The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Tesla Mobile Connector for the last five years since I already have a charger installed, and upgrading to a full wall charger just isn’t cost-effective for me. For the amount of driving I do, it wasn’t something I needed to rush into. That said, I had been getting occasional charging interruption messages, which was frustrating and hard to pin down. Since switching to this Ecotome NEMA 5-15 adapter, I haven’t had a single error message …knock on wood. The adapter feels solid, connects securely, and has been completely reliable so far. If you’re using the Mobile Connector and dealing with random interruptions, this is an inexpensive fix that actually works. Very glad I gave it a try.

There are EV haters out there who get weird seeing vehicles charging in public spaces. I've heard of vehicles getting unplugged to outright vandalism. Just in case someone decides to walk off with my adapter, I decided to order a backup. This does the job and appears near identical to OEM (just about a centimeter shorter). There is no discernable difference in charge rate. The only issue is that it's nearly the same price as the one from Tesla so I don't see the value proposition for this product.
