Assembly was actually pretty simple, took me <1 hour by myself. The chair arrives in 6 pieces with all the hardware separated out for easy identification. I am taking off 1 star because the cushion could be better quality and thicker/more dense. Tip: If the seat of the chair feels like it's slanted downward, you need to swap the legs around. When assembling, it LOOKS like the legs should go a certain way based on the length of the bar and where the holes align... that actually isn't correct. I considered returning the chair because I thought it was uncomfortable, then I decided to swap the legs around and now it's perfect! ... show more

Ok, so this should have been very easy to put together (it's only 6 pieces). But the holes didn't line up, even with everything bolted loosely. So It turned into a 2 person job (and one hour long). My husband and I had to use clamps to get the holes to line up. During our struggle, one of the plastic ropes started to unravel, requiring me to get out the hot glue gun. Now finished, it's a comfy chair. I like how cozy it feels, and the cushions are thick. I also bought the ottoman, and I just wish they would have 4 ties on the underside (one in each corner). The cushion moves around a lot. Bottom line, my chair hopefully had a factory defect, but I'll never know. Maybe they're all misaligned... ... show more
