  • Great Base
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 6 Quart
I use this as a base for my custom succulent soil mix, and it works really well. The soil looks clean and is easy to handle and blend with other materials. With a few small tweaks, it's great for growing succulents and cacti.

  • Perfect Succulent Soil
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 12 Quart
If you’ve ever loved a succulent to death by overwatering, you know the heartbreak of soggy roots. This organic mix is light, gritty, and drains beautifully, mimicking the desert environment succulents crave. My aloe and echeverias bounced back immediately firm, vibrant, and thriving.

  • Great soil mix for succulents good drainage
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 12 Quart
I’ve tried a few different succulent soils before, and this one has worked really well for my plants. The texture feels light and gritty, which is exactly what you want for succulents and cacti since it drains quickly and doesn’t stay soggy after watering. I repotted several plants using this mix and noticed they adjusted pretty fast with no signs of overwatering or root stress. It also doesn’t have that strong chemical smell some soils have, which I appreciate when using it indoors. The bag was clean with very few large wood pieces, and I didn’t need to mix in extra perlite right away like I’ve had to do with other brands. For beginners especially, it’s convenient because it’s ready to use straight out of the bag. Overall, a solid organic mix that makes repotting simple and keeps succulents happy. I’ll definitely buy it again. ... show more

  • Finally, a mix that actually drains!
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 6 Quart
I’ve lost more succulents than I care to admit to "universal" potting soils that stay damp for way too long. I bought this bag to repot my growing collection of echeveria and a stubborn jade plant and the difference in texture is immediately obvious. It’s gritty, airy and doesn't clump into a wet sponge when you water it. You can actually see the water move through the soil and out the drainage holes which is exactly what my desert plants need to avoid the dreaded root rot. The best part is that it’s 100% organic so I don't have to worry about weird synthetic additives. Since switching, my jade plant has actually started putting out new, firm growth and the colors on my succulents seem a lot more vibrant. It’s the perfect size for a small "plant surgery" afternoon on the patio without having a massive, heavy bag leftover. If you’re a plant parent who tends to overwater, this mix is basically the best insurance policy you can buy for your cacti. ... show more

  • Good potting mix
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 6 Quart
I thought this was good potting mix for my succulents, but there were some big pieces of wood and some pieces of sticks that I had to pull out. (Not a big deal, but noteworthy.) Overall, I was satisfied with it. I was amazed at quickly it arrived! There is enough here to last me a long time, and if I ever run out, I'll definitely buy again. ... show more

  • Very Nice Potting Soil Very Nice Potting Soil
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 6 Quart
I really like this succulent mix. It drains well, which is a must. I keep many cactus and succulents and I'm always looking for good soil. This nutrient rich formula is working really well so far. I'm not used to paying this price for a small bag, but for the sake of convenience I would do it again. I normally buy large bags from the big garden centers in town, but was unable to find it when I needed it. I took a chance on this and I'm glad I did. I had a lot of small transplanting projects to do, so the small bag was just perfect. There were a lot of complaints in the reviews about gnats and fungus being in the soil. I can tell you from experience that that can happen with any soil from anywhere. It's always a crap shoot when you buy a bag of soil and open it up. Gnats and fungus spores can get in the soil at the manufacturing facility, in the warehouse where they're stored, or even while they're in a truck being delivered somewhere. I wouldn't fault the company for having these problems. Sometimes you could open a bag of soil and put it in your garage or shed and all it takes is one gnat to come lay an egg or one fungus spore and you're whole bag can be spoiled. I got lucky with this particular bag. No complaints here! Another issue I saw in the reviews was that people were unhappy with the little bits of wood found in the soil. This soil actually comes with aged bark (it says it on the bag), so little bits of wood is to be expected. A lot of cactus mix comes with bits of wood, so I'm used to it. If someone didn't like it, they could easily pick the pieces out and throw them away. Again, no complaints here! In the future, if I need a small bag of soil I would absolutely purchase this again. I'm quite happy with it! :) ... show more

  • Great quick-drying mix.
Style: Suculent & Catcti Blend Size: 12 Quart
You actually get two 6-quart bags when you order the 12 quart, just so you know. I got it in a box with a charger etc, and it has micro holes on the sides which got the dirt on my new charger and other items in my combined order, so beware that. It works excellently though and went a long way per bag for my use. Still have some left. It dries so much faster than the potting soils I got at greenhouses locally, and my plants actually got a growth boost after switching out their soil mixes to this. I think it was worth buying for sure, and I may buy it again in the future. It actually had a good amount of sand, which other cactus mixes I've tried have not. I didn't even have to add perlite, which I had to do majorly for my other soils and they still were long waterlogged. ... show more

  • It's worth the money

This is good succulent soil. I put my aloe vera plants in it and they made some new ones. I was pleasantly surprised because I am not very good with plants.
