Set up was super easy. A small plastic part that wasn't necessary for function was cracked, but a replacement was sent quickly. I had been a gym member for years but with the pandemic, after six months of not working out I decided I needed a home gym. I splurged on a NordicTrack Fusion CST, but I wanted an alternative workout to keep things interesting. The water rower feels really natural. I enjoy setting a tablet up in front of it (it does not have a tablet stand or anything, you'll need to supply that) and play rowing videos from YouTube so it looks like I'm rowing on a river .... hey, whatever it takes to motivate. For this price point it's a sturdy, functional rower. It comes with everything you need, including siphon and funnel and water purification tablets.     • Great exercise rower machine
I’m absolutely in love with this rower. I’m new to the rowing machine experience. I decided to try this one, because I’m recovering from rotator cuff surgery and with some impairment in the opposite shoulder with some freezing. I’m Always avoiding exercises over the shoulder and decided to try rowing, specifically “water rower”And It’s excellent, my shoulder is getting better… I’m not a doctor, but it has worked for me.     • Meets my needs but will it meet yours?
I am writing from a position of ignorance about rowing machines in general. I find that this one more than meets my needs but speculate that it might not meet yours. It was easy to set up the main machine and I skipped setting up the screen because it told me all I wanted to know: how many strokes, how long in minutes/seconds, how fast I was covering 500m. The water tank did not leak. I can stand the device on the tank end to save space. Once I reached 300 strokes, I concentrated on lowering my time. My concern for you is mainly about resistance level. I filled the tank to something over half full. Later I noticed the 6 resistance levels marked near the top of the lower half. I siphoned out water till I reached the highest (level 6). I did not notice any marked change in difficulty. However I did find a bungee cord that controlled the resistance to the strap that held the crossbar and stretching the cord to the furthest hook did increase resistance. Then I realized that the seat was not connected to anything but the slider bar. All the resistance comes through the strap that connects the crossbar to the water wheel. In my ignorance of rowing machines in general, I do not know if other machines connect the seat to the resistance. If they do, then they can probably provide more resistance than this one does. But as I said above, it works well for me. I get more workout by increasing strokes, distance I lean back, and frequency. Overall I would recommend this product. Almost forgot, I thought the price was very good compared to other water rowers. ... show more

    • Excellent, just what I wanted
I did a lot of research on rowing machines, settled on a water rower, and then decided I wasn't willing to spend the extra $200 for the attractiveness of a wood frame. This one was about $100 less than most of the others I looked at, but it was securely packaged, assembled easily, feels very solid, rows smoothly, has a tight water seal, displays the stats I care about, and stores upright easily. It's exactly what I was hoping it would be, and I don't see any trade-offs in quality that would account for the lower price. It includes a funnel, pump, and small bottle of water treatment tablets, which I did not see in the description. The two tools you need to assemble it are included, and the directions are very clear and specific. Very pleased. ... show more

    • Solid Rowing Machine
We've owned the rowing machine for about a year now and it has been a good purchase. Looking it over it's pretty solidly constructed I think with time the the elastic bands will break down but they should be easily replaceable. It hasn't leaked at all and it stands up nicely when needed. Since it's a water rower you determine how intense of a workout you get. If you speed up your rowing it gets considerably more intense, however don't expect to build big muscle this is a cardio machine. I like that I can just go slow and relaxing row similar to going for a walk or a I can go as fast as I can and get my heart beating out of my chest. The water rower does slide on the floor a bit when you row hard so it helps to have it against a wall. The electronic display is not that great, but it doesn't really matter to me. I will caution taller people that this seems best for people under 6'4, but that's just me going by my eye. It's a bit noisier than I expected, but it's not a noise it's a water woosh sound which isn't a bad sound. However if you're trying to watch tv or listen to music you will have to turn it up a little bit. Overall it's been a good purchase and reliable rowing machine.
