Finally got around to doing a review for this umbrella. I purchased this umbrella in March 2021 and either we have been very lucky or this is actually a decent umbrella. It’s up on our deck near the pool from mid spring until mid to late fall in central Illinois, it gets put away during the winter. From day one it has been easy to use and has worked perfectly with two different patio sets. We have the tan colored one and it has not faded too bad for being over 5 years old. Still works great and has held up well, even the solar lights still work (may not be as bright as they once were but still put off enough light to see when dark out). It’s been out in some good storms and we weren’t always good about folding it down when we should but it has taken the beatings pretty well. It is a little wobbly at the tilt point now and a couple of small holes in the fabric at some of the pinch points, but still keeps the water off us. But all in all it has held up well for us. Alas as I am writing this we have decided to order a new one of the exact same one(it’s even $5.00 cheaper) and I hope it lasts as well as this one did. Will definitely report back with my findings on this new one.

This is the second time we bought this umbrella the first was 4 years ago when we purchased the blue one, after spending 6 months a year on our deck it needed to be replaced mainly due to a desire for a new red color from my wife. It is easy to use, is the perfect size for our 6 person table, and the ability to adjust the tilt based on the sun is helpful. The lights are just bright enough to be helpful but not distracting when relaxing on the deck at night.

Great umbrella and the solar lights are a nice upgrade. They are not super bright which I appreciate since I don’t want to attract too many bugs. Reasonably priced. I purchased 3. 2 for my pier so I can update later to see how they hold up. It was pretty windy yesterday and they were holding up well and felt very stable. I did not have them opened. One solar panel was broken when received. They sent a replacement right away and I did not have to wait until they received the old one back. I appreciated that. Especially since the box was damaged the first time. I will definitely purchase again.

Easy to assemble. I was worried about the package as the delivery guy just threw it down on our paved patio, but it's packed securely and was fine. Fabric is a little thinner than other umbrellas I've purchased, more silky and thinner vs a thick canvas. Other reviews say it holds up to the weather, so hopefully thet is the case. Lights look great, are a cool white and not too bright, not meant to light up the table below so you can read or anything, just some dim lighting so you aren't sitting in the dark. When put together it is heavy, so if you have trouble lifting heavy things, may be a problem for you to lift into a patio table.

We love our new umbrella! It comes in many colors and love the little solar lights. You just open the box and pull out the umbrella and just screw on the bottom pole and you are ready to go. We bought another brand and had to fully put it together. And it was missing a piece that the company had us jump threw so many hoops just to have them send us the missing piece, which they didn't. We have bought many Blissun umbrellas in the past as we live in a windy place, and if you don't close them, they fly away! But we fell for the the special pricing of the other brand.

Bought this Blissun 9 ft solar umbrella in Cerulean for our backyard in DFW – we get intense sun here, so good shade plus evening lights was a must. The color bring the beach pool side: a vibrant yet soft blue-green (like a tropical ocean teal) that pops against our patio without being overwhelming. It looks premium in daylight and even better at night. What I like: • The 32 solar LEDs (4 per rib) work great! They charge up nicely with the Texas sun and the warm glow lights up the table perfectly for dinners or hanging out after sunset. No cords, no hassle – just flip the switch on the pole. Lights stay on for hours. • Easy to use: Smooth crank to open/close, and the push-button tilt works great for following the sun across our deck. Setup was simple. • Decent shade and UV protection from the vented polyester canopy – blocks the harsh high-altitude rays without trapping too much heat. • Great value – affordable with the built-in lights and sturdy iron ribs (8 of them) that feel solid for the price. • Holds up in moderate winds if closed properly; we’ve had some gusty afternoons and it’s been fine when tied down. A few drawbacks: • No base included (common complaint) – get a heavy one for stability in Texas winds. Mine tips a bit in stronger breezes without it, there is a little play in the hole of the table. • Fabric is lightweight polyester – provides good shade. I’ll have report later on how it holds up to Texas weather. • Crank can feel a little stiff initially, but it’s solid. Overall, this is a winner for the money if you’re after shade by day and cozy ambiance by night. The Cerulean color adds a fun vibe to our space, and the solar lights make evenings way more enjoyable. I recommend pairing with a solid base and closing it in bad weather. Worth it!

I already had a patio umbrella that was heavier and stronger than this one, but this umbrella's solar lights and the color choice were too tempting. The stronger, non-lit umbrella was stored as a backup. When I first set it up, it was very heavy and tall, and I could barely lift it up to put it through the hole in the patio table and place it in its stand. A friend helped me to tilt the upper part of it because I wasn't strong enough to do that (probably because I'm an older lady with diminishing strength). Its crank was easy enough for me to open and close the umbrella, and the lights were beautiful at night... the first few times I used it. Unfortunately, I left the umbrella open when shopping one day, and while the winds had been non-existent that day and a couple of days prior, they suddenly picked up while I was gone for a few hours. I came home to the umbrella on the ground, along with the log-style table it had been inserted into, which was so heavy that I had to pay a friend to assemble and place for me. After I struggled to remove the umbrella from the sideways table, I saw that the plastic ring that kept both sections of the pole together in a straight line had been shattered. I only found one big piece of it. I wish that the ring hadn't been such a thin piece of plastic. The umbrella may have survived, and I may have been able to replace it if it had only cracked or split into two pieces. As-is, the lights do work, but I don't think I can keep it upright. And even if I could return it, I wouldn't. It's just too heavy. (photos posted soon)
