This pair of Hearing Aids is one of the better ones I've tried. They look more like bluetooth headsets rather than old school hearing aids, so this won't make you look older than you already are. These hearing aids come with built-in rechargeable batteries. They automatically recharge when you put them back in its case. The case itself has a USB-C port for charging. It comes with wax guards, multiple sized ear domes, user manual, cleaning brush/tool, and USB-C charging cable. This has built-in Bluetooth so you can use it with a convenient Elehear smart app for Android or iOS devices. This hearing aid can also be used as a traditional bluetooth headset...allowing you to listen to music, pod casts, etc from your bluetooth paired mobile device.

This is the second pair of Elehears I've tried, and I think I'm due for real hearing aids. First off, the quality of the packaging and the case are top notch. The hearing aids themselves feel nice in the hand, and although they are light, they are a little bigger than I'd hoped. The problem with these and the high price point is the sound is horrible. I've not had prescribed "real" hearing aids to compare to, so I might be in for a world of disappointment, but the sound is very tinny and it sounds like I'm in a tunnel and the sound is echoing in from a distance. I can hear with my own ear and then a millisecond later, I hear the sound through the hearing aid. It is very discomforting. The app downloaded fine, and I was able to get them synced through the Bluetooth easily enough. Once I was into the ap, I tried to adjust some of the settings to see if I could get rid of the echo. The problem though is the ap kept muting the hearing aids like ever 45 to 60 seconds, and the app would tell me to unmute the hearing aids. I try to find the mute setting and they'd mysteriously come back on, and the warning would go away. The feedback would return and the whole ordeal would happen again. I give this about 10 minutes of tinkering and turning them off and on again, and restarting the app. Nothing changed. For the $400 price point, I cannot recommend this product. I am thankful for the opportunity to review these while in the Vine program.

If you would like to see my detailed review of the very similar ELEHEAR “Beyond” model, it can be found by searching in Amazon for B0DPQG22YN which is the Amazon ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number). My review for the similar “Starlight” model is ASIN B0F53SM5HX and can be found the same way. The only significant possible difference I could determine was the “Starlight” model did not list have 4 listening modes. This model doesn’t mention it in the listing and I did not see it in the include User Manual, but it appears the modes may be set using the app. To summarize some key points about all 3 “Beyond” models (details are in the above referenced reviews) starting with the one but very big issue for me: CONS - THE APP: I do not like when an app is needed to be able to use all the features of a device. My 2 major concerns are with regard to my personal information security AND the app may be discontinued, the company may abandon the app, the company may go out of business, etc. NOTE the app indicates personal information is not shared with 3rd parties. However, within the app it states the company MAY share personal information with 3rd parties. I reviewed other pairs of hearing aids recently (one pair today) that had apps that could be used without giving any personal information and I did use it. Again, this app requires providing personal information. Here are the many great features that CANNOT be used without the app (per the online app description and the Amazon listing).: ◦ 4 Scene modes (different situations)…which brings up the MAJOR POSSIBLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE the “Starlight”, this model and the “Beyond” model. ◦ Fine-tune frequencies ◦ Personal profile ◦ Tinnitus masking (which appears to include nice, nature sounds scenarios) ◦ Ability to adjust gain levels for unique hearing situations ◦ Auto-Play Translation ◦ Speech Enhance ◦ Auto Enhance ◦ Frequency adjustment ◦ Sound directionality ◦ Environmental profiles □ This model DOES indicate having the 4 Scene modes for better hearing in different situations in their listing or in the provided user manual. It appears the app is needed to use these modes as I did not see any directions on this in the User Manual or in the listing. PROS ◦ THESE ARE TRUE FDA CLASSIFIED HEARING AIDS: (Proof is in my other review) ◦ SOUND QUALITY: Very good sound quality; near but not quite what I consider to be close to life-like. ◦ NO FEEDBACK: Meaning I experienced NO squealing / screeching (see TIPS in my other review) ◦ NOISE REDUCTION: Some initial very low sounds after which the noise cancellation worked fine. ◦ CONTROLS: Each aid has one toggle control button BUT apparently no ability to use the 4 modes ◦ BLUETOOTH: Easy to connect and worked very well. ◦ BATTERY: The same: 2.5-hour charge = 2.5 hrs. use, and case enables 4 more charges (100 hrs. total). ◦ WEARING THE AIDS: Good fit, comfortable, almost “invisible”. INCLUDED: The 2 hearing aids come with a compact sized charging / storage case, 9 pair of silicone ear tips, a USB charging cord, cleaning brush / tools, wax cleaning tool, and instructions. OVERALL: These FDA classified hearing aids are near the top of the many hearing aids I have tried and reviewed with quite a few very good features, and solid sound quality. There are devices I will use that have an app to use many of the features provided and don’t require my personal information to be used. Personally, I opt for devices that do not require an app or have an app that can be used without registration. However, for those that are comfortable using apps of this nature, these are worth consideration (just under $400 US at the time of this review). A final note: if considering these mostly very nice hearing aids (and you are fine using their app), I recommend contacting the seller (“ELEHEAR”) to learn if Scene modes are available without using the app (I tried unsuccessfully to use the control buttons in various ways) before making a decision.

These aids just arrived and I am so impressed. Esthetically, the packaging and style is very high-end and sturdy, making it feel like unboxing an A*ppl3 product. I don't have professional hearing aids to compare them with, so I'm not sure how they'd fare in a competition, but they work really, really well. I love the fact that they're rechargeable and I won't need to fiddle with tiny batteries. The only thing I'd say to be aware of is that they're conspicuous ~ meaning, they don't disappear like doctor-prescribed hearing aids. They're not quite as big as ear buds, but not as camouflaged as typical hearing aids. Still, really happy with these and the price is right for something of such quality.
