Unlike traditional hearing aids with horrible volume control, these hearing aids work by simply pushing the button on the side. It's big enough that there's no need to take each earpiece to adjust. It also auto charges and the built-in battery case allows for easy charging multiple times. Sure, it's black and may not match the skin color but it also looks like regular earbuds and is much easier to take in & out. There are multiple levels to adjust the volume on the audio side of things. It can be turned way up and you can hear the faintest noise. In some ways, this can be used for listening to let's say, whispers nearby. Sure, it's not directional, but you'd be amazed at what you can hear with a little amplification. If you're looking for a spare set of hearing aids or just experimenting to see if you need them, these will work well for you. They're basically like bluetooth earbuds with microphones built into them. They allow for better hearing and certainly amplify sounds. I did notice they did a decent job of cutting out random noises and background noise. They come in a charging case that also displays the remaining battery life of the hearing aids. They charge with standard USB-C cables - so standard that even Apple has switched to it. They're easy to use - a big button to turn them on and off with a long press and short presses to adjust the volume. There's only 4 volume settings. I find these to be a nice addition to the hearing aid need as they don't seem to be affected by moisture or sweat, are nice when I don't want to be overwhelmed by sound or when I am in a crowd. They have a feature that allows them to noise cancel some of the background noise so that I can get more focus. The fit is like an earbud, the battery life is shorter than a normal set of hearing aids, but I don't use them all the time..just for times when I will be out in the weather or when I would be doing activities that would bring about sweat. The sound can be a bit tinny at times, but I do appreciate how easily these are to work with, adjust volume on and control and fine tune. ... show more

My husband and I both wear expensive audiologist hearing aids. I thought we'd be perfect to review this product. Hearing aids can not get wet or you will ruin them. When we are outside gardening in 90-degree heat, we sweat so we can not wear our hearing aids as they will get wet. We like to have these inexpensive hearing aids so we can hear outside when working. If over-the-counter inexpensive aids get wet, it's not a big deal. My husband's hearing aids cost 6000.00 so that is a big deal if they get wet. Also, these are great if your regular hearing aids are charging and you need to hear. At first, we did not like our Joincee rechargeable hearing aids. They squealed all the time. If you even put your hand near your ear, you'd get loud squeals that hurt your ears. Trying to adjust the volume when it's loudly squealing is not fun! We were not going to recommend them. Then we figured out that by changing the plastic domes that go into the ear made the squealing stop. We went from not going to recommend these aids to completely loving them. We have over-the-counter aids/amplifiers from a couple of different companies and these are definitely our favorite! They are easy to insert and take out. The volume is easy to control and has 4 settings. Turning them on and off is very easy. They are very portable. They feel good in our ears. In the description, it says for slight hearing loss. My husband and I have a good deal of hearing loss, and we really like them. They are a cross between a hearing aid and an amplifier. We both highly recommend them. I might buy another pair so we each have our own set. These are great as back ups for our expensive aids. ... show more

I don't where hearing aids, but I probably should because I know I have problems. I have tried several different appliances but have not got along with them because of how difficult they are to adjust, or they don't stay in the ear. These are like ear buds and fit very well. The volume level is easy to adjust and I did not have any difficulties with regulating volume. They don't look like adaptive devices, which I like and they are not bulky or obtrusive. ... show more

This is all I need. I have trouble in a group hearing what people are saying. This works perfectly well for me. They fit nicely in my ear. There are different pad sizes to help them fit correctly. They offer just a little amplifying, and the price is right. Definitely worth a try.
