  • Worth the Money
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
Best Impulse Buy ever. With all the crazy rain, had some water getting into my lower level and onto my carpet in the family room. My concern was drying the carpet before mold and mildew set in. My neighbor suggested I purchased a dehumidifier, not sure what it would do but I purchased one. After looking at a few reviews the Midea was ranked very well. I opted for this size because I rather have a large one and not need it, than to purchase a smaller one and it's not large enough for what I needed. In the past it took me over a week to get the carpet dry using towels to mop up the excess water and a floor heater running continuously. With the Midea my carpet was dry within a couple days and the stale water smell was gone and eliminating the possibility of mold and mildew setting up, which was a major concern for me. It's very quiet. You can set the cycle to run continuous or not; it holds 4 gallons of water and you can set it from 1-4; once it reach it's limit is wills shut itself off. Looking at most dehumidifiers they have a holder that you have to pull out to dump; the Midea sits on top of the bucket; you simply lift it up roll the bucket to where you're going to empty it and your done. I highly recommend this unit. Photos are with my unit set to 2 gallons of water. Works well in high humidity, it will be your new best friend. ... show more

  • Reads 30% humidity at all times
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
The humidistat or hygrostat reads 30% at all times since the first time it was started. Restarting doesn't solve the issue. The desired humidity level can be set as low as 35% but of course the unit doesn't start running because it thinks that the room is at 30% humidity. The unit only runs if it's on Constant mode. Returned. ... show more

  • It has quirks with heat emission.
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
Works great for the humidity, but it’s dreadful for heat. We overheat in our own space now from using it (yes it’s mean for our sq footage and we keep it away from objects and walls). We tried to run it with the ac to cool ourselves down and the humidity function went down. It keeps telling us to empty the bucket when it like 1/4 full. Which is also super annoying to the function of having such a large bucket. But I do appreciate the wheels and handle on the bucket. The noise level is pretty loud. It helped drown out the sound of fireworks last night on the 4th of July 🤦♀️. Controls are pretty straight forward. The manual also layed them out in case of confusion or question. I am debating returning it through because the heat emission. I just got it about two weeks ago and it’s insane. ... show more

  • Great product
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
I have two dehumidifiers because my basement has multiple rooms, and I keep one in each room. This model has a much larger water tank, a sleek and modern design, and it's very easy to operate. Emptying the tank is simple too,I can easily carry the unit with one hand and put on ther floor, pour out the collected water. It works very efficiently and also comes with smart app support. I can check the humidity levels in my basement anytime and adjust the settings right from my phone. It's incredibly convenient and makes managing the humidity in different rooms effortless. ... show more

  • Very disappointing. Tried 2 units and sent both back.
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
This does NOT work as advertised and is a pain to try to operate. 1) Some of the buttons to change options do not work. 2) It keeps trying to connect to my phone to set up the "app," which I do not want. 3) Having the water bucket on the bottom is not a good idea - the bucket gets too heavy with water and the top part is also heavy to move each time. 4) It puts out a lot of heat. Even if the humidity goes down a little, the temp in the room has gone up by several degrees. I don't know why this got good marks from some reviews on-line. I bought one and had so many problems I sent it back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that there might have been a problem with that one unit, so I ordered a 2nd one. However, the 2nd one was just about as bad as the first -- so both units got sent back. ... show more

  • Wanted to love it, but strange design
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
Like many others, I was intrigued by the Midea dehumidifier and the fact that a leading consumer rating organization rated this model very high. I'm beginning to doubt the thoroughness and objectivity of those ratings. I've had the Midea Cube 35 for a few weeks now. It replaces a more conventional unit that did a fine job for 10+ years in my basement. The Midea is quiet and dehumidifies very well. The controls are conveniently placed and easy to use. That said, I had to deduct a star for the aspects of the design that seem poorly thought out. The unique "nesting" feature that is so prominently advertised is only useful for storing the unit when not in use. Keep in mind before buying that the unit weighs about 40 pounds and to empty the collection bucket at the bottom, you have to lift the almost-40 pound humidifier off the bucket and set it aside (where it will probably drip some water). Then, if you made the mistake of letting the collection bucket fill up, 4.2 gallons of water weighs 35 pounds - and you have to lift the bucket, hope you don't slosh too much water out, and get it to where you are going to empty it. Fortunately, there is a setting that will stop the unit when the bucket is 1/4 full, 1/2 full, etc, but why have the huge collection bucket if you can't really use it? I worry a bit about all the handles being plastic and how they will hold up over time lifting this weight. My advice - if you have back problems or have trouble lifting 40-ish pounds, use the Midea with a drain hose connected or look for other options. ... show more

  • Great little dehumidifier. Small and quieter.
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
Great little dehumidifier. I liked the fact that you can store it in the bucket, even though it has a large bucket it filled in one day so it seems very efficient. I use it in bucket less mode with it sitting on top of the bucket with a small hose draining to a sump pit. It’s quite quiet more so then others I have owned. ... show more

  • Great for basement!
Size: 3,500 Sq. Ft.
This is much better than what we have. We have a one gallon tank dehumidifier. Our basement very humidity. One gallon tank has to be empty one or twice daily. We were looking for a bigger tank. 4 gallons seem like the best option for us. We don’t have to empty it every day. It would not be too heavy to carry it. Setup was easy. Control is simple. Very quiet. Design is good much smaller than the 4 gallons dehumidifier on the market with the bucket on the bottom. The only thing on this design is you have to lift the whole unit up and set on the side to empty the bucket. It’s not the big deal for me. We have it over a month now. Working well no issues at all. One of great upgrades from the old one. ... show more
