Used steadily for about two weeks now. Setup was easy, filled to about 100 lbs. Only small complaint is the fitness straps, I wish the first set of handles were closer to the bag, too much slack limits control of the bag when performing movements.     • My Favourite Heavy Bag. Perfect for Brittle Hands!

I've been boxing since age 5 and I'm now a month shy of turning 35. I have owned every type of bag the market has to offer almost (including several water bags) but this air/ water combination is a genius idea! It provides an entirely different feel than any other bag I've ever used. My hands have always been a bit calcium deficient and over the years I've broken both hands in countless places countless times. I never thought it was possible for me to hit a heavy bag bare handed (I don't train like this, but I'm just illustrating a point). When hung with rope or a good tow strap... this bag is the most quiet bag I've ever owned. Even with the give in the bag while being punched, it still has the mass to give you a proper work out and makes you throw your punches correctly. The foam wrap is perfect for giving you a solid amount of feedback. It's an incredible deal that it's even included! The bag in itself is an incredible deal so the fact that so many extras are included... it's simply amazing! I purchased this in June of 2022 so the handwraps included are longer and I must say they are excellent quality! The jump rope is fantastic as well! I've heard people say it's too long... but I believe these are beginners who don't know that you adjust the rope by unscrewing the ends and tieing the excess off. I use boxing gloves as part of my training so I don't use the included bag gloves but I must say, after trying them on, that they're quality as well! Plenty of padding while still allowing for easy opening and closing of the hands. I don't think they include the electric pump anymore after improving the bag, increasing hand wrap length and other things. They give you a great manual pump that is large in size and includes removable stand pieces and multiple nozzle fittings. It works fantastic and is useful for many things. They even include a sink adapter with a large amount of hose relatively. They even include a patch kit (though idk how anyone would puncture this). I can't empathise how amazing all of this is considering how many other, more expensive and inferior products, give you nothing or maybe 1-2 small things like a hose adapter and or a small bit of hanging chain. Don't hesitate on buying the best heavy bag on the market! I wish I found this a long time ago! ... show more

It is surprisingly durable, for the price point. The bladder and putter shell can stand a lot of abuse. No sign of wear n tear and I’ve had this thing for 2 years with moderate use. No regrets here. Highly recommended.

    • This is a very underrated heavy bag.

I bought and used a lot of varying types of heavy bags and I think this is a very underrated heavy bag. This bag has a unique design in the way that it allows you to adjust the weight, you can fill the amount of water you want and then fill the gaps with air, so you have no sagging points. I like to fill the bag to 120lbs and only needs a little air to fill the gaps and it still has a nice amount of give to absorb heavy shots (I am a heavy weight with good punching power). I like this water bag over other water bags because the shape is still like that of a traditional heavy bag, it has no curvature (like the aquabag) and it allows you to throw good hooks that land flat. I also like its short and compact 3ft design, with that being said, I like to hang this bag where the bottom is just a tad bit higher than my torsos because this allows me to practice uppercuts to the body as well. The material is nice too, compared to Everlast aquabag, it has more give and just feels overall nicer. I've seen complaints about its durability, but I don't see how you can hurt this bag unless you leave it outside for extended periods of time or in a damp and dinghy basement. The only concern for me would be perhaps the stitching eventually getting weak and breaking. Overall, this bag is great. It has a good weight to practice power punching with just the right amount of give and I think it being 3ft gives it a lot of versatility to practice a lot of punches if you hang it a bit high. If this company would make a 140-150lbs 3½-4 ft bag, with tighter stitching, I think they would have a chance of making the best heavy bag on the market. ... show more

Covid-19 has my gym closed for an undetermined amount of time. So, I needed to pick up some equipment to continue training my amateur fighters (although no tournaments right now) and keep their skills up and continue working out and keeping my skills up as well. So after doing some good research and taking a leap of faith I decided on the MaxXmma bag. The reviews were a bit mixed but I decided to take my chances and boy I'm glad I did. The first thing I noticed was the way the bag dissipated the energy(punch) once transferred(hit) to the bag. The bag can be hit with maximum force with very little movement. The water better simulates a real person. The second thing I noticed was that my fighters were not complaining of their hands hurting after hitting the bag for 8 straights rounds. Also it is a 4 in one bag which is a huge bonus. The straps seem to be sturdy with no sign of getting weak or ripping or breaking. The otter shell is very durable yet easy on the hands and the 90 lbs I put in this bag feels so much heavier than a sand or fabric bag with the same weight. I think this bag really wins in the storage department if you need to take it down and store it... It takes up very little space. This bag is a winner so far so so good I will update this review and let you know how I feel about the bag over a long duration of time.
