Beautiful, Sturdy, and Great Value
Color: Seaglass Size: Offset
This umbrella exceeded my expectations. It was easy to assemble, feels sturdy, and provides excellent shade. The solar LED lights create a nice atmosphere in the evening and last for several hours. The seaglass color looks beautiful in my backyard and adds a modern touch. Overall, it’s a great value and I’m very happy with this purchase. ... show more

After 2 years it's still going strong
Color: Fog Gray Size: Offset
I got one of these in July of 2024 after rebuilding my deck and needing some shade. Shopped around and found this one for a decent price. I honestly only expected this to last for 1 season due to the cheap price. I've been very happily surprised by how well this has held up. I do store the umbrella part inside during the winters. We live in the Midwest so the summers are hot and humid and the winters are very cold so we don't use it in the winter. This is going on the 3rd summer that we've been using it and it's not let us down. We crank it down almost every night and haven't had 1 problem with the crank being defective or broken. The only thing I can complain about is the velcro strap that keeps the umbrella closed had worn out. We now use a bungee strap to keep it closed. I will say that when it's up and the wind is blowing it does move around a bit. I do wish it was more stable in that regard, but like everyone has said, "you get what you pay for". I don't expect this to last forever, and when it does finally give out, I'll probably look at replacing it with another one just like it. ... show more

Great Outdoor Solar Umbrella
This is probably the best item that I have purchased from Amazon in a while. I did a lot of research before I purchased this umbrella because I don’t like to waste money and haven’t been too pleased with Amazon and my other recent purchases. The price was reasonable and so far the quality has been really good. Pay attention to the reviews and utilize the tips that folks share. For example YOU MUST BUY A WEIGHTED BASE. This umbrella will not stand up in its own. I bought a weighted base from the same company BCP, purchased 4 bags of the the “Play Sand” used for children sand boxes from Home Depot and a funnel. You will have a little sand left over which is fine and the funnel is a must to help shorten the time it takes to fill each square weighted base section. Make sure that you know exactly where you want the bases to go BEFORE you put the sand in because once they are filled will sand they are at least 50 pounds and are very heavy to move. Once you get the weighted base in position put the umbrella together and position the weighted base around the base of the umbrella adding the silver anchors to the base and you are done! I e left the umbrella open for several hours during the day to enjoy our deck at night and it was beautiful! We keep and eye on the weather and close the umbrella during windy days etc. One thing to note is that our order for the umbrella and the base came in two shipments about a day or so apart but only one tracking number was provided for both items and no indication was given that the order would be shipped separately by two different carriers. I called Amazon but they were no help. I called the BCP customer support line and the customer service team was awesome! They gave me the other tracking number and I was able to confirm the order would actually be delivered that same day. I was very glad to get both items in time. ... show more

You get what you pay for...this is a waste of $100.
Color: Sky Blue Size: Offset
When I was looking for a cantilever umbrella for my pool, I saw a lot of them selling in the $300 and up range. Being a bargain hunter, I decided to keep looking and came across this umbrella. Reviews were just below 4 stars at the time, and the price was great, so I took a chance. Let me begin by saying I live in Oklahoma. Wind is pretty much a given on most days. We consider 10 mph to be calm. More on this later. Set up of the stand was fairly simple. Now for each failure point: Base post washer Right off the bat, I notice that the base vertical pipe that the umbrella stand slides into has a cheap plastic washer meant to hold some pins in place so the umbrella won't shear in the wind. Without this piece of plastic, the pole can rotate the full width of the pin in both horizontal directions. The washer is broke. It will stay in place, but it does not lock in the pins now. I figure it's not a huge deal and move on. I finish setting up the base, adding base weights, erect the umbrella into the stand, and start to crank it open. Umbrella Rib Spoke and Stopper While I was looking at the crank, apparently a piece of plastic drops out of the umbrella and is floating in my pool. The umbrella is "deployed" with a crank that winds a cable (more like string) that runs through the umbrella down through the spoke that connects all the ribs, to a cheap plastic stopper that is meant to slide into the spoke. The higher the spoke is pulled, the more the umbrella deploys. This stopper had a thin lip circumventing it that was the only thing keeping it from pulling through the spoke. Half of that lip had broken off (I didn't realize it at the time as it was flush with the spoke. The next day, we deploy the umbrella with winds around 10 mph, and the whole thing is flailing around like we're in a typhoon. Suddenly, there's a pop, and the umbrella collapses. The rest of the lip had given way. Being handy and not wanting to deal with returning a giant umbrella, I cobble together a fix using chain clip that prevents the stopper from pulling through the spoke. Looks janky, but still better than processing a return. Cantilever Arm Sleeve If you look in the photo, you'll notice a crank that attaches to a 45 degree angled arm that attaches to the main pole. This arm is locked into place when extended by a - wait for it - cheap plastic sleeve. On the third use of the umbrella, again in low winds, the sleeve split length-wise, so the arm won't lock in place. Queue me grabbing my bag of 3/8" wide zip ties. After "bandaging" the sleeve with five of those suckers, the sleeve is functional, and my umbrella is starting to look like something out of a Dr. Suess book. So we have three failures of parts, all involving plastic in spots that really should have been, at the very least, aluminum. Now I'm getting nervous while I'm watching the 10 mph wind whip this thing around, because the whole thing is shearing at the top where the main umbrella arm is attached to the top of the pole, and - surprise - that whole assembly is made of more of that crappy plastic. Oh, and so is the crank housing and most of the assembly that the umbrella hangs from at the end of the main arm. At this point, I've resigned myself to the fact that the only time I'll be able to use this is if either a) it's dead calm or b) I move it indoors. Will likely have to box the sucker up and send it back...which is sad, considering I gave it multiple chances. Pros: At least the solar-powered LED lights work. Cons: absolutely cheap plastic parts used in high stress areas of the pole and cranking mechanism. Whole thing thrashes about in a slight breeze, and would be in the next county if an actual gust of wind blew up. Conclusion: avoid this like the plague. Spend the extra $200 and buy some piece of mind. ... show more

Wonderful umbrella
Wonderful umbrella. Covers well and give good shade. The only drawback is the provided umbrella stand. It is garbage I had to purchase a better well made durable umbrella stand for this unit. If you purchase this umbrella just be aware you will need to purchase a better stand to hold it up.

Solid Shade, Questionable Durability & Mixed Support
Color: Ivory Size: Offset
The umbrella looks nice, sets up easily, and provides plenty of shade. The solar lights are mostly decorative - nice ambience, but nowhere near bright enough to light a table. After only 10–15 uses, the crank stopped lifting the canopy. A quick peek inside revealed the lifting rope had already snapped, turning a useful patio fixture into a $100+ lawn ornament. What happened next: - Manufacturer support: Best Choice Products offered little more than a canned apology and a 10 % coupon. No real troubleshooting help. - Amazon support: First rep filed an A-to-Z claim and promised a refund in 3-5 days, insisting my “money is safe with Amazon.” A second rep later reversed course, said the claim was denied, and no refund is coming. So I’m stuck with a non functional umbrella. If you’re handy and willing to replace a broken rope yourself, the umbrella works fine once fixed, but be ready for minimal help if something fails. Bottom line: Nice while it works, but questionable longevity and inconsistent customer-service experience knock this down to three stars. ... show more

This is a great umbrella but....
As others have reviewed, there is a piece on this umbrella that broke. However, it is an easy fix. The plastic part that slides that holds the umbrella up split. There is a screw at the elbow that can easily be removed. Get a piece of pvc that will fit over the plastic piece. It works great. I also contacted Best Choice regarding this issue and sent them a picture so they knew what piece I was talking about. They offered to refund it or replace IF I boxed and returned the umbrella. I didn't have the box anymore so I went back and forth arguing that I would return it when I received the replacement. I finally gave up, figured out how to fix it and then let them know I fixed it and never mind. Then I received a message saying that they will refund or replace and I didn't have to return the one that was broken. I now have 2 umbrellas!! My suggestion is to get a piece of PVC and put it over the plastic piece that holds up the umbrella BEFORE if breaks. It is easy. You will be happy. I do hope that Best Choice will change that piece in the future. Even if they don't fix the piece it is worth the money. Update received the replacement the part that broke on the first one was missing. They still say they cant send the part. The pvc does work but not as well without the part. Not sure i would buy from them again. ... show more
