I had a small issue with the holes not exactly aligning with the umbrella base stand. I solved it by using a round metal file and enlarging the holes on the umbrella base stand to facilitate a fit to the plastic base. I contacted customer service and they were fantastic and willing to ship a new base right out. Overall this is a nice product the only reason I give it four stars is because the first one we got leaked. We filled it with water so that we can drain it for winter and bring it inside. It would be fine with sand. Amazon graciously sent us another one free of charge. The second one is working out very well! This seems to be very sturdy as well with the breeze. I haven’t tried it in a strong wind because I do not want to ruin my umbrella. So the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that the first one we got leaked. They replaced quickly and it holds a very heavy umbrella well and maneuvers easily for my husband but not for me however it is. Heavy duty and holds a heavy umbrella so not its by fault.

The design of the umbrella requires anyone under 5’6” to stand on the edge of the stand in order to reach the handle used to open and close it. Consequently I wish the plastic of the base was thicker or had a built with a step. I worry that over time the plastic will develop stress fractures.

This umbrella is well made. It is very sturdy, was easy to assemble as is the recommended base. It’s a nice additional to our paver patio. I personally want to thank Vicky in Customer service who promptly resolved a minor issue beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend this product.

I wanted wheels for easier movement. I learned to empty some water out to help with handling and reduce the torque on the connection points. Exactly what I wanted. I had difficulty in securing the umbrella to the stand and working with customer service the issue completely resolved

We are quite happy with the base. It seems well made and the built-in wheels make it pretty easy to move. We used 2 bags of sand and some water and it seems quite sturdy.
