Just needed an easy-to-use rake for a small lawn. This rake does a very nice job of raking leaves. It’s very easy to assemble and seems sturdy. It’s a little loud due to the metal rakes but not more so than other rakes, I’d suspect. The metal tunes would picture some leaves which would then accumulate on the rake but it didn’t weigh the rake down too much nor reduce the effectiveness of raking; in fact, the accumulation of leaves in the rake reduced the rattle, jangling noise. I liked the adjustable width settings, which were easy to adjust, but ended up keeping them at full width most of the time. After raking, I would adjust to the narrowest setting to make storing easy and to keep the metal tines from possible damage. For the money this rake exceeded my expectations. ... show more

I was very disappointed with the width of widest setting that was my first impression. Then when using it (because it screws together in sections) it comes unscrewed! Most importantly I searched intentionally for an all metal rake only to realize that although the handle and tines are metal the part that hold everything together is hard plastic. I needed to be able to use it for raking and burning leaves! Plastic is not good for my purposes. It’s strong and pretty rigid as far as the tines are concerned…not sure if I like that or not. I didn't realize how good this rake would be when I got it. I knew I wanted an adjustable one to make it easier to store, but this also made it great to use for raking more hard to move things, similar to how I'd use a garden or field rake. I've used it to rake dirt, rocks, and larger sticks. When you expand it out, it works fine for leaves or lighter work. When using all handle sections together it is extra long, but you can easily take a section out to accommodate for shorter lengths needed. ... show more
