I bought a second set for my mother in law who was visiting as a gift, when she opened it when she flew back home, the silicone handle was missing. I contacted the seller and I was very happy that they resolved the issue. Other than that 5 stars.

We LOVE cast iron pans in our house. They're our goto pans, because they're so versatile. We cook almost everything in them. My husband makes the absolute best steaks in the cast iron. He reverse sears them by putting them in the oven at a low temperature, until they reach the desired temperature. Once they're the right temperature, he sears them for 2 minutes on each side. They're so tender you can literally slice through them with a butter knife. Dang, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I use it for all the rest of the cooking. I especially like using it instead of my Dutch oven, because the heat is more evenly distributed. Two months ago, I purchased a Legend pizza pan and it's the best pizza pan I've ever had. It's holding up great and seasoning up nicely. Not only is their cast iron made with high quality steel and iron, but it's half the price of the Lodge brand. I chose this pan because I needed one with a tempered glass lid. My other pans either didn't have a lid or the lid was cast iron. This lid is made with good quality glass and it's very easy to clean. The extra long handle with the silicone sleeve makes it much easier to get the pan in and out of the oven. It comes pre-seasoned with vegetable oil, which is extremely important and essential. When I was looking at pans some were pre-seasoned, but with synthetic products that are full of chemicals. Who wants to cook their food in a pan that's basically seasoned with poison. Yuk! I'm very impressed with the quality and durability of the Legend brand of cast iron and will definitely be purchasing more.

Great to have 2 different sizes of cast iron skillets. I use the larger size CONSTANTLY, but is always great to have 2 sizes to use whenever you need. The one thing I would say is the w orange handle covers sometimes get some damage from the heat, but still can be used and do protect you from the heat (I'll also say that I bought some fabric/potholder material ones to replace them and those caught fire -- the perils of cooking on high on a gas range!) Great quality, and as easy cleanup as you can expect from cast iron.

I bought this one because it came with a glass lid, whereas the Lodge skillets do not. I bought this and a smaller Lodge skillet in the same order and have gone through the same seasoning process for both. After seasoning them both with Crisco and with oil a few times and using them both once, this Legend is definitely not as ready as the Lodge. Only time will tell on how it holds up the more I use it and build up the seasoning on it, so hopefully after I use it more, it will be more non-stick than it currently is. One thing that I've noticed after seasoning this three times now, is that when I pull it out of the oven, is that some of the seasoning comes off as I slide it off the oven rack. Ok so quick update, I seasoned this baby a couple more times, baking for 45 min to an hour at 450. My first crack at making eggs and ground sausage before doing this was not so smooth, but I did it again after these last two seasoning sessions (now four times total), and it worked like a champ. No stick this time at all. Just needed some extra love. Now, I will say that the quality of the piece seems to be fine. It just needed to be seasoned two more times than my Lodge skillet that I received in the same shipment, so it was a good side by side comparison. My only gripe at this point is that the silicon handle cover is a little thin, so I'd recommend still wearing an oven mitt when cooking because that handle still gets pretty hot, even with the handle cover on it. Adding a star back to my review for a 4/5.

First off besides being an excellent product, the customer service was second to none. The FedEx delivery picture was definitely not my door. FedEx delivered to the wrong address. I can get through to the Pentagon easier than trying to get a human at FedEx. I called the Company and left a message. They called back immediately and sent me a new pan for no charge and no questions asked. I never did get the 1st one. As to the pan itself, once its seasoned, the food cooks faster and more evenly because of heat distribution. I used it the first time for filet mignon and it was better than on a grill. Seared it on top the stove then put the pan in the oven on high heat. I had a cast iron skillet decades ago and don't know why I ever got rid of it. This is a good product from a great company.
