  • Worth It
I’ve had this treadmill for a bit now and I’m using it consistently, not just letting it collect dust like most people do. It’s solid. Doesn’t feel cheap, doesn’t shake all over the place when you pick up speed, and the belt runs smooth. Assembly was straightforward. Took me under an hour without needing to go back and forth with instructions. Once it’s set up, it just works. No weird noises, no lag when adjusting speed or incline. I run a few miles regularly and it holds up fine. Cushioning is decent too, so it’s not beating up my knees like running on straight concrete. That alone makes it worth it. ... show more

  • Very Nice Treadmill That Makes It Easy to Walk More
I am happy that we picked this treadmill (T Series 5). The compact size makes it easy to find a location where we can keep the treadmill out so that we can use it more often, but still be able to move it to clean, etc. Exercise equipment is more useful when it is out and available. Its minimalist profile is nice because it doesn't feel like it's dominating the room. The performance is solid and smooth and quiet. It's solid and strong enough for running and the incline adjustments are nice. We have it on a rubber mat on top of a hard surface, so I'd expect it to be even more quiet if in a carpeted room. I like the smaller control stand/handrails as it makes the treadmill more compact and less obtrusive in the room. That said, I wouldn't recommend putting all of your weight on the handrails as they might not hold up over time since all of the support is on the bolts at the bottom. These are more to steady yourself if you stumble or to rest your hands, which works for us. If more support is needed, then I would suggest looking at one of NordicTrack's larger treadmills. Our kids' friends treat them like parallel bars, so we have to pay attention when we have company. Also, note that the track width is narrower than the larger units. This works for our needs but keep this in mind if your gate is not as steady as it once was as there isn't as much side-to-side step area as on the larger treadmills. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and I am glad that I didn't we didn't go with one of the less expensive "off" brands. ... show more

  • Thrilled!!
I am absolutely thrilled with my treadmill purchase. I wanted a nice new treadmill, but did not want to spend a lot of money with a ton of fancy bells and whistles. I did want a decent size screen for workouts, but in order to get one with a large screen, you have to pay a lot. So after doing a lot of researching and reading reviews, I settled on this lower end model that has Bluetooth capability for an iPad, and I decided to get this plus a new iPad to use in conjunction. I am thrilled with the combination and it is absolutely perfect for my needs. The treadmill is reasonably priced but I did get it on a sale for prime day, which made it even better. The iPad is new but a slightly older model and it works fantastic. I am an iFIT user and my old treadmill was not Bluetooth compatible so I was unable to take advantage of the speed changes and incline changes that people got who could hook up to the iFIT program. I had to guess at changing the speeds manually and I had no incline. So now I am able to use my iFIT program the way it is meant to be and I just love it. My favorite workouts are the ones outdoors in different areas of the world, like Italy, Paris, and French Polynesia. It makes you feel like you're not just sitting home doing a boring workout in a studio. And of course, you could always watch movies or shows on an iPhone or iPad if you wanted to just work out or run without using the iFIT program. And if you didn't even want to do that, of course you can just use it in manual mode. If you are new to iFIT, it does come with a 30 day free subscription so you get a chance to try it out. This treadmill does everything I need without too many extra fancy bells and whistles that I won't use anyway, and at a fabulous price. It is comfortable, wide, very stable, beautifully put together, and relatively quiet. The only con I will give it is that it starts shaking a bit when you run at speeds in the 4s or higher. I have countered that issue by just placing a 3-pound weight in each of the cupholders when I do those type of workouts. Highly recommend!!! ... show more

  • Most Frustrating Experience Ever!
This experience review is for the T Series 5 Treadmill, the one in the picture. A lot of the reviews here seem like they are for other NordicTrack models, NOT the T Series 5. Can't say much of anything positive about this machine or the purchase/delivery process. When i ordered it, the product page said it would be delivered in 2 days. Then the delivery date updated later that night to say it was gonna take more than 10 days, which was after I was leaving town. So since I didn't wanna get this thing delivered on day I wouldn't even be home for, I called Amazon and then the delivery company, and they said to wait to cancel the order because it might get to me sooner than the provided date. So I agreed, and after a lot of calling back and forth it finally got to me the day before my trip. So I had no time to set it up and test it out. Then when I got back in town, two weeks later, after setting it up, which wasn't too hard but not too easy either, I found out it was TOTALLY defective. The control panel with the buttons barely worked. It was hit and miss, but mostly a miss. It was really hard to activate any of the speed buttons, incline buttons, the settings button wouldn't work at all and it pretty much sucked. So I contacted the iFit customer service which was weird since I thought it was NordicTrack. After going back and forth with them over email then over the phone, they had me do a video call so they could see that the control panel didn't work. They said they would send me a new control panel unit and it would ship out within a couple days, and they would contact me as soon as it did. A couple days go by, I got no word from them so I called them a couple times over the next couple days and they finally said they didn't have it in stock and would just "let me know".... And so after waiting a full week for them, I finally said 'screw it' it's going back. Amazon then arranged a pickup with a third party service that would help pack it back up in the box, since these things are impossible to re-pack, especially an item this large, and by myself. After contacting that company to make sure they would take care of that they said not necessarily, so I called Amazon again. They said it should be ok, but will make more arrangements if that doesn't work out with them. So I took the machine apart and packed as much as I could except for the main treadmill track bottom. They did show up and the guy helped me put it back in the box without too much trouble and shipped it out. That same day however, Amazon had sent their own shipping truck to pick up, which showed up a couple hours later, and I told them it was picked up already. And because of that miscommunication on the pickup, my Order page never updated with the tracking back to the warehouse, so I had to keep calling Amazon about getting my page updated to show that I actually shipped it back. Ended up never updating the page, but I finally got my refund 2 weeks later. UNBELIEVABLE!!! And iFit still has not let me know about that control panel replacement. What a junk company! As far as the machine is concerned, the track part of the machine was ok, but the machine is pretty loud, the control unit shakes when walking and more so when jogging. The display is cheap, would be hard to see in a darker room. And it was building up static electricity when I was trying to use it. I would get small shocks when touching the handles while walking. The only thing I like was size of the track and the movement of the track and how it felt under the feet. ... show more

  • Great Budget-Friendly Treadmill That Holds Up to Daily Use
We bought the NordicTrack T Series 5 treadmill as a budget-friendly option to help my husband and me start exercising at home, and we absolutely love it! It has been a great investment for our family. We both use it at least four times a week each, and it has held up really well with consistent use. One thing we really appreciate is how quiet it is—our little boys can watch TV in the same room while we’re working out, and the noise doesn’t bother them at all. Assembly was super easy, which was a huge plus. We also love the incline and speed features because they make it easy to change up workouts and keep things challenging. We use the iFIT program with it, and that has been one of our favorite parts. The coaches guide you through different walks and runs, and it feels like you’re exploring beautiful places all over the world while exercising. It makes workouts so much more enjoyable and keeps us motivated. Overall, this treadmill has been a fantastic purchase for us. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable treadmill to get started with home workouts, this is a great choice! ... show more

  • NordicTrack T Series with iFit is the Perfect Treadmill
I am an avid walker/hiker, but here in Ohio, it does get very cold/snowy in the winter. After a number of times almost slipping on ice early in the morning for walks, I decided it was time for a treadmill/walking pad. We did have years ago an older treadmill, and candidly, we rarely used it. My biggest challenge in the past was because I am used to walking/hiking outside, walking in place for 45 minutes - 1 hour was too boring for me (even watching tv/movie didn't quite help since I just kept looking at the time on when I'd be done). I happened to be on a work trip when I was at a hotel and they had a treadmill that had walks you go on with a screen, and I absolutely loved it. I decided that feature was actually key because I actually felt I was going somewhere (virtually at least). So as I researched treadmills/walking pads, the ability to integrate with a screen to do hikes/walks was key. I solely walk, so running/jogging wasn't a feature of interest. However, every walking pad I researched didn't seem to be built for durability. That led me ultimately to purchase the NordicTrack T Series. It was priced very reasonably and I have more confident in getting a well known brand that has been in this industry as long as I can remember. It also integrates with iFit, which I knew was a key feature I wanted. After using it all winter, I can say I absolutely LOVE our NordicTrack T Series as I used it multiple times/day (I walk before work each morning and at lunch). iFit is an absolute game changer in my opinion. First off, I found several trainers I really, really liked following. For example, I did the Grand Canyon Hiking Series, and here in Ohio, it is grey and cloudy a lot in the winter, and to see clear blue skies and hike with those beautiful views, I forgot at times I live in Ohio and loved those hikes. I also loved the trainer and all he shared about himself, fitness, food, etc. I've done city walks and even just yesterday did an incredible hike at the Duomo in Florence. iFit completely integrates with the treadmill as it changes the elevation/speed automatically to be in sync with the trainer. I can also increase/decrease the pace and it learns over time my fitness level. I also really like that this model doesn't come with a screen, as I simply mounted a small tv to the wall with a Roku stick, and I simply cast from my phone to the tv the iFit so I have a very nice sized screen with great quality for me to hike. Also, this treadmill is very well built, it actually is much lighter in weigh than what we had years ago, and I am confident this will last for many, many years. I share all the times with my friends how great of a product this is. ... show more

  • Purely Functional No Frills/Extras Sweat Machine, Outstanding Build Quality for the $
This review is for the 2024 NordicTrack T Series 5 Treadmill (Model No. NTL17624). I bought this on Black Friday 2024 and got this for a fantastic price w/ an Amazon Promo for $335. I was originally in the market for some kind of cardio equipment and was originally actually looking at Peloton equipment. I was debating if it was worth the money and I saw the Peloton treadmill was $2700. After doing some research, it’s really just over-hyped marketing on the technology front for what basically is a glorified giant ipad with fast processing and high money reoccurring subscriptions. Ultimately, I could not justify to myself putting a 3-4 month payment comparable to that of a entry-level BMW/Mercedes Car Model on a treadmill lol – even with the Black Friday promos et al. At the end of the day I realized I’m buying this equipment to ultimately work as a sweat machine and get some intense cardio in for myself as I’ve put some weight on since marriage and am approaching my mid 30’s and was sick of the $25 monthly planet fitness subscription I barely utilized for most the past year because the gym was on the other side of town and the excess time wasted going in and out of the gym for cardio workouts (changing clothes, shower, having to look semi-presentable in a public gym where I bump into people I know in real social life) was just eating my limited hours in a day with work & family life. I cancelled that subscription and bought this instead. It arrived a week after Black Friday. The amazon guys delivered it in my garage and I took it from there to get it to my basement. The total shipment package is about 140 lbs so having a 2nd person to help you will make life much easier. I immediately checked the parts to make sure everything came in top tier condition from A to Z and luckily, it was packaged extremely well with no horror stories to report on my end. As it gets pretty frigid and cold in New England in the winter months, I wanted a machine that I can keep in the house for quick HIIT workouts in morning before I take a shower and get my start for my workday in the office. So to the treadmill itself: -Excellent Build Quality for the $ from a Reliable Brand (Nordictrack is owned by iFit Inc. which also owns ProForm – these equipment brands were mainstays of the 90’s and 2000’s in any Dick’s sporting good stores that sold treadmills). This is my first NordicTrack treadmill but my parent’s ProForm treadmill(s) are still going strong – 20 years later (and I ultimately attribute that robust build quality/longevity to the parent company of both brands– iFit Inc.). - Relatively easy to install compared to other treadmills (I’ve assembled a much, much more complicated ProForm treadmill with all the bells and whistles in my parent’s house) and this was so easy as compared to that model. You just need to be patient – watch a couple of youtube videos – and make sure you understand each step. Also I did 95% of the installation by myself, I just needed my wife basically for the last part which is when you actually mount the console on top of the treadmill and keep it plugged in (you will want a 2nd person with you for this part especially because this is how electric power comes to the treadmill belt & console). Everything else can be done by 1 person. -2.6 HP Treadmill Rating “Engine” – this is plenty for most people. It’s not 3.0 but I found I was able to do a full run/sprint on this for a good 5 minutes with no problems and I’m a fairly big guy (over 215 lbs). It’s a nice sweet spot between 2.0 HP Treadmills (weak/only good for walking) and 3.0 HP Treadmills (where a lot of commercial treadmills start). -The Console is Super Basic, Absolutely No Frills/Gimmicks – the iFit subscription is the one thing you can get with this (it comes w/ 1 month free with this purchase), but you do not need it for the treadmill to function. It is very easy to understand and very easy to use. This would actually be a really good model for seniors in your family who hate the confusing hyper technology of today’s treadmills. This is a treadmill I’d feel safe with my grandmother using. -iPad/Phone Stand – You can easily make it as fancy or as simple as you want. I will def be using it with my iPad so I don’t feel “wanting” for anything more. All I need is access to YouTube and some headphones and I’m good to go. - Treadmill is def compact and very easy to wheel around to a different part of the room (you just need to lift the rear and basically wheel it around like a farm wheel barrow) -Keep in mind, this does not fold up. Repeat. This.does.not.fold. If you’re someone pressed for extreme space living and want to always maximize every square foot in your residence, this might not pass that test. Although its footprint as normal laid out flat is fairly compact when benchmarking to other treadmills. Bottomline: This machine will get you to sweat without having to sell your kidneys on the black market to do so. You can walk, jog, and yes use it for sprinting and it will work just fine. Most consumers will love this model. Here’s who this model this is NOT for: If you are a serious runner, like you’re one of those people that ran highschool cross country and track and you have an average speed of like 11 mph when you do a sprint and/or power run for like 10 minutes+ straight– you should probably look at higher grade models in NordicTrack’s lineup with at least a 3.0 HP+ rating. ... show more
