We buy these for my mom. She has poor eyesight and arthritis in her hands but could still use these batteries by herself until they cha ged the packaging. Now the tabs are shorter and arranged in a circular pattern in a hard to remove configuration. Research showed this to be due to a child proofing requirement. Well, now pity the poor older person who has to ask for help with one more frustratingly packaged necessity. The picture still shows the old packaging, don’t be fooled, you won’t get that now.

I think these batteries do not last quite as long as Energizer, but You can open the package without ruining every pair of scissors in the house. Not many old people with hearing aids, and arthritic hands can wrestle their way into the insane packaging that Energizer decided to use. Most of the elderly do not need child proof packaging. Those who are taking care of young children know how to keep batteries away from children. What is the age of the majority of your buyers. Thank you Duracell for meeting our needs!

Add my name to the List of Negative Reviews!!! OK, so I have been wearing hearing aids for over 50 years. Yes 50 years--not a typo--I lost over 50% of my hearing in a car accident when I was only 16! So I am no stranger to hearing aids or hearing aid batteries. Previously, I bought hearing aid batteries in whatever store I happened to be in when I realized I was going to be needing them. However, after the last two purchases of another name brand with the ridiculous circular wheel of "bank vault plastic" that needs to be cut with scissors (make that more like a chain saw), I vowed never to purchase that brand again. So onto Amazon and "Oh Joy" they have the "old style" in the little snap open plastic cases. WRONG!!! The picture this seller is showing is not what you get. You get the dreaded "bank vault" plastic cases that must be cut with scissors. Unfortunately for me, I had no other batteries at home so I kept these and tried to pry them open as best as possible. Now for the best surprise! They are "Duracell" -- the premium brand -- but so far 5 of the 16 batteries either do not work at all or die is less than 2-5 minutes after insertion. The one I am wearing now seems to be holding but I am not holding my breath for how long it will last. Two Points to take away from this review -- the seller has not updated his listing to show new packaging and the batteries he does send out in the "new" packaging are either defective or out-of-date. I don't know the expiration date of these since the first battery I used was just fine and I took the dreaded circular trays off the main card for easier storage. This seller needs to update his listing and refund/replace all the users he has deceived. Will it happen?? Judging from all the other negative reviews, a snowball has a better chance of not melting in hell than you or I do of getting any kind of refund/replacement from the seller.

The batteries work fine. But the packaging that has then in a circle is terribly difficult to work with. The picture on the front shows that you need scissors to cut out the battery. Well, it's like 3 levels of hell to succeed in removing these tiny things, and they can easily fall out while doing this. The plastic box packaging is SO much easier

The product itself is fine but what is pictured is NOT what we got. We got the new round packaging which is what we were trying to avoid. They changed the packaging to make it kid protective but older folks with arthritis now have a hard time opening...and once open, kids can get it so the change is stupid and because your picture is showing the old packaging, so we ordered 4.
