans amazingly well, so I am going to keep it, since that’s why I bought it, and I can do everything I need to do from the buttons on the unit. I did contact CS about this again, and through a process on their end, I was able to let them have control of my app to see what the issue is. In the meantime, I was able to get the app working again by sheer luck. Customer service has continued to work with me on this issue, and they get a 5-star rating from me for their continued support. Other Observations: 1) It will sit and spin when it’s deciding where to go so no worries if you see it do that. 2) Spot cleaning works well. But by the time you use the remote control feature on the app to direct it to the spot, you could have gotten a regular vacuum and gotten a mess cleaned up in the time it would take you to start the navigation of the robot. So I find the spot clean feature to be more of a novelty. 3) The remote control feature has a delay in time from when you touch (and briefly hold) the button to when the bot receives the command. 4) Whatever direction your dock is facing is the direction it will clean for the most part. For example, if you have the dock on a north wall facing south, the bot will mainly clean in a north/south direction. So you may have to move your dock to face different directions until you find the best place for it so that it will clean the majority of your home. My final observation is that its best use is to just turn it on and let it run. Forget the spot cleaning, forget about trying to direct it somewhere, and don’t worry if it misses a few areas--it may go back at some point during the cycle and get them or get them the next run. I bought the E4 at the introductory price of $242. I had some Amazon gift cards and reward points that I used, which brought my price down to $157. At the price I paid, it is worth having even if it only lasts a year--that’s $3 a week to have clean floors. And if it lasts longer than that? Great! Other budget vacuums in this price range or a little cheaper have half the battery size and vacuum in a random pattern, so those are big turn offs for me. (Eufy or Coredy seem to be the best budget random pattern vacuums according to Vacuum Wars on YouTube and according to the reviews.) So for right now, the Roborock E4 is the best one out there for what I’m willing to spend. ... show more

Color: Black03
Does the job and easy to set up. This replaced a robot vacuum I returned because it would get stuck under furniture. This robot has never been stuck, it’s smart enough to avoid getting trapped. Easy map making and I set up no - go areas I want it to avoid. I like that when vacuuming the bedrooms it vacuums under the beds with ease. It tells me what it’s doing and automatically returns to the dock to empty the dust bin. No complaints it works great. ... show more

  • 5 years and 8 months old daily use STILL GOING STRONG! GET ONE! (they still sell them on Ebay!)
Color: Black02
Update 7.23.2026 - i bought this Nov. 30 2020 so it's nearly 6 years old now and still 5 stars! keeping up with a lot of dogs, and people with dirty boots. I thought the main brush motor gave out but turns out just the tip of the brush was gunked up so it wasn't spinning, motor is fine. You can still find a few of these brand new on Ebay and I recommend you get one. I just bought a used one to have on hand for future spare parts. I won't lie, we're hard on it, it's been dropped, kicked, mistreated and still cleans like a son of a gun. Can't speak for other models but this one just doesn't stop! Only replaced brushes and filters over 6 years. Update almost 3 years later, purchased Nov. 30, 2020, today is August 20, 2023. The Roborock E4 is still going strong running daily on high, for a total of 849 hours so far and 387,000 square feet cleaned. I didn't double check his math but my son says that came out to 73 square miles, and maybe so! We did do a factory-reset today because she was getting a little lazy, but it ran like a bat out of Hello again after the reset. I hope they keep making this model, if this one ever dies it's definitely the one I'd want to buy again. Tons of dogs, tons of dog hair, muddy shoes and messes and we're not very kind to her, she's been dropped and kicked a lot over the years. Roborock Company, if you're listening, keep making the E4~~~!!!!! EDIT AFTER 6 OR 7 WEEKS OF USE: I still love this vacuum; as my Great Pyranees and German Shepherd start to shed their winter under coat however, she clogs often. It's not her fault (the vacuum), it's just a schit-ton of hair and clumps. That said, it is still so easy to remove the brush and clean it out, unlike standard vacuum brushes. I really love that you can clean out the brush with no tools needed. Just pop it out, take the hair off of it, and pop it back in. Been using this every day for a week now. 1100 sq ft home with laminate floors, two kids in and out all day in rural America (no side walks just grass and diry/mud) with dirty feet, three very large, very hairy dogs, and two cats and the pets also in and out all day tracking in dirt when they're not just dropping their hair every where all day long. This will sound like a paid review but it's not. We have been using a $1200 Hyla water vacuum for the past several years and while the Hyla has it's many positive features, it's also a huge, heavy, messy pain in the butt to use - therefore we did not use it as much as we should. Even when we did, the very next day we would have what looked like snow drifts of dog hair in all the corners, under the furniture, every where. It was a constant battle we lost on a daily basis. There was this love-hate relationship with the pets because their hair was EVERY WHERE and so gross no matter what we did! For this reason I was skeptical about the Robo-Vac, I just didn't think it could handle the work load. My teen boy did research on robo vacs for a year trying to talk me in to getting one because the boys are in charge of vacuuming and hated the Hyla. The one he recommended finally went on sale so I got it as a family Christmas present. WOW. I love this thing! We named her Rhonda. Rhonda not only keeps up with the work load, she doesn't clog with dog hair the way the Hyla's hose did. That hose would clog several times per cleaning, any little old bread tie wire, wad of hair, little scrap of candy wrapper - clog. Thirty minutes taking it apart and cramming coat hangers down it's throat to clear it. Rhonda doesn't clog. There is no hose to clog. The suction is amazing. We have found an entire dryer sheet and a key chain in her dust bin that she sucked right up with no trouble. She did pick up a rock yesterday and gave us the error message to remove the rock (what the heck is a rock doing in my house? who knows). She also goes under the sofa, chairs, tight corners, under the book cases, right up against the walls, every where the Hyla either didn't fit or was such a bulky pain to use we didn't sweep regularly. Because we put down these laminate floors last year, we put felt pads on the bottom of all our table and chair legs so they wouldn't scratch up the floor. Ever seen what mass amounts of dog hair does to felt pads? Every table and chair leg had a mass amount of hair stuck to them, looked disgusting, everything had dirty furry feet! The Hyla could not get this off. Enter Rhonda! Rhonda has those rotating fingers that scrub up against everything, she pulled all that mass of stuck hair off her first run and has continued to keep it clean since then. Another problem was kids and couch blankets, or any blanket. Blankets end up on the floor, covered in dog hair. No more! Last night watching TV I noticed my boy wrapped in a blanket that was no longer covered in dog hair! Because they love her so much, they also keep their shoes and socket and stuff up off the floor so she can clean. Rhonda wakes up every day at 8am and starts cleaning. It takes her about an hour to do the entire house, bedrooms, pantry, laundry, both bathrooms - all those places the kids and the Hyla generally ignored. Usually we empty her dust bin twice. Because it's so fun and easy to use, sometimes we run her a 2nd time during the day. The noise level isn't bad at all. She gets on the throw rugs by each door awesome, they are cleaner than ever. It is so amazing that I don't have snow drifts in the corners, or wads of hair on my socks. These dogs are Great Pyrenees and German Shepherds - nothing but hair, all day long, hair hair hair! Not anymore! Yesterday we washed the filter. It takes much longer to dry than they say, so I should by a 2nd filter to use. We cannot sweep this morning due to the filter still damp, and Rhonda told me this with an error message that her filter was wet. I can't say enough about this robo vac, I love it love it love it. It's not a gimick tech toy, it's a hard working floor cleaning machine. ... show more

  • navigation is good, cleaning of hard flooring is simply not up to my standards
Color: Black
UPDATE 06/06/2020 I am upgrading my previous review from 1 star to 3 stars, to give credit to the customer support team. Although I emailed with several different people and it took a while, I believe that they tried very hard to resolve the issues that I had with the machine, which I really appreciate. If you are having trouble with your vacuum I would recommend that you persist in talking to them. I don't think that the first layer of support knows much about the product although they can help if you are unfamiliar with tech. However, when I persisted, they invited other team members to assist, and finally escalated the problem until I was able to get a resolution. In my case, I agreed to try a replacement unit to see if it would meet my expectations. Sadly, the final resolution was to return the product for a refund, which the company graciously gave me despite the Amazon return window having closed during the support and resolution process. I also want to update a couple of the cons about the robot. 1. Navigation improved when I turned the robot off and on again. I had to do this several times. I probably just had a bad firmware that wouldn't be fixed without a full factory reset, which they presumably will do before selling as a refurbished model. I was not able to do it; once the firmware was installed, that was it, as far as I could tell. But in any case, the robot did execute its rectangular zig-zag route without getting lost or stuck as it was supposed to do at least for a while. 2. Also improved by turning off and on again, was the robot's following up on its promise to resume the task after recharging itself. 3. Regarding cleaning ability: I don't think that my standards are unreasonably high. My standards are set by what I can quickly do with a broom, and by what my iLife vs3-pro can do. It's true that I do have only hard floors, however, and we never wear shoes in the house, only socks or bare feet. So ANY dust that remains on the floor is quite obvious to us. Before purchasing my first robot, I kept dust cloths in strategic spots around the perimeter of the room to catch fluff that drifted there. Once a week I would sweep with a broom and launder all the cloths. Once every two or three weeks I would damp mop with water and isopropyl alcohol. I didn't expect much from a robot, but I thought it would be better than nothing and that I could clean less frequently. The iLife so far exceeded my expectations that I expected any robot that I paid a lot more for, to be a lot better. The iLife literally leaves the floors squeaky clean, so clean that damp mopping has become unnecessary unless we spill something. The problem for me is that although the Roborock S5 navigation is much more impressive than the iLife's blind bump-and-run procedure, for some reason it just can't get the dust off the floor. I think it's possible that if you have carpet everywhere, this robot will be good enough for you. It WILL pick up big debris (including rabbit droppings, long human hair, and hay). Then whenever the buildup of fine dust starts to bother you, you can either deep clean with a strong upright vacuum or call a cleaning company. Good enough? Parts of my original review remain valid, however. They are edited, below. +++++++++++++++++++++++++ This robot picks up large particles, like rabbit turds and little bits of paper, and some but not all of the human and rabbit hair. It picks up some of the lint from clothing. You can see this in the dust bin. HOWEVER, it does NOT pick up fine dust. In fact, it somehow manages to find fine dust in (in corners? under baseboards?), then redistribute that fine dust quite evenly all over the floors, so that when I walk across the tile in my bare feet I can feel the dust sticking to my feet. The entire point of getting a robot vacuum was so that the floors would be clean enough that I never had to feel that, but that I was not the one to do the labor. In fact, I tried to "upgrade" from the iLife vs3pro in order to get perfect coverage as well as wet-mopping. I didn't care at all about the lidar feature--if it randomly navigated, but REALLY CLEANED, I would have been happy. But, incredibly, even when I first vacuum the whole house, then attached the water tank and mop, THE FLOORS ARE STILL DUSTY! Except now the dust has been dampened so that it sticks even better to the floors. BOOO! That's really bad. By comparison: I was curious just how clean my iLife vs3pro was able to get the floors. So one day I ran the vacuum for a 90 minute run. Then I used a damp mop to pick up whatever was left. Guess what was left? NOTHING. You know how when you damp-mop a floor there is at least a thin gray line at the front edge of the cloth, indicating that there was a little dust on the floor even if you hadn't seen or felt it? There was no line. In fact, the iLife was not just picking up dust. It was peeling fruit labels off the floor with its whiskers, and scraping the residue of kitchen spills off the tile with its whiskers (it doesn't have a central roller brush). Since I got all that for $100, I thought surely I could save myself the bother of ever mopping again by buying a machine with a built-in mop for 4 times the price. Nope. PRO's: The dust bin and the filters are all washable. This is such an important feature to me that I rejected many models out of hand because some or all of the collection parts were not washable. I like the back-and-forth path that the robot takes. I'm not sure that the lines are close enough together, however. The robot is excellent at negotiating its way over thick yoga mats and high transition strips (I measured mine at a little more than half an inch). The robot USUALLY can figure out what to do about a curtain that sweeps the floor, or a piece of clothing left on a pile. Other robots I've tried, including my beloved iLife vs3pro, almost 100% of the time are stopped in their tracks. Sunlight does not bother the robot. I tried 3 robots in addition to the iLife vs3pro, and all of them were confounded by the patches of sunlight on the floor. I have a lot of windows. Those robots all were quickly returned, as it is as much work to run around closing and reopening blinds in my house as it would be to just sweep the floors by hand. Sure, the app is fun. But I don't want that kind of learning curve or that much work just to hook up with my robot. I prefer a remote plus buttons ON the machine. If I encounter the robot stuck in the bedroom, but my phone is outside on the picnic table, I can't look up the problem or address it without running around looking for my phone. I also don't like the fact that this robot wanted access to my photos and email (WHY?), while toodling around my whole house, then beaming all the data back to who knows where. I had thought it was possible to run the machine without connecting to wifi. It is not. CONS's It, um, doesn't clean the floors. I'd say that's the biggest con. Yes, the large junk is gone, but there is so much fine dust on the floors that I swear it's like the machine is putting out the dust itself. The navigation works sometimes, but not all the time. Actually it worked much better when I got the machine. I can't control what the robot does. Sometimes I like to run the iLife vs3pro only around the edges of the house and be done with it. I can't do that with this robot. It decides what pattern it will take, where it starts, and where it ends, period. If I pick the robot up, it's lost. As long as my rubber mats are parallel with the walls and therefore with its path, it works with them pretty well, much better than my iLife vs3pro. However, the ones that are placed diagonally in the room tend to confound it. After the third firmware update, suddenly the app slowed to a crawl. I was not able to get realtime updates on the robot's progress. In addition, the map was often corrupted. DESIGN: I can think of no reason whatsoever that the edges of the machine need to be so tall. They don't fit under any of my kitchen cabinets and shelves (all the other robots did). That means that the consistently dirtiest part of any room--the edge--will not be touched by this robot if there is any built-in cabinetry. I have to clean all those by hand. If there is a compelling reason for the machine to be so tall, then THE WHISKERS NEED TO BE LONGER. OMG, the music. Please, please, for the love of god, don't make me listen to a cutesy little earworm of a melody when the machine turns on! Even when I turn the sound to zero, if I have to start the machine using the button instead of the app, or if I have to power down and restart, the music blares at top volume. I asked about this before purchasing, but Amazon customers either didn't notice, didn't remember, or didn't mind the music, and some claimed that it could be turned off. THE MUSIC CANNOT BE TURNED OFF. ... show more

  • Just Buy it, Don't Think About it
Color: White02
Don't do what I did: I've had this in my cart for close to 6 months and finally pulled the trigger last week. I should have just hit "buy now" the first time I saw it and read the reviews. I have LVP floors on the entire downstairs of my home and dogs, so I was tired of having to sweep nearly everyday and mop a few times a week—spending 45-minutes to do that to end my day is the last thing I want to do. This little robot saves me from that headache. The space I have the vacuum in is a relatively open space of about 1,000 square feet, and it navigates my rugs, barstools, chairs, and any dog toys that have made their way out of their bin with no issue. My last robot vacuum was a Roomba, and it eventually died because it couldn't stop getting itself stuck under my coffee table (mind you, it had to force itself under the table to begin with). I've actually watched it pretty much put itself into 4-wheel drive to go over the dogs water bowl mat. It does bump into things, mostly just in tight areas, but it's so soft, I doubt it will ever knock anything over. I have mine set up to be pretty methodical when cleaning so it covers the entire space well without missing anything. It takes about an hour and half to complete and so far I've emptied the bin and refilled the water after 2 days. My assumption is that it will tell me when it's full/out of water, but I haven't let that happen. In hindsight, I probably should have gotten one of roborock's vacuums that self empties, but if it saves me a couple hundred dollars and a few days of sweeping, I can handle taking a few minutes to empty the bin and add water. My ONLY complaint (if I can even call it a complaint) is that the instructions can be a little unclear for set up, so you really have to sit down to read and reference the separate image card. I was surprised that there's no set up guide on the app once you download it (one of the first steps). Even then, set up is still pretty easy. After about 10 minutes or so, I was ready to have it map my house. I think it took maybe 15 minutes and it wasn't completely accurate, but after a couple of days running, it's got it down 100%. ... show more
