When I came across Davidoff Coolwater, it was my absolute favorite perfurme. I recently looked for Cool water clones on reddit and many suggested this is to be very close and some said it is even better. I fall under the some where I find it to be better than cool water and I love it. If you like cool water like smell, then this is worth a try and a safe blind buy for the price. I sprayed a couple of times in the morning, now it is evening and I am still getting the smell myself when I move my arms around. I think the longetivity is good, not sure of the projection, I work from home so I don't run into many folks to get a feedback on the smell. ... show more

I went on a fragrance kick for a while and saw this one reviewed very favorably by many people as a great "vintage" or "classic" scent. I remember it from when I was a kid in the 80's or thereabouts. What stood out to me was that the bottle is basically the same bottle as Davidoff Cool Water but green instead of blue and of course with the Aspen name on it. And I know they are both made by Coty and I had read that they are similar. When I sprayed it on for the first time I got that huge hit of ambroxin (synthetic) just like with Cool Water. But where Cool Water starts to dry down to a very nice aquatic and clean smell, on this one the dry down goes to what smells a little like Cool Water but with a pine or tree scent, BUT the very synthetic smel remains on this one unlike Cool Water where it dissipates mostly. I think if I had the chance to try this first I wouldn't have bought it. But it is so inexpensive that it was not bad for a blind buy. I've worn it a couple times and will give it a few more chances before I start offering it to people. If you already know the scent and like it then just get it - at this price you can't really go wrong. ... show more
