I have just finished installation of our awning. It looks well constructed, fabric is sturdy, and it looks nice. Installation: you will need all metric wrenches and drill bits. Installation manual is not detailed enough. Fortunately there is a decent installation video on YouTube (not that one on Amazon). Concrete/masonry anchors (for attaching whole thing to the wall) do not inspire too much confidence. In retrospect I would use Tapcon concrete/masonry screws (properly sized) instead.

I'm 76 years old and originally thought I couldn't do it with only the help of my wife. Was I ever wrong. Once up and adjusted, it's awesome. Sure beats the $4,000 ones that companies want to charge. The awning is solid and looks like it's made to last. The instructions leave something to be desired. If you buy these awnings, I strongly recommend that you scan them to PDF and print them magnified or use a tablet where you can zoom in. It did take me a few days to assemble the awning before we were ready to put it up ... but hey, I'm old. Anyway, great product and I can highly recommend it. Good luck :)

Brought new from Amazon on June-2022 and wanted to install before it gets too hot. To start with, the product quality is really really cheap. The assembly instructions were literally translated from Chinese to English and its horrible to understand. The manufacturer should have added disclaimer that installers should know engineering to assemble. In instructions book, they manufacturer said, assembly video available at request and when I tried reaching to AOSOM, the customer service responded their platform doesn’t support video and no assistance was provided. There is no label on parts which goes front and what facing it should be. Worst part is the fabric was torn when inserting into the front rod, because the ends were sharp. Definitely not worth unless you have more time to assemble back and forth and communicate with customer service for broken parts. Very cheap design. Poor customer service. Worst installation manual ever seen.

Holy Banana Buckets! I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, but this assemble had me questioning the validity of all my educational endeavors. Now, I wasn’t expecting a “ready-to-go” product to arrive, especially given the price, but I spent about 7 hours trying to just put together the unit, not including the installation. After putting together, taking apart, putting back together, and two adult beverages, I finally got it all assembled. In short, the instructions were not clear and lacked some much needed visuals. I won’t go to much into the instillation because everyone setup will be a bit different. We had to take down some siding and install a few supporting boards before mounting the brackets. Outside of the prep work, the instillation and hand was relatively easy. Definitely need two people to put it up. We’ve had it hanging for about two months, making sure to pull it in when weather is not favorable, and it’s been a lifesaver in the sunny state of Colorado. Overall, the price is right and it looks great and works great when it up. If you normally don’t do well at the assemble phases, call in for reinforcements on this one!

For $200 how good could this awning really be? I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. It arrived two days earlier than scheduled. As others have said, the directions leave a lot to be desired and labeling the parts, especially the arm units, individually would help eliminate confusion during assembly. It took two tries to get the arms oriented correctly but the construction of the awning is very robust. I was missing two very minor trim pieces and emailed customer service. I had a response within a couple of hours saying that the parts were being shipped. I’m interested in how durable the cloth covering will be, but if replacement coverings are sold it should be a fairly easy replacement if necessary. Overall I’m very satisfied both with the item and the customer service.

I read the reviews and was a bit intimidated by the fact that many people had trouble following the instructions, due to poor english translations and picture quality. After I ordered, I went through buyers remorse and was very worried that I was making a huge mistake. I was pleasantly surprised to learn upon opening that the instructions had been rewritten. My husband and I had no confusion putting the awning together. We were able to do the whole thing in just under 2 hours. The quality seems good, but I've never had an awning, so I really don't have anything to compare it to. Seems like it would hold up for at least a few years, and for the price, when that time comes, I would order again.
