I recently purchased a 2022 Kia Niro EV and love the car. However, I was not happy with waiting 24 hours to charge it to 80%. I have a 240 v Nema 6-20 in my garage. It is costly to convert to the latest socket but then I found thewhich fits my plug. I called Kia and they said it was safe to use. I was amazed how much faster this charger works. It’s simple to use and my car told me the battery would be charged in 8hr 30 min. It was accurate and took 1/3 of the time. Product comes with a 1 year warranty and if you register it they extend rep that another 6 months. It also comes with a 110 adapter which I may need to use when 220 v is not available. After charging the charger was not over heated. It is also reasonably priced

I was slightly skeptical at first, but this charging cable is quite excellent. It's a very heavy duty gauge wire, and the plastic housing is thick and strong - definitely not cheap, so this won't crack under normal use. The LED lights are easy to understand and very bright in daylight. Not sure why other reviewers are mentioning slow charging, heating, not safe for outdoors, errors, etc. We don't see any of those issues at all - nothing wrong at all. Definitely recommended!

This charger is exactly what i was looking for to keep in my car to charge at work. It’s lightweight, functions as intended, seems like decent build quality, and charges faster than my stock charger. I would typically get 1.3 kw with the original Polestar charger that my car came with, but this one will get up to 1.8 kw. That’s a 40% increase which is a big help. Very happy so far.

Do not buy. does not meet NEC standards. The gauge on plug which they omit in the description is very important. NEC standards or rules is that if it's going to be hooked up to a 20 amp it should be 12 gauge the charger is 14 AWG which is too small of a copper inside no wonder it was hot to the touch I'm not going to wait for this to burn the car or my house down. I've used both the 120 and the 240 and they both run hot. I've unplugged and will be returning. Even though it's using 16 amps as it says the gauge inside the plug itself is not up to standard it should be 12 AWG not 14.

I bought this as a backup level 1 charger as I have already a hardwired level 2 charger. This product seems to be well made as the cable is heavy duty. I tested and confirmed that it works just fine with my EV. The unit never gets too warm at all during the charge, an indication that it works just fine.
