As one who has a very healthy respect for electricity I am very pleased with this EV charger for my Tesla Y. Being new to the Tesla world I wasn’t sure what all might be needed and certainly want to give the batteries the best care so it was important to find a good quality charger at a price that wouldn’t break the bank. The cord on this charger is heavy duty as necessary for carrying such amperage but for my need could be 2 feet longer and be perfect. It works so no big deal. I would have like a little more on the instruction side of things but it was fairly easy to get going. The cord has a strong Velcro strap to wrap the coiled cord making it compact for travel. It has multiple plug ends to allow for whatever might be needed. There is a coupon at this time for $30 off making it most affordable.

Although the product description suggests that this can be used as a home EV charger I'm thinking it's better suited as a portable charger. There's nothing wrong with it at all though it is somewhat basic. At this price point, you pretty much know what you're getting into and shouldn't expect world class performance. It's a basic Level 1 & 2 16A charger that uses a NEMA 6-20 plug. Also included is a NEMA 5-15 adapter. The charging cable is 20 feet which isn't bad at this level. I've seen quite a few entry level chargers that expect you to make do with a 16 foot cable. It offers all of the built in protections that you expect from a quality EV charger. This includes IP66 waterproof rating and the ability to withstand temperatures up to 130 F/54C and as low as -22F/-30C. It has plenty of built in protections including short circuit, overheat, overcurrent, etc. It feels very well made, particularly compared against other chargers at the price point. It's not the fastest charger but gets the job done at does so at a nice value price point. Highly recommended!

This portable Tesla charger is one of those things you don’t think you need until you really do. It’s compact enough to keep in the trunk without taking up much space, and it provides solid peace of mind when traveling, especially to areas without many charging stations. Plugging into a standard outlet isn’t the fastest, but in an emergency, it’s a lifesaver. If you don’t already have a hardwired charger at home, this is a great backup or even a primary option if you’re patient. Definitely a must-have for any Tesla owner.

Perfect if you have any EV. The portability and continued support for all connectors makes this a no brainer. If you have a connection in your garage which support 220V, this can function at home or on the move to Airbnbs/RV parks. It works without issues, not heating up on extended use .

It charges over regular 110V. I do have Tesla fast charger, but it cost me over $1k to route 240V from the back of the house main circuit board to front garage. Of course, this one charges in slow rate compared to Tesla charger, but when you have 3 Tesla at home, I need all the charging ability possible. Works fine overnight, and if I need, I can swith to Tesla fast charger. You can also carry this one around for trip to your relatives overnight.

The charger interacts with the Tesla app for adjusting charge rate 5 - 16 amp (3.8 Kwh). This looks like the Tesla mobile charger, but is rated at half the max power. Leaving the charger in place when not in use is super convenient. The mounting holes allows for permeant installation. The unit can get a bit wet, but needs shelter from direct rain.

It expenses over regular 110V. I do have Tesla fast charger, but it fee me over to path 240V from the returned of the house major circuit board to the front garage. This charger works superb, and quicker than the VW app counseled. I did want to read through the instructions a piece bit for initial use but they are quite truthful. as soon as I did plug it in, the VW app counseled it would entire the charging session in a little over eleven hours. It completed the price in just over nine hours that is a win in my e-book. So it charged at a notable charge in my opinion. while the charger is ideal for low-mileage drivers or emergency use, it is able to now not be sufficient for high-mileage Tesla proprietors who want faster every day charging. in contrast to smart home chargers, it lacks wifi integration, which means no Tesla app manipulate or some distance flung tracking. additionally, it requires a NEMA 6-20 outlet for maximum wonderful overall performance, which isn’t modern-day in maximum homes. For people who force lengthy distances or plan long-term EV possession, making an investment in a higher output degree 2 charger is a better choice. but, as a portable, easy-to-use solution, this charger stays a solid alternative for lots Tesla drivers. Leaving the charger in location when not in use is super convenient. The mounting holes allows for permeant set up. The unit can get a chunk moist, however needs shelter from direct rain.
