Assembly took about 30 minutes. Awning is working well and has withstood a bit of wind before a couple of rainstorms. THE FOLLOWING IS CRITICAL: When mounting to a wall with wood siding exterior, measure the spacing between the studs and then measure the corresponding locations on the awning frame. My awning is 8.2' wide. This is 96". The spacing between the wall studs is 16" on center. Therefore, I was able to mount the mounting brackets 6 studs apart (16" x 6 =96"). However, once I had mounted the brackets on the studs, I discovered that the distance to the outside edges of the mounting brackets was slightly wider than maximum width of the awning frame. Therefore, I had to grind about 1/4" off the outside edges of the mounting brackets in order to fit the frame into the brackets. After that, all is well. NOTE: The instructions are not translated into English very well. Some of the instructions are confusing and some are comical. Many of the steps refer to hex head bolts as "screws" and in one case instruct the user to tighten the hex head bolt with a "screwdriver" rather than a wrench or socket. Assembly requires both 14mm and 17 mm wrenches or sockets. In one instance the instructions described a step and then stated something like "Now you are satisfied". I think they were trying to instruct the user to adjust something to the desired position. ... show more

So instructions straight trash. Super easy to assemble with no instructions. But if u mess up early in the install u will be putting it up and taking it down. There are no arrows that indicate what goes where left right up or down. Once u start this will be the issue but once itโ€™s up and installed for that price. Looks feels and moves like a rolls Royce. Great buy took 2-3hours to completely install and adjust. Really happy with this awning. Highly recommend but be warned you will install it multiple times and bring it down to reconfigure. ... show more

So far so good. The best thing of this owning is that most of the parts are pre-assembled, which saving me lots of work! The price is reasonable compared with other similar products. You need to measure the wall exactly before drilling the holes, then fastened brackets with the right wrench. We purchased this to replace a worn-out one installed years ago. I was very impressed with the high quality of the product and I can tell you the mechanical features and what it takes to install it was superior. It looks great, works great and I am so happy I purchased it. Frankly, it is one of my best purchases. This is an amazing easy to install canopy! Looks great over my side box an provides the perfect shade. Well worth the money! My handyman was so impressed with it he plans to buy one for his house. Awning is attractive and compliments look of my house. Easily retracted when not in use. Haven't had it long enough to report on color fade or durability.     • Good product for the price
The awning went up fairly easy, but I did have to move the brackets because they can only be installed in one location which created a problem with the stud location which then meant a problem with the awning location. In the end it all worked out and looks good.
