This umbrella was easy to set up and looks great with our patio table and chairs. We can tilt it to block the sun from any direction and the 9' size gives plenty of shade. The only thing that I found odd about this product was the arrows on the crank indicating "up and down" are backwards. This is not a problem because the crank works fine for raising and lowering the umbrella. You just have to ignore the arrows. Very pleased with this beautiful umbrella! Sturdy and well made. Easy to assemble. Drop the bottom pole through the middle hole in your patio table with the silver bump on the pole toward the top of this part of the pole facing you above the table. Lift the unfolded umbrella and slide that piece on top of the pole inserted in your table until the top pole slides over the little bump on the lower pole which locks the two parts of the pole in place. The bump needs to pop out of the hole in the top section. Rotate the umbrella until you can easily reach to turn the crank and open the umbrella. Crank it down when not in use. There is a tie to help keep it closed. I love the weight which is light enough for an over 60 age woman to lift alone but high quality. It worked really well and the tan color is handsome. I’ve had lots of umbrellas but like this one most. Highly recommend! ... show more

I bought this 9 foot umbrella for the price. I needed a decent sun fade resistant umbrella for decent price for part of my patio redo. My caveat on this purchase I was planning to buy solar lights and an umbrella cover for it from another site because even with those purchases it was still less expensive than Amazon 9 foot umbrella with lights. I still doubt how sun fade resistant it is by previous purchases of umbrellas from amazon, but I planned to cover this with a sun fade umbrella bag when not in use. It does come with umbrella bag, but it is clear and cheap. Overall for the price along with my caveats, its stilla pretty good deal compared to Walmart entry level 7.5 foot umbrella. Needed one for the deck..this is perfect! The blue is so gorgeous, makes it feel like we’re in a resort! Please note base doesn’t come with it! I thought it did because pictures have it, but my husband read the details! We got the base that showed up in Amazon suggestions and that works great. Heavy duty. I did see a little left with wind, so may get a rope tether to tie it to nearby pillar just Incase. We fold it at night and reopen in morning. Blocks direct sun and crests perfect shade!
