  • Awesome for home use!
Color: Black
For reviews complaining about their bench being "wobbly" or "shaky", I doubt they have put benches or anything not from IKEA together before. ***It is not said in the directions, but when tightening the screws, you will need to use a wrench or pliers to hold the opposite side nuts. Once you do that, this bench "magically" becomes sturdy. Weird stuff... ...If you have half a brain, you can figure it out. The bench itself is great, is sturdy (when assembled properly, and can withstand me and my pair of 30 lbs dumbbells - roughly 260 pounds altogether. It is also light and easy to move or lean up against the wall. Overall, the quality of the bench is also a bargain for the price that Amazon sells it for - NOT the 3rd parties. I picked up this bench for $60, so if you can wait for it to be in stock from Amazon, delayed gratification will help. Otherwise, you may get it for $100+ dollars, and you might as well get a $120-$150 bench at that point. Definitely pleased with this bench, but I can see where the directions might be confusing for some. ... show more

  • Decent bench
Color: Black
For those complaining that the back of the bench is wobbly, you need to replace the 12mm bolt that attaches it to the frame with a 6inch long 1/2" bolt with the corresponding washers and nut as other reviewers have mentioned. Makes a huge difference. Overall, this bench is adequate for a simple home gym setup. The metal is on the thin side and the bench is pretty light, so the advertised weight rating (500lbs total) seems questionable. I've had 435lbs on it flat (bodyweight plus 255lbs on the barbell) and it hasn't bent or failed. However, I've seen it flex/stretch with lower weights when in an inclined position (the front feet move forward). The adjustment between flat and upright is steeper than the usual 30 degrees (probably 45), and the seat doesn't adjust so expect to slide forward if using a good amount of weight. As mentioned before, it's pretty light, and makes I easy to move (it's stored upstairs and I can easily carry it up and down the stairs). It's good enough for now, but I've already started looking at replacing it with a bench with a higher weight capacity and more adjustability. This was a pandemic buy, and just bought what was available at the time. ... show more

  • Solid, sturdy and better than I hoped!
Color: Black
So I did a lot of searching and reading reviews setting up a home gym. I have a gym membership but wanted a decent setup for the days I don't feel like going in so did not want to break the bank and went with the least expensive adjustable bench I could find that still had good reviews. Again, super solid and well built. Easy to adjust and decently comfortable pad. I am 5' 8" 160 lbs. so can't say if someone a lot bigger should feel the same or not. Overall a great bench. I also highly recommend CAP weight Rack and Pull Up Bar that is in picture! * IMPORTANT NOTE: The reviews I read that stated it was not stable, wobbly or solid, I am guessing you did not put it together right. I recommend fully assembling it but not fully tightening until complete. Then put it on level floor or the area you intent to use it, then fully tighten it. I even applied a very small amount pressure onto the bench while doing so to keep it level. ... show more

  • Not the sturdiest, but good for beginners
Color: Black
I can see how this is a good and very well priced bench for beginners, but if you are using heavy weights, I would suggest looking at other options. This bench does wobble a little during use so I wouldn't recommend for using heavy weights. It is also very noisy (squeaks when using) which is not ideal in an apartment setting with neighbors below. ... show more

  • Works fine
Color: Black
I read the one-star and four-star reviews before buying this and I'm glad I did. The one-star reviews complained about wobbliness, said the chair is not very sturdy. At least one four-star review explained you have to make sure the nuts and bolts are tightened properly (duh...). I assembled the chair with that in mind. It works just fine. I am getting up there in age and do not require massive gym equipment to work out. I'm lifting reasonable weights and this chair has, so far, been exactly what I need. For the price, it's impossible to complain. ... show more

  • This product is so cheap and flimsy
Color: Black
Cheapest bench imagine-able. Cool that it does decline. Sitting in it at any angle feels unstable , shaky, and kinda scary. And I only weigh 163 lbs, 5’10”. Wish they made a better product, wouldn’t have minded paying a little more. It’s super flimsy. The bench itself (cushion part) is definitely on some type of particle board material or maybe a slight step above particle board. You can probably punch the bench in half if you really wanted to. Avoid it. Looks like a good deal but you can prob spend another $30/40/50 on a much better product. I only got this because it had decline. ... show more

  • Love this bench !!
Color: Black
I was skeptical at first cause it was under $100 but damn if this isn’t a solid piece of equipment. I’ve used about 7 times and it’s got no wiggle and hold me (245lbs) plus another 100 lbs easy. I’m sure you could bench another 200lbs before this thing would make a sound. It’s sturdy enough for your home gym. I’m not sure if wanna test it over 500lbs though just cause I workout alone and don’t wanna die if things go wrong. Lol kidding aside I thing this is a solid addition to a home gym. Ok update 20 workouts in and still loving this bench !!! ... show more
