Why reinvent the wheel when they work in the first place? It may exist before the 90's, but this was my recollection of my late grandma wore back in late 90's. Cost twice as much, and the eartip was different. Maybe it was custom? Anyways, before this my dad didn't believe that he had a degrading auditory sensor. He felt everything was fine aka normal. I guess that's a good positive spirit that should be indulged. But... it was loud. He didn't change the volume of the speaker before he put this on. Boom! He realized that holy cow why are they yelling! TLDR, level 1 was quite noisy, and unhelpful in aiding audio clarity. He's on level 2, but it can be as annoying as listening to those earbud cable rubbing while jogging type of feeling. ... show more
