Love this umbrella. It is well made and has a very functional, yet graceful design. The arching offset post looks beautiful and adjusts easily. We looked at quite a few other umbrellas, and this one is easily one of the best looking. The umbrella fabric is heavy gauge and can be replaced if it becomes worn or faded. Like most all umbrellas, it should not be open during strong winds, used correctly this umbrella is strong and will last. I had a problem with the delivery, carton 1 of 2 had opened during shipment resulting in missing parts and damage to the umbrella post. I contacted the seller and they responded very quickly. They arranged to send a replacement right away and it arrived 4 days later! They were polite, professional, and responsive, turning what could have been a bad experience into a great experience. I love my new umbrella!! The offset bar is so much more attractive than a traditional middle bar! It easily slides up and down for different placement of the umbrella. Not only does it add beauty to your patio it is extremely sturdy and easy to move if needed. The base has two wheels on one side to tip and move if needed! It is definitely worth the price, which is very affordable. The only negative, which would only be if you had a very small space you were putting it, would be that the base is quite large so make sure you have room on your patio where you decide to place it. I have seen some reviews where they say it sways to much. Make sure when you crank it open the point of the umbrella goes directly into the round piece. You will understand when you see it opening, makes a big difference in the swaying of it! I would highly recommend if thinking about purchasing!!!! ... show more

Update (Sep '25) Looks like a 5 year life (minimal use). As others have reported the pin where the umbrella attaches to the arm just fell out. This is factory installed and nothing in the instructions suggests any maintenance. We have been diligent about checking and tightening screws each season. No way to get replacement parts so we will try and find something that will work to finish the season. The cord is beginning to fray so not sure it can be trusted. We had been very happy with the umbrella, but this failure was scary and with the limited use we would have expected it to last long. Proceed with caution, it is a nice umbrella but probably needs to be checked frequently for loose screws. We are into our 4th summer season with this umbrella and couldn’t be happier. The first couple years we stored in the winter but last year we used the cover (purchased separately) and left it on the deck and no issues. We filled the base with water and it stays steady fully opened/extended even with a stiff breeze 8+ mph, on occasion with a strong gust the base will walk slightly but that is rare. Would highly recommend this umbrella, reasonably priced and a good value. ... show more

Do not buy this umbrella. The handle mechanism unwinds on its own, causing the canopy to collapse without warning. This is not a minor inconvenience, it is a safety hazard. The umbrella is also unstable so a light breeze will shift the shade coverage. I contacted the seller over ten times. Their best offer was a 10% refund on a product that does not function. They refused to cover any costs associated with their defective product, despite it carrying a warranty. I paid $60 for professional assembly and $60 for sand to stabilize the base, as the product requires. When I tried to resolve this through Amazon, I was told to return the item, which would cost me another $120 to disassemble and dispose of the sand. So a defective product that cost me $120 to set up would cost me another $120 to return. Amazon closed the claim anyway. The seller is unresponsive, the product is unsafe, and there is no accountability anywhere in this process. I have video of the defect if anyone at Amazon ever wants to actually look at it. Save yourself the headache and buy from a brand that stands behind what they sell. ... show more

Box was missing the handle, customer service was very responsive and worked with me to get the missing part. Thank you! Took half a day for me and a friend to assemble. Everything new and of good quality. General usage, I'm really hoping it gets easier but I found it nearly impossible to crank the umbrella open very tight. The base is very heavy filled, you won't be able to move the umbrella around with the sun it also doesn't rotate, just one spot so you'll have to move your chairs with the shadow. If you're looking for full shade, good for 1 person. With two someone will be in partial sun. Look at the photo, the lounger is the only furniture in shade. Looks nice. ... show more

I was put off a bit by the negative reviews, but after further investigation, I purchased the product. I will attempt to address some of the negative comments. 1. This is an 11' umbrella, think of it as a sail. Any wind will apply force to the stand. If you did not purchase the base, and fill it with 200+ lbs. of gravel/sand/water, it will tip over. Purchase the umbrella with the base! 2. Some people complained about the base leaking, I would suggest using just gravel/sand, not water. There are 2 openings to add gravel/sand/water. Use the cone shaped cover (it covers where the stand bolts into the base) as a funnel. Pour in the gravel/sand, stopping to distribute the gravel/sand inside the base with your hand. Add a 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand to each side, and then pick up the base on the wheel side allowing the gravel/sand to slide into the "nose" of the base. Add another 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand through each opening. Again stopping to distribute the sand inside the base with your hand. Vacuum the opening thoroughly as the caps will cross thread easily. 3. The video shows that the assembled umbrella can be rolled around easily: only if the base is empty. Give careful consideration to where you want the umbrella to be. It can be moved, but not easily, and I would only move it by the base. There is a grab area on "nose of the base, I only use that. 4. The umbrella will sway in the wind. This is not a parasol umbrella with a rigid shaft running all the way up. A cantilever umbrella needs to articulate in order to open, and be adjusted. If the wind is severe enough to be a problem, you wouldn't have a regular/parasol umbrella up either. The umbrella assembles easily, there were no broken, or missing parts. One of the nice things about this umbrella is that the base is narrow, and somewhat mobile. Most cantilever umbrella bases are 36" or more per side, and I have not seen any others that are mobile. The only minus is the caps on the base easily cross threading. I have no problem recommending this product. ... show more
