This is the 2nd time purchasing this over a two year period. My o rings had cracked on the first but that was my fault for maint failure. The second one had a leak in the cap. But I think I messed that up too somehow. But all in all works fine just lube you o rings during storage.

    • Wrong o-rings and intex 1.5 inch house won't thread on, too small.

The 1.5 inch side does not fit standard intex 1.5 hose, its too small. It works i guess as its a vacuum on this side but it would blow right off if pressure was on it or if someone pulls on it, the 1.5 would slide right off. Also the o-rings are way too big and the recess isnt deep enough so when sliding the hose on, the oring rolls up and won't stay in place. This can all be over looked but, the true intex plunger valve is like 3 more bucks and works flawlessly. ... show more

I ordered this part to make changing the filter on my 16x48 pool easier since it this piece has a shut off. It was easy to switch out from the old one, the seals do not leak and fit the hoses.
