It lasts a very very long time. Love it. Non damaging. Easy application. Just follow the directions. Don’t complain about the color on things because I just warned you. It’ll stain a bit but it doesn’t last long. Just don’t over apply if you have shorter hair. Use just as much to paint it. No more no less. If it’s much manic panic has a shampoo to cleanse. It helps. Just so you know. I’m not a paid spokesperson lol just a fan. It’ll stain. Especially if you over color. Read the other reviews too. They got it right.

I am a huge manic panic fan. I have tried almost every color. My favorites are all of their reds and pinks. They last a long time for me- I only wash my hair about once a week. It is a bit difficult when you first start using this product because you have to make sure to not get this dye on anything because it does stain very easily.

I usually use Manic Panic Vampire Red but it was sold out so I tried Pillarbox. I had a touch of Vampire Red left so I used that on the top and the Pillarbox on the rest. The color is close, but a little more muted/faded. I could have lived with that for now. However, the color comes off on EVERYTHING. The side of my face and neck are hot pink. My sheets are hot pink. My shirts and jackets are hot pink. I have washed my hair several times and it's still bleeding. I am positive it is only this color bleeding because my forehead next to the Vampire Red is not pink. I've never had a problem with Manic Panic bleeding like this before. Nothing else has changed since the last time I dyed my hair except the color that I used. Will not ever use this color again - I will wait for Vampire Red.

Very vibrant and bright, but it kept getting onto my pillowcases and surrounding areas despite washing all the dye out. I ended up having to use vitamin c and shampoo to make it stop leaking everywhere. Otherwise lovely just damn, it really stains. Fades to an orangey color.

Ive dyed my hair various reds here and there over the last 15 years or so. Used a few different brands, some better than others, but none ever gave me the experience the Pillarbox red did. Is the color payout pretty nice? Absolutely- it looks fantastic on my hair. The problem is it stains EVERYTHING. And not just a little or a bit red that washes away like other reds Ive used. This bleeds and stains an intense neon pink… and does not stop. Rinsing it in the shower, my whole body was PINK. The amount of scrubbing it took to remove was crazy. Even after rinsing and rinsing, shampoo and rinse again…. It just never stops. I cant even touch my hair without coming away a shade of pink. My shower looks like a unicorn crime scene. Just violently, aggressively vibrant pink. Im dreading the work it will take to scrub it out. So yeah. Great color. Not worth the unending neon bloodbath and staining. Ive never ever had a red dye act like this. I basically have to wear gloves just for days I wash my hair. I hope that stops soon. Its like a curse.

I've colored my hair for years and many fun and funky colors and Manic Panic is my go-to but this red was absolutely horrible. It bled and bled and even after a month and a half of where it still would bleed. If you want all of your clothes and towels and anything that touches you to be red then go ahead and use this product
