I have tried many different kinds of Hearing Aid ( this is really a sound amplifier). This is the best so far for low cost ($25.19). Pros 1. It has feedback sound cancellation, this is very important. It will SQUEAL during your placing it in your ear. But once you pushed it in enough, the squeal will stop. 2. It does not have background noise like some that I have returned, so it is quiet when no sound is around. This is called sound threshold elimination. 3. The microphone is in your ear so the outer part of your ear that catches sound helps you collect extra sound waves to help you hear. Another type of hearing aid has two pieces joined by a tube, one part goes in you ear and the other part hangs over your ear with a pin hole microphone:- as a result you outer ear that catches the sound is useless. 4. Low Cost:- only $25.14 for one ear. 5. The cost is low, so if you lose one, buy another. 6. With two ears, you can tell the direction of the sound. Cons. 1. It is not like the $5,000 proper hearing aid that is adjusted to you hearing chart for each ear; so use lowest volume to avoid damaging you hearing. 2. The little cone piece ( pale white) that you have to put on yourself (to fit your ear size) is not that easy to put on. Make sure you chose the right size and put it on securely. Not using the right size will make it SQUEAL in your ear. 3. It is small, so adjusting volume is not that easy ( Clockwise for louder and Counter clockwise for softer). ... show more

I have used the right ear device for 10 months and it worked great. I ordered the left ear device to replace my worn $2000 device. The volume on the new device only allow high volume. Replaced under return policy and getting a new one. We shall see.

Excellent item for the price. Not noticeable in the ear when you are wearing it. Affortable batteries that last for a reasonable period of use. My only problem is muscle facial movements sometimes make hearing piece come out of ear canal and I have to keep pushing it back in. I've tried using different domes but haven't been able to find one that would be a good fit to prevent it from popping out of ear canal. ... show more
