As somebody who has used the brand name version of this device I can say it works exactly the same for a tenth of the price. The writing speed and comfort of the device is also similar to the brand name version it’s light weight and easy to hold. Additionally there is no pairing necessary you turn it on and it works perfectly! The only thing I would say is if you are an artist or someone that does more than take notes and color this pencil may not be the solution for you as it has less customization and dies quicker. The charging is much more convenient than the name brand Pencil 1st gen as well however it lacks the charging ability as seen in the 2nd gen. Bought it thinking it was an affordable option compared to name brand. Got to use it all of 2 weeks and it overheated in my hand, and is no longer recognizable as a Bluetooth device. Charges fast, but pretty useless if you can’t get it to connect or hold it without it burning your hand. Wasn’t dropped or treated roughly once. Was kept in the case my brand new iPad is in.
