Amazing product for conversations at home and work but not at a party as it does not have noise cancellation. At a party or loud restaurant you would have a heard time hearing what the person in front of you is saying. Now I have bilateral Otosclerosis so that may be the problem. Also, it does not work well when listening to music while driving. You get a weird noise interference. You also have to fiddle with while putting it in your ear so you get the right tone your looking for. Fully charge last 48 hours then it needs to be recharge. It comes with 2 but I use only one and the other I keep it charging until I need it. If your looking for everyday conversation, watching movies, listening to music at home, and even watching football with a few friends then this hearing aid amplifier are AMAZING. It works better then my Starkey WI Series hearing aid that cost me a few thousands of dollars. Buy them, they are worth it. I'm getting another pair just in case they discontinue these wonderful hearing aid amplifier. ... show more

    • most amplifiers have similar problems.
I have not been able to wear even ONE for a single day. ONE of them comes on intermittently and it does not stay on long enough to hear anything. I am charging it again for the tird time to be sure it is taking a charge but I think it simply is a damaged product. The other one works okay, but not well. If I put the volume all the way up it picks up too much static but if I put it at a level of 2 or 3, I can hear it but not as well as I expected to be able to. I thin it is actually damaged too but it does function. Please tell me how i return these for a replacement. ... show more

Let me start by saying, yes, you do get what you pay for. However, for what these are, they are amazing. I have suffered from significant hearing loss from birth and it was recommended of course to get a very nice digital pair of hearing aids running somewhere around $3-6k. Most medical insurances of course will not cover hearing aids, so I have just not used anything for a very long time. Out of curiosity I tried these, and for $30 I have to say they work surprisingly well. When you put them in it does create a sort of "room" effect, I describe it as your own personal soundstage, so you hear a slight hiss as a baseline. After a few moments I do not even notice. They do amplify all sound, at the volume you want, and also (attempt) to digitally process very loud noises out, such as car doors shutting. This does make them impossible to wear if you are driving with the window down, the digital processor just can't handle that much interferance. But! Indoors, social situations, absolutely amazing. I highly recommend. Build quality is not superb, so I do not expect them to last long! Will update if they stop working soon! ... show more

My ear quit working (infection) and my hearing aid died! I got these to be able to function and they work better than I hoped. As amplifiers I give them 4 stars, really should be 3 but if you are on a budget these are amazing. When I got in my work van they screeched and I would turn them off until my destination. Video said to take off my hat but no way, it's cold in the morning! If i wanted to keep my expenses down, I could live with these. They are not hearing aides but they may work for you. My hearing aides are. 1600.00 That's a big spread. Depending on your needs, these may work. ... show more

    • Very good, easy to use at excellent cost
Having experience with one set of very expensive programmable hearing aids and a number of inexpensive amplifiers, these have easily been the best overall. (Many mishaps with lost, laundered and dog-chewed devices.) The expensive ones were good but not that good, and unaffordable to replace. What I like about these, besides the price, is the ease of use. The controls are a simple on/off switch and an up/down volume dial. The part that goes behind the ear is pretty small, unlike some others. For people with small ear canals, the ear piece fits and is very soft. Instead of a hollow plastic tube that carries sound to the earpiece, an insulated copper wire powers a speaker in the earpiece itself, which lets you bend the wire around the curvature of the ear for a tight fit. Have not used these much in noisy settings, so can't comment on that, other than that noise cancelling in previous ones was pretty ineffective. Have had these for two or three months with no problems. It is a bit challenging to seat them into the charger - you just have keep gently wiggling until they go all the way in. A light tells you when it's charging. I wonder about the durability of the copper wire if it gets bent this way and that too many times, but so far it's fine. Highly recommend. ... show more

I found these to be too difficult for an older person to use. I bought these for my 85 yr old mother to use and she couldn't operate them. The volume dial is tiny and difficult for an older person to control. She couldn't put them on herself and after a day argued that she didn't have any "hearing aides". She has now already lost one ( we were trying them one at a time so didn't lose both) so I can't return them. She couldn't put them on herself, and trying to put them on someone else is difficult and then can't tell if the volume is too high or too low. Tried them on myself and found them difficult to wear since don't stay on and do not sit snug to the ear or in the ear, so I found them uncomfortable. The amplification is not constant and seems to go off and on. When it is working everything in the room is amplified, so it is a little strange to get used to how it is supposed to work or how it works for someone that has difficulty hearing. My mother said, while I was there she thought it was helping, and she seemed to hear the television better, but she didn't want to wear them to the dining room. I didn't notice any noise cancelling capabilities while I was wearing them, so wearing them to the dining room may have gotten loud. I also found them difficult to get into the charger, and my mother couldn't do that by herself either. Perhaps these would be better if some one could take care of these themselves but for an 85 year old person that is hard of hearing and has dementia these are not a good option. ... show more

Bought these for my wife, as a back-up spare set while her $5k hearing aids are in the shop for a week. Received them the next day. Charged them, installed the silicone ear piece, and she tried them on. They work well. The volume knob is easy to adjust. The on-off switch is easy, although “N” for On and “O” for Off is not very intuitive. The earpiece fits in easily, with different sizes of silicone pieces to fit different ear sizes. For the price, these are very functional. She can hear! These do not have the comfort or connectivity features of her prescription hearing aids, but they do the job of amplifying sound so that she can hear voices and normal sounds. ... show more

    • Good product with excellent customer service
I got this for my elderly uncle and he has been using this for couple of weeks now (time to get adjusted to first hearing aid) so writing auditory feedback for him. My feedback is on build quality and customer service. The product is well built, small and feels good quality when held. This is definitely not the best hearing aid, but definitely a great value for the small fraction of the price . My uncle experienced a good boost in confidence since he started hearing better with this. He had his cove for about 2 weeks and now barely notices them in ears. Single charge goes a long way (2 days atleast with on-off use). I had a spare power bank which I gave to him. Now he can charge his aid without need of any electrical outlet. Somehow the best fit eardomes were mid long cone ones which was only one piece in the pack. I reached out customer service and they sent it out to me a extra pack of eardomes with safety belt for free. I appreciate what the quick turnaround and resolution. ... show more
