  • Durable non-stick pot and features that other models at this price don't have
Color: Black Size: 8 Quarts
While this is a pretty standard pressure cooker for this price point, I chose this one because most don't have a sous vide function. Overall I am happy with it. I have a higher end brand at home, but purchased this during an extended stay with family and it's been perfect in that context. So far I have not noticed a big difference between this model and the name brand. In at least one respect, this model is better. The non-stick pot seems far more durable than the name brand. I haven't been careful with this pot, and in a few weeks of heavy use (like once a day), there's no discoloration or dinging through the non-stick coating. As noted, it has a sous vide function. Don't sleep on this, getting pre-marinated meat at the market and popping it in the water bath without even opening the packaging is incredibly nice; the meat turns out great, it's incredibly forgiving, and there's zero clean-up. It's particularly choice for dinner parties where everyone hangs out beforehand and you want to be able to serve hot food as soon as everyone sits down. Only down side compared to a standalone sous vide is that you're limited to the area of the pot (though the pot is big so it fits most jobs), and the time to heat the water is long compared to the standalone. A few minor quibbles: the yogurt function is not great.. There is no built-in boil function, so that must be done independently. I had been very happy with the name brand version, as there is very little scalding, which is the big down side of doing it stove-top. You can use the saute function to boil in this model, but you have to babysit it more. The non-stick pot does a pretty good job of avoiding scalding but I don't trust it enough to walk away like you can with other models. Given no boil feature, the Comfee basically holds the milk to the yogurt temperature. That means you have to have a thermometer to test the temp yourself prior to adding the cultures, or risk killing them. Other models self-regulate and let you know when you can add the cultures. You also cannot easily add time if you check the yogurt and it's still too runny. A minor issue, but a surprising one. I'll still use this to make yogurt, but I'm guessing the sous vide function is a better way to do the post-boiling steps. Second, the manual is pretty worthless. The model works like most pressure cookers, but the buttons are not quite consistent with other brands ("Level" is not the best choice of description). So, I wouldn't give this model to, e.g., my mother who's never used a pressure cooker before, as it would likely be too confusing. I'm a frequent user of other models and have been for years, and I even found it a little less clear than I'd like. On top of this, unlike name brands, there is no real quick start guide or recipe book. Not an issue for me, but might be for some. Third, the pressure valve is a little subtle and a little spitty(?) It always takes me a second to feel out which way is sealed and which is open, as the markings are faint and the rise between the two is subtle. Fancier models either make this really clear, or automatically seal when you close the lid. The valve on this feels very old school. And because the release is manual (turning the valve by hand rather than sliding a button, e.g.), it requires more care to quick release the pressure without burning yourself. The release spigot tends to spit a little, so I find I need to be very careful. On other models, I would trust my pre-teen kid to be able to use it without any worry, but for this model, I'd be worried they'd hurt themselves from carelessness. Finally, the choice of included extras is a little unusual: a rice cup (3/4 cup, as you'd get with a rice cooker), a rice paddle, a deep serving spoon, and a trivet. I didn't notice markings inside the bowl that show how much water you add per rice cup serving, so I'm not entirely sure why the rice cup. The rice paddle is an unexpected positive, though I suspect most people who are frequent rice eaters probably already have one that came with a rice cooker. Still, perhaps a good thing for college students or others who have limited space for small kitchen appliances who may actually use this as a rice cooker. I do like the included spoon, as I keep it in the pot when not in use and thus always have it for serving directly from the cooker. The fact that it's right there is a good way to never use metal on the non-stick surface. All that said, the durability of the pot is a much bigger deal than the minor negatives, all of which can be worked around. At this price point, the features and build seem on par with more expensive models, other than the throwback valve. ... show more

  • It works, but awkward. You can do better. It works, but awkward. You can do better.
Color: Black Size: 6 Quarts
Works, but cumbersome to use due to having to click a single button multiple times to move from one setting to another. You can’t just click different buttons. You have to cycle through. Then you must use a different button to set the time. The buttons are hard to read. After multiple uses, I still find it nonintuitive. That said, it heats up quicker than my old unit. Takes only 5 minutes to build up steam. The lid with top handle is nice. Pot is nonstick and easy to clean. I use it often to make chili, stew, and risotto. ... show more

  • Excellent buy & value for the $
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 6 Quarts
I got this in July 2025. I love it! Mine was only $67.73 + tax so $71 & change for the 6 quart. I use it almost every day. It makes amazing hard boiled eggs & they peel so easy using the 5-5-5 method. I also love all the functions it has. I did steamed hot dogs & buns & I felt like I was at a baseball game. The instructions are frustrating but it’s a learning curve. No recipe book, no problem! I’ve used instant pot recipes & they work every time! I make soups & roasts. Pasta, Whole 6.5 lb Chicken which fit as long as it doesn’t go past the fill line & the lid can go on. So many things. Even a meatloaf but I didn’t buy a pan to do pot in pot I used foil & if I want my meatloaf with a crust I put it on a cookie sheet & broiled it for a bit. Rice comes out perfect. I also found out u can pressure cook dry beans then freeze them for when u make soups. No soaking. I always look up recipes on YouTube so the possibilities are endless. Easy cleanup. The price was cheaper than Walmart. Why buy an Instant Pot when u can save $$ & the Comfee is just as good? I would highly recommend the Comfee vs Instant pot. So far I think it’s durable & the Teflon pot doesn’t bother me. It’s a win win! Happy cooking😀 I’ve even started it when I forgot to add something & it wasn’t that long so I hit cancel & waited then checked if any pressure built up which it didn’t but opened the valve & it was all good & safe. Then I added what I forgot & started over & everything was fine. ... show more
