Umbrella is well made and sturdy! Worth the money! I also ordered the weighted base. When ordering online, I am not just concerned about the quality of the product but more importantly the quality of the customer service. For instance when we received the shipment of the umbrella, the delivery service had ripped open the box in transit and the canopy had a cut in it about 2 inches long and the support post scratched in multiple places. I contacted BLUU immediately and sent pictures to report the issue. Anna was very responsive, very helpful and very prompt with replacing the canopy, the support post, and a small refund for our inconvenience due to the fact that the original was not in perfect condition when received even though the delivery service was the reason for the issue. I cannot say enough how great this company was in helping me with this replacement and very communicative. I will be buying more outdoor patio products from this company in the future. ... show more

This thing really is great. It’s expensive for sure especially if you purchase the base for it. We have not bought the umbrella cover for when it’s stored but probably will soon. As far as the product goes, we love it! It offers fantastic shade for the patio seating. It feels plenty sturdy, had it set up in no time at all, and used it often throughout the summer. Never used it much in strong wind. I highly recommend purchasing the base for it. I don’t think it would take much wind to tip it without the base. ... show more

I’ve revised my review below and why I changed my rating. There were issues as stated below and customer service did reach out to make sure I was fully satisfied. Offered a full replacement of product or compensation for not being satisfied on my issues. I chose the latter as I feel compensation was fair enough not to return the product. Customer service was very good and made sure I was happy. Besides my issues below, it is a very nice looking umbrella and very solid. Easy to assemble. Just note that you will need to purchase a base and will need the larger capacity base that holds 170+lbs water and/or sand. Those should be in the $150 +/- range. It’s a big umbrella and will need the extra weight to be sturdy in strong winds. Previous review: If you’re looking for a 10ft umbrella as advertised, look elsewhere as it is a good deal less than 10ft. Guessing if I now order 11ft, I might expect 10 1/2ft? Canopy has small holes in it. What’s up with that??? Crank to rotate has no definitive stops to keep it set in position. Sways 1-2ft in a mild wind. Reached out to customer service. Will be waiting to see what response to my issues I receive. Until then, highly disappointed over a $500 umbrella I was highly anticipating being great….. ... show more

Easy to put together, works great, plus awesome customer service! After we put it up, we noticed 4 small holes and I sent a note to the seller late that afternoon. I ordered an offset umbrella from another company and returned it because I was not happy with the quality. I did research before buying this one. BLUU came up in every search as being noted for its well made umbrellas. It was worth every cent! The quality of the fabric is impressive. Love the wood color; very rich looking. The ribs are reinforced and sturdy, as is the pole. There were a few scratches on the pole, possibly from delivery. Contacted the seller and they offered a discount. Great customer service! The product arrived in a box that was mangled. There was a dent in the pole, but, the main problem is that there were no tools, handles, parts to put together in the box. I've reached out to the manufacturer with no response as of yet. If these issues are remedied, I will upgrade my review if warranted. ***Update: I got a response from this seller and their customer service team has been very responsive and accomodating. They forwarded the missing parts and refunded half the purchase price. I haven't had a chance to get the umbrella put together yet. Once it is assembled and working I may update this review further. Unfortunately this umbrella didn’t work for my needs. It’s really well made and easy to assemble, but unless you plan to bolt/screw it onto a deck or other surface, you are going to have to also buy the weighted base stabilizer, sold separately.
