I got my machine today and made 7 omelets for the freezer. It worked great. Made very fluffy omelets that rose and were a good size (about the size of a hot pocket). I used a dozen eggs, small bag of shredded cheese, 6 oz of ham chopped up (sandwich ham) and it made 7 omelets. I forgot to buy milk so didn't had any but they turned out great I only let them go for 8 minutes, not 10. I ate the last one I made and it was perfect. The unit is super easy to clean, just wipe it clean. I did use non stick spray and wiped the machine between batches. I have 6 omelets in the freezer for the week. I use to buy the Jimmy Dean Omelets that I don't think they make anymore and these are about the same size but a lot cheaper and so easy. I wasn't sure what machine to buy or really if there is any difference but this one did all it promised. You do not have control over the heat but for what I bought it for I didn't need it. ... show more

OK I think I finally figured this machine out. At first, I was underwhelmed by the results. My omelettes were OK, but tended to be somewhat overcooked and burned on the outside. Also, I often has issues with the egg overflowing and spilling out onto the counter as it cooked. Clearly two eggs with some modest filling (some cheese and couple pieces of sausage) was more than this thing could handle. So ultimately my solution was simple. I created my two egg mixture and then split it across the 2 sections, creating a one egg omelette on each side. After letting it cook for about 3-4 minutes and it started to firm up, I flip them and then close the lid for another 1-2 minutes. The result was a much tastier and appropriately cooked omelette inside and out. So ultimately, the extra effort of flipping alongside my now decreased capacity of 1 omelette split into 2 hampers the overall value. However I still find it easier than using the stove and a pan. For $20, still helps me save some time. ... show more

I bought this as a gift for my husband who is our omelet-maker. He usually makes free formed omelets on a griddle or a skillet so I thought he would like this. However, he was less than impressed. For starters, it makes a one-size-fits-all omelet and the directions say you must follow their recipes in the manual. And they have some really strange recipes, which makes me think this is not an American product. Another reason I think that is because the instructions are worded strangely and omit needed information (in my opinion) that an American would have expressed or clarified. And it is designed to make two omelets even if you want only one. It doesn't say whether this is advisable or not. We decided that he would continue to make omelets the old-fashioned way and not have another electric appliance to have to store or deal with. ... show more

This little appliance is a gem! For me, it makes the perfect size omelette. For my husband, he needs both sides filled. But it cooks the omelettes perfectly and quickly. The nonstick feature is great and it’s very easy to clean. I think it’s built pretty sturdy but if I have any issues with that, I will update my review.
