I dont know if this is normal or not, but its annoying. When i come home i plug in my 2023 id4, but i have to go over to the outlet each time and unplug the unit and plug it back in. Like i have to reset it each time. I wish i could leave it plugged in and when i get home, just plug the car in, but no.... ... show more

It is doing what it should. I have only had it 2 days. The charge cable that I bought withe car lasted 1 year, 17 days. Will the new one beat that? I sure hope so.

    • Not for rain or cold
The charger trips often and won't charge in rain or cold weather. Once it stops working, it takes days to clear the fault. If it's sunny out and decent temp, it charges just fine.

    • Works out of the box, and pulls a max 15 amp correctly
I have 20 amp 110 (not standard, most have 15 amp) so I wanted a 15 Amp Level 1 charger (vs 8 or 12). This was one of the few I found and it is working as expected. The wire is Type 12 and is rated to 20 Amps (many are 15 only) so the systems seems to be engineered well. Most others were cheating with Type 14 wire rated right at 15 Amps.
