First, I will say, I will say that I received this umbrella, just as the heat kicked up in the neighborhood. Installation was not as difficult as Sam would say. The only part that required to people was putting a weighted base on the cross pieces. The umbrella provides great shade, and easily turns from side to side as the sun moves across our deck. Putting it up and down is a simple process, though, if I knew must be critical, the location of the crank handle may be a little bit low for taller people. I am 5’ 6”, and the handle sits around my knee level, making it a bit difficult, but not impossible to crank up and down. As others have said, the led lights are not very bright, but they certainly are sufficient for sitting around the table where other deck lights fill out the illumination. Please note, these lights are white white! Maybe 5000-6000 kelvin, so there will be different colors of you have regular incandescent or 2500-3500 bulbs on your deck or patio. On the matter of customer service: it is excellent! My umbrella was apparently damaged on shipment, and the center post was slightly out of line when I first installed the umbrella. I contacted the seller/manufacturer and they replaced the entire umbrella within a few days (no return of the original was required, maybe because I sent pictures of the issue). I’m already thinking about getting a second one of these for the other side of the patio… perhaps next spring.

No dislikes yet. Nice product, easy to use. I was able to assemble this by myself. Also if you can, forget the weights. I screwed mine to the deck, nice and solid. Easy product to use, nice quality material. I gave mine a coating of scotch guard.

So far this umbrella is working exactly how we need it to. It lights up the area well, and shades us from the sun. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit on the side we wanted it on due to a sprinkler head being in the way, but this works for now. We had some left over stones that we placed on the feet, and it supports it well. We are going to build a wood cover to put over the stones and make it look pretty. It does shift a bit in the wind, but pretty much every umbrella is going to do that, and we just close it up when it’s not in use. It’s easy to open and close. The protective bag it comes in is a light beige - which is fine for us, since it matches our space and umbrella - but i believe it’s the same bag for all colors. It is a bit of a pain to get on and off (especially if you’re short) But we’re only going to use it if there is a bad storm or when we pack it up for the winter.

This u umbrella is well made and easier to use than most umbrellas at this price point. The best feature is the sliding bar that allows you to change the angle easily. It takes no effort compared to the others where you must use brute strength compared to this one where the mechanism makes it easy to change the angle needed to keep shade on you at any point in the day. This umbrella also comes with a cover and special Ly long “stick” to get it over the top. The only reason it isn’t getting 5 stars is because of the weight of the fabric and unsure if it will fade in the sun yet

I am very happy with my new purchase. The umbrella is built vert well. The canopy is made from a heavy duty material. I do believe that this is going to last a long time. The lights are also a plus. OH and it comes with a cove also, another plus. I am glad that I purchased two. GREAT BUY

Great news!!!! YOU can have a huge umbrella for a fraction of the price! Bad news it creaks like crazy. We live in a particularly windy area that always has a breeze if not full on gusts most days. I didn’t realize that umbrellas could creak because I’ve always had a wood pagoda umbrella from pier1 until this one. I think it is the plastic hinges that creak. I’m NOT complaining about the sturdiness of the umbrella it has withstood a lot of wind! I have been pleasantly surprised. When it does get gusty we get a good amount of squeaking from all the hinges, we just put it down rather than listen to it unfortunately. HOWEVER I started by falling in love with the cantilever umbrella at Costco that was like $900 this is a far cry from that price! if you are like me and looking for the right price oh boy have you found your match! Easy to set it up…I did it as soon as it arrived, before my husband got home, because I couldn’t wait! I thought we would drill it into our concrete but we ended up getting some weights that we filled with water to make sure we are happy with the location first and see how it hold up which it gets an A++ for…. obviously we do not leave it up when we are not outside because we get a lot of wind…..We have had it for two months and used it everyday. The solar lights work great but they are a true white not warm white.

This purchase reminded me of a lesson I've learned a long time ago: when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I was literally seconds away from buying a different brand(Purple Leaf) that was more than twice the price. Then I saw this umbrella pop up on the bottom as a suggestion. It was approximately 60% less with all the same features( solar led). Over and over, I said to myself this can't be right, but the savings was just too enticing and I abandoned my common sense to take a chance. Assembly wasn't bad but when the wind picked up a little bit, I can tell the material was not going to hold up. At first, I would immediately close it if there was any hint of wind. One day in a rush to close it due to the wind slowly picking up, it bent a little and when I quickly tried to close it, I heard a pop, and it was game over. It lasted approximately 3 months, I went cheap and I paid the price. Here's another old adage: In the end, you get what you paid for. I reached out to the seller, even asked for repair tips and/or options. It's been approximate 4 days. NO RESPONSE AT ALL.
