Not hard but take your time and you will need another person to assist you for a bit. Material is water proof. And as another person suggested in a review I read which will help stabilize the poles and not come down during high winds. Use a pipe stabilizing clamp. Or I used a pole clamp $4 apiece so for $8 the awning poles are secured to house Nice product. Reduced heat and rain runs further away from the door

Pretty easy to set up with the instructions. I was able to get this up by myself with a bit of strategy. Importantly, I was able to get this up on a small balcony about 3' x 6' , 4th floor. Had to put main parts together inside, then put together the 3 main peices on the balcony and secure it. It is possible. It seems very sturdy by the roof and floor. There is some wobble in the center due to the telescoping nature of the rods. Waiting to see if it's really water proof. Will update. Update: survived many wind and rain storms. it is waterproof. no issues so far

I have a unique area that needs some sort of sun cover for part of the day. I used to have an installed awning but it was a bit of a pain and the fabric started to get mossy. I ordered this hoping it would be easy to install and manage. This has been a DREAM! Ok, I won't lie, it took me (by myself) awhile to put it together, but I was so proud of myself when I did lol and it has not disappointed! I had to sort of rig it working with an eve and with the rotating ends, I was able to make it work and it's super sturdy!!

The quality of the fabric is decent, but you have to roll it onto the piece and very carefully or it will be off kilter. The pieces are the end of the awning that can be adjusted. You do have to adjust the angle of the arm pieces as you crank it out or it will be off kilter.

Not bad but fabric is kinda thin should be double the thickness but i guess that's why it's cheap. Pictures are with the awning fully extended. If u have eves like mine which are sloped u need to cut a 2x4 across and then attach the angle on top of that. U need a wedge because the top foot doesn't pivot at all. (See photo) See the white line going across where the wedge is, that is my fashia lifting up from Torqueing down the support bars. So I need to redo that adding first a 2x4 across nailed to the joist. I also added several more screws on the ends, post wobbles, and if you're in a very windy area I would recommend closing it. That being said, I would recommend this awning with modifications mentioned. Will see in a year if it's still working.
