I bought these for my 85-year-old mother. We’ve previously bought prescription hearing aids, but she struggled putting them on and isn’t tech savvy so couldn’t use the phone app that comes with them. We’ve also tried other OTC devices, but those didn’t work out for various reasons. One brand she wouldn’t remember to turn off so the batteries would be dead every other day; another seemed to work, but then the product suddenly stopped working (poor quality); another had excessive whistling; and another just looked ugly. Then we found these, and we’ve been very happy with them so far. First off, they look nice. They look like air pods and not hearing aids, so she doesn’t feel self-conscience wearing them. They are very comfortable and don’t cause her ear to itch because they don’t insert into the ear cavity. She can put them on and take them off with ease (which is important because this can be difficult for the elderly). They auto turn on and off as soon as you put them in/take them out of the charging case – I love this feature! It’s easy to adjust the volume (and there are some nice videos online that show you how to use these in case you don’t like to read instructions). My mom primarily uses them for watching TV and she says that they work great – she can hear the voices loud and clear and she hasn’t experienced any whistling (we’ve had them for ~3 months so far). I wasn’t sure what to expect with these given the low price point, but I’m extremely happy I bought these. Such a great value and most importantly my mom has hearing aids that she likes! I bought these for my wife whose suffering from hearing loss. This is the third hearing aid she's she's had and is by far the best one. Her 1st one cost $600.00 and gave her nothing but trouble. They squealed in her ears intermittently, amplified all the wrong sounds and then broke in less than a year. Then I got her the Avantree PHA15 - OTC Hearing Amplifier Aids with Bluetooth but she disliked those almost instantly. The Bluetooth was confusing as was the 4 modes of operation, it also amplified unwanted noises and the last straw was that they kept cutting out for no reason and cutting back in. they were unnecessarily complicated. So those went back and these (DROWELL EAR Hearing Aids) were chosen and I guess the third time's a charm because this device is great! It turns on automatically when you open the case and turns back off again when you put them away. She just puts them in her ears and they work. Perfect! Simple! No squealing, no amplifying unwanted noises like pages turning or a clock ticking, and the sound is far superior to the $600.00 models. It's only the 1st day with these but she likes them very much and I have a good feeling about them. I'll come back and amend this review if anything happens to warrant it. However, so far, so good. Purchased these over a week ago as my expensive pair broke again. I have expensive behind the ear ones with that little wire that last only a few months with continual wear. I am always having to readjust them because I wear glasses and need to clean them, etc. When wearing a baseball cap, or combing, brushing my hair, same thing, the hearing aids need to come off and readjusted, and that small wire just breaks.....that seems to be the weak link. I have ordered replacement parts, fixed them myself, but I got stuck with the last parts I ordered on Amazon as it was the wrong part, even though the picture and description was the same, I was out 90 bucks. So I thought I would give these a try until I could purchase some new ones with insurance and see what my share of the cost would be. These work just as good, easier to put in, take off, and my ears produce a good amount of wax, I was always changing and cleaning my domes and replacing the wax stops, and half the time the new ones/wax stops don't want to stay in....arg. Another nice thing about these is self charging, and the nice case to leave them in..... for the money, heck yeah, If I lost these I would just get another pair and keep the thousands of dollars in my savings account. ... show more

18 months ago I was diagnosed with moderate hearing lost both ears. This started my journey search for a device under 100 bucks. I now have four and by far the Drowell is superior 1. Comfort outstanding. Lightweight and no ear itch. 2. Battery last all day. I get up at 5AM and bed at 10PM. Never miss a beat. 3. Durable. Dropped it in the toilet, dried it off, never missed a beat. 4. Easy adjust sound with a tap. 5. No ringing unless your wife comes in contact with it during your morning kiss. Beware of blue tooth and app controlled under 100 devices. If you looking for that, spend much more. The model I purchased is heavy, falls out often and Bluetooth connectivity weak. At first my dad was angry that I spent money on a hearing aid since he is still in denial at 91 years old, but after i convinced him to just try it and told him how reasonably priced it was and that it was for me to not have to scream at him all the time which was tiring he tried it . Guess what he can actually now hear me and doesnt have to have the tv blasting so loud everyone goes deaf that is near hoim. this is an awesome little gadget and really simple. cheap enough to try as an experiment too for the vain ones that want one that is hidden in the ear. this is the perfect way to show someone they need it without breaking the bank and it looks cool too, like a bluetooth device ... show more
