I bought parts for my Polaris 380 from Makhoon before and I've been very satisfied. The Polaris finally died and I couldn't believe the price of a new one or other pressure side cleaner alternatives. My first impressions are great. The unit is of very good quality, came very well packaged and is very complete including clear instructions. It even comes with two bags. The cleaner did an excellent job of cleaning all corners of the pool without getting stuck or tangled. Yes, reliability is still unknown but after my experience extending the life of my Polaris 23 years, knowing this company makes affordable replacement parts for this unit lessens the concern. And for the price, this is an outstanding value.

Purchased on June 7, 2024. Worked great for two weeks, then the backup valve got stuck in reverse propulsion mode. I took it apart and the gears are seized. Other than that the unit works even better than my original Polaris 280 because it climbs the pool walls better. I ordered a replacement backup valve at $28. Im hoping that the company will read this and refund this purchase.

I bought this because of price, that and my frustration with the performance of two different name brand OEM products over the last 15 years we've used. This one - figure if it only lasted half as long, and another replacement was required, since this is less than 1/2 the price of anything else I'd owned I'd still be ahead. So far, this thing is performing MUCH better than the name brand products we've used. So much so that the daily operation has been cut down to half the time and it is STILL better. Saving electricity. Maybe it won't last - you never know - but so far color me happy.

So far so good. Pretty much fully assembled except bag and one hose connection. I had to shorten the hose to keep device from tangling, Hardest part was removing all the protective plastic wrap that protected it. Works great, tail swings back in forth better than the name brand I had previously. Design is very similar to name brand and the plastic seems as good as quality as name brand. Comes with an extra debris bag that name brand doesn't have. If it last 2 years, it will be a good value as name brand only lasted 4. I am editing this to say that I had to take one star backdue to the poor design of the bag clips. The bag easily comes loose just with the slightest touch or even itself brushing against its hose.

I’m a professional pool service provider and bought this as a loaner unit. I’ve been impressed and pleased with its performance thus far. I’ve suggested this sweep to multiple customers on a budget since and the satisfaction has been the same as mine. Obviously, one should not expect it to last/perform long term as a Pentair, but I’m reasonably confident that it will last for 5 years or longer.

What I saved compared to better brands will be lost in replacing wheels. The wheel connection to the unit is poorly constructed and they break easily…just ordered my third replacement wheel.

This updates my review of June 26, 2024. Within forty-six days after installation the right front wheel fell off. The Arbor seal (part C01) which is made of plastic broke. The material I received with the cleaner states there is a one year warranty but lists no contact information for warranty service or parts. Still searching. The cleaner worked well until the wheel fell off, but it does not hold up over time.
