I use this with an adapter to use the dryer outlet in the garage to level 2 charge my cars. I have to set it to 16 or 24 amps instead of the rated 32 amps because the outlets won't safely support that much power. But even at 16 amps its a lot faster than level 1 charging. So far this charger has worked flawlessly. The price is great

Been using it on long trips. Works on Tesla with Tesla-included adapter. Also works with 2025 Ioniq 5 with NACS port using the same adapter so I'd imagine it will work with any EV with NACS and J1772. Total of around 20 charging sessions in 6 months with each session being 5hr or more. No issues so far. If you must ask why I opted for J1772 instead of the native NACS, the Tesla mobile charger doesn't work with every EV though it might with an adapter but those were expensive. The Ioniq 5 I have may get OTA to work with it but I doubt it. The Tesla mobile charger isn't updatable so there's that. I didn't want to spend same money to be stuck with no options so I opted for J1772 in case I ever need it and I had spare J1772 to NACS adapter. TLDR; for best compatibility.

Clip mechanism is absolute garbage. In cold weather the clip will not release, and after wrestling with it for a half hour had to jam a screwdriver into the port to pry the clip up and out. Permanent damage to car.

I like this thing. All I have to do is park my car and plug this in, and it just goes. Setup was pretty easy- I plugged it in, set it to the maximum safe amperage for my wiring (some electrical knowledge is useful here) and that was it. I bought this one to replace a worse one I had that required me to activate it for each charge via an app. It often struggled to connect to wifi for whatever incomprehensible reason, necessitating multiple re-sets per week. But this charger, however, has been so easy. I haven't had to mess with it at all since I set it up several months ago. It just works. It charges at the expected speed for my selected amperage. And yes, as other reviews have indicated, it gets a little warm during operation, but that's just kinda how electricity works. I have not observed it getting properly "hot," however.

This unit affordably got me charging my EV while I waited for my electrician to work me into his busy schedule. Also it allows me to use an RV pedestal/service box with plugs for my EV, my RV, and a 120V convenience outlet. A 5' length of 2-2-2-4 cable, a 50A circuit breaker, and a 240V outlet from the orange store got my EV going. DO NOT TRY THIS WITHOUT DETAILED ELECTRICITY UNDERSTANDING AND THE NECESSARY TOOLS - - 240V CAN KILL YOU! However, your electrician can get you set up quickly this way until they can do the permanent installation up-to-code. The real-time information on the display is useful (it showed me that there is more variation in the service voltage than I expected) and you can adjust the current/rate of charge by simply pressing the single button to adjust from 10A to 32A. I'm thoroughly impressed by this charger and very satisfied with it. The information displayed (W, A, V, time) are enough to know what's going on.
