  • My Bluetooth Rechargeable OTC Hearing Aids
The Medline Bluetooth Rechargeable OTC Hearing Aids offer an innovative solution for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss, combining modern technology with user-friendly features. Here’s a comprehensive evaluation of their performance, design, and overall value. Design and Comfort These in-the-ear hearing aids are ergonomically designed for comfort and a discreet fit. The lightweight construction ensures they can be worn for extended periods without discomfort. The choice of various earbud sizes helps users achieve a secure and comfortable fit, crucial for effective sound delivery. Technology and Features One of the standout features of these hearing aids is their Bluetooth connectivity, allowing seamless pairing with smartphones and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. This functionality enhances user experience by enabling hands-free calls and streaming audio directly into the hearing aids. The hearing aids also come with four environmental settings, which adapt to different sound environments—such as quiet rooms, noisy environments, and outdoor settings—providing tailored sound amplification as needed. This adaptability is essential for users who frequently transition between different acoustic environments. Performance The noise reduction feature is effective in minimizing background sounds, enhancing the clarity of conversations and important sounds. Users report significant improvements in speech intelligibility, even in challenging settings. With adjustable volume controls, users can easily modify sound levels to suit their preferences, ensuring comfort and clarity across various listening situations. The range from mild to moderate hearing loss makes these aids a versatile choice for many users. Rechargeability and Durability The rechargeable battery is a significant advantage, eliminating the hassle of frequent battery replacements. A full charge lasts throughout the day, making them convenient for daily use. Additionally, their water-resistant design adds a layer of durability, protecting against moisture and spills, which is particularly beneficial for active users. Value for Money Given their advanced features, including Bluetooth connectivity, customizable settings, and rechargeability, the Medline hearing aids provide excellent value for the price point. They are competitively priced compared to other over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers. ... show more

  • The sound quality is poor and the return takes time...
I have been wearing hearing aids for a couple of years, but when they quit working i thought i would go with a lower budget option. I did not like these for a couple reasons. The sound quality was poor and with no app - the adjustment options are VERY limited. I didn't find any of the settings to be of better quality - just loud or louder. The size of these things make them very easy to knock out of your ear if you wear glasses or are active at all. And finally - the return policy is TERRIBLE. I returned these to the UPS store a while ago - but Medline does not function like other Amazon Prime type dealers... they don't credit your account until they physically get the product back to their warehouse. Every other company I have ever dealt with - returns your credit as soon as you drop your box off at UPS. Not sure what a big company like Medline needs to wait for when small time dealers seems to be quick to return your credit. I am sure the credit will come some day - just seems to be taking a LONG time as UPS is backed up for the Holidays. Live and learn - I bought some better quality options and it is worth the money as i am young and active still - so hearing is essential. ... show more

  • Not a bad option but doesn't compare to audiologist prescribed hearing aids!
We ordered the MEDLINE Bluetooth hearing aids as a backup while my husband waited for his new hearing aids from the VA. Unfortunately, the MEDLINE hearing aids not only enhanced the general sound but also my husband's voice. Of course, he did not like hearing himself. The hearing aids also had a 'tin-can' quality sound, even in music Bluetooth mode. Since then, my husband has been able to use and compare these hearing aids to his past hearing aids & current VA hearing aids, which did not give him the same issues listed above. The shape of the case, while nice for storing in your pocket, does lend itself to being slippery. As far as over-the-counter hearing aids go, these are probably one of the better brands to try. Another positive is that they look like music earbuds for those self-conscious about wearing hearing aids. Having had experience with my husband and children needing hearing aids, it bothers me that medical care in the US means people have to resort to over-the-counter methods. Your best bet of course is going to be custom-fitted hearing aids tuned into your hearing loss. With that said, I appreciate that MEDLINE offers this option, but hopefully, with this price point there can be further enhancements made in newer models. ... show more

  • There are better choices out there
I was disappointed in these hearing aids as their verbal acuity were only slightly better than much cheaper hearing amplifiers. This was especially noticeable in crowds or restaurants where too much background noise was also amplified. I also found that incoming notification tones from my phone dampened the hearing aid for too many seconds before restoring my listening. The fidelity of music programming on Bluetooth was also mediocre. I should have/would have sent them back as they are quite expensive for OTC hearing aids but I missed the window. I’ve found the OTC Apple AirPods Pro give a much better individually tailored hearing aid experience the these Medline Aids while providing a far superior music listening mode at a $100 less! ... show more
