Item seems well made and works as expected. I'm using it on a regular 120V outlet on the 10 amp setting, and it charges faster than I thought it would - not fast, but just enough. It's easy to use, and after one week I haven't had the slightest problem with it. The only thing is that the holes for mounting the hose hanger on the wall don't go all the way through the hanger, so you can't actually screw it in. I hung two of the holes on nails and screwed in the third one, which did go all the way through.

I bought this 3 years ago and realized I never left a review. Here we go: 1) Consistent and reliable quality after the 3 years of owning it. 2) Charging speed is MUCH faster than the one that came with my VW ID4. Charges about 1.5x as fast as the stock charger. 3) Durability has been excellent and have not noticed any degrading at all. 4) Simple 110 plug and charge requires no special electrical work. 5) Cheaper than the VW one and the quality and function is FAR better.

This charger is perfect for my needs because I use it in my garage or can take it with me on trips. It is fast and works perfectly on my Toyota Prius prime. I like the fact that the cable reaches pretty much anywhere in my garage if I have two cars in it. I’ve used it for a number of charges and like the fact that it has a built-in LCD screen that gives me readouts for current charging rate, voltage, charging time and other parameters. It only took me a few minutes to set it up and I think it’s a good value for the money. I also liked the two year quality assurance service that is provided. I would recommend this device to anyone interested in a reasonably priced 240 V Level 2 charger that’s designed for use with a J1772 standard connector and in my case a NEMA 14–50 plug.

We got this charger and when about to plug it in, we realized the wire connectors were not properly installed at both ends if the unit!. These hold the wire securely as it enters or exits the control unit. In any electrical assembly these connectors keep wire from being pulled apart from outside strss on the wires. Secure connections are crucial. This is a 110 to 240 volt unit and was not safe. If under stress, it can be a shock and fire hazard. So we called Amazon who sent us the QR code to take it to UPS. And Amazon sent us another unit 2 days later. Guess what? While at one end it WAS correctly assembled, at the other end, the wire connector was similarly NOT screwed together on the inside connection nut! With a bit if twisting it seems we got the inside nut to catch one thread of the connector. It is slightly secured but not safely done. Any electrical QC would reject this improperly assembled product as unsafe. We needed the charger 2 days ago so we kept this one and it was only messed up at one end. I know how to fix it risking opening the unit to correctly attach the wire connectors. From observing the sloppy assembly of BOTH umits, it tells me that the manufacturer does shoddy work. Also it was clear from talking to customer service, that Amazon has no idea how or why this product is defective, they will be of no help if they just send you another defective product. Therefore I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS PRODUCT!

This is my first car charger so I really didn’t know what to expect but admit I did have high hopes and this charger met every one of them. Starting with it having a wide range of amps to choose from and the option of using the 110/120 home outlet & the 220 outlet was a huge bonus. The instructions were so simple I really thought that I was missing something but I wasn’t. You plug it in, you hold the amp choice button for a few seconds, let go, press it again to select the amperage you want, let go and voilà it’s charging perfectly! I had a Hyundai Kona Electric but now have a Kia Niro and this unit fits perfectly for both. The Hyundai & Kia have an option for two different types of charging plugs. This one, which is just a single round plug, and one that has the round unit plus another smaller unit with two sockets underneath. When I first opened it I thought it wasn’t going to fit but it works and fits perfectly. The one note that I do think I need to make for anyone else that’s new to charging your car, is that you cannot remove the plug while it’s still charging. That freaked me out at first LOL but I had the idea to turn off the charger and unplug it and then try again and that worked. So I do highly recommend this unit just be sure that it’s compatible with your car. I’ve uploaded 2 photos of what the plug looks like so that you can see it clearly.

I knocked off one star because it isn't easy to change amperage. I try to change the amperage and the charger will say "Successful", but the amperage hasn't changed. it takes me several attempts to actually change the amperage. Other than that, the charger is great. I finally put the charger on 10 amps and I have left it at that setting. If I need the car the next day, I charge at 240 volts. Otherwise I charge at 120 volts. No problems there. The charger shows the elapsed time and the kilowatt hours, but those numbers go back to zero as soon as I disconnect the charger from the car. It would be nice if those values were preserved until the charger itself was unplugged. All in all, very happy with this product.
