This mini awning is great for the limited space over my door. I needed something that could fit a 3-inch clearance space so my choices were limited. Fortunately, this fits and gives some protection from the rain when the door is opened or when going inside. I do wish it was a little wider to provide more shelter but it is adequate. It is also sturdy and installs fairly easily after you ensure the awning is centered over the door and the holes are level before you begin drilling. The only issue I had was after I removed the grey masking tape they provided over the screw holes, it did not look very attractive when installed seeing the attached screws and bolts. I had to spray paint the awning’s back support with the screws the same color as my side molding and then it was a great fit. If you decide to spray paint to match your molding, I would suggest applying some painter's tape to provide a straight line. Once the painter’s tape is removed, the awning will blend into the background molding. Good luck. ... show more

I had a nice, eloquent review written up regarding this awning. Amazon didn't like it and said "EDIT IT", but then deleted the thing entirely, so here I am writing a whole new review. Sorry, not putting a ton of effort into this, so I'll just put the main points: PRO's: 1. Install was pretty simple, just drill and bang in four wall anchors (unless you're inserting this into concrete or something), then screw in the four bolts, and you're pretty much done ... ...and that's about it. CON's: 1. Product is warped and not straight at all. Not sure if it was molded this way or what, but it's not due to installation, as a level and straight-edge was used to mark holes before drilling for the anchors; 2. UV blocking? Yeah, right. This provides ZERO shade whatsoever - I mean, it's clear, no surprise - but the fact they even claim this is kind of silly; 3. Very wobbly and bouncy once installed. Not sure how well it will hold up to strong winds - it'll either flop all over the place and stay attached, or it'll break right off, who knows? Can't imagine this will last more than 5 years, at most, before it turns yellow and brittle and finally cracks and falls apart; 4. Did not come with the rubber weatherstripping pieces it's supposed to include, so there's another advertised detail that didn't turn out to be legit; 5. Absolutely NOT the size that it's advertised as being. Sure, they'll gladly charge you more for a larger-sized awning option, but you're still going to get the same smaller size as the lesser-priced, smaller sizes of the same product. Basically, don't bet on getting an awning as big as it says you'll get; 6. "Easy to assemble"? There's nothing to assemble. It's one solid piece of polycarbonate. Duh. TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE PRICE. ... show more

I put this on a side garage door to shed rain away from door. It has duct tape where the screw holes are that I left for a little reinforcement . They’re some angle brackets that go where the holes are and then the screws go through to attach to the structure. These brackets add a little support for the over hang. Worked well for a overhang to my cat enclosure. Used 2 panels. My contractor bought different screws to attach them to the house roof gutters than were provided. Panels are nice lightweight material. Packaged well and arrived safely from China. Good quality.

I like the look very modern and easy to install! It did take long time to get it!!! We need this awning for our utilities box and we are still trying to fix the door but it will help stop the rain hitting the area and get wet!!! Love it!!!’
