Happily surprised to find this set has thicker poles and better fitting metal connectors than another brand I'm also using. High quality stainless steel clips are also included, not the flimsy plastic ones like in the other kit. Some similar fiberglass poles are hard to keep connected without tape etc. but these fit snugly inside the connectors without slipping out. They bend just easily enough, but hold their shape well. I quickly connected 4 poles for each hoop I needed, and slid them into the soil, done. Very easy, and sturdier than I expected. We haven't had any storms since I put these in, so I can't judge how well they will hold up in the wind, we shall see. One of the connectors, pictured, came crimped and I couldn't get a pole into it. I think I can shave down the end of a pole, or maybe straighten the connector enough to fit, just didn't need to try yet. Just a note, not a deal breaker. This set is just a couple dollars more than the similar kit I'm using, but the quality is really so much better, in my opinion it's well worth it.

These hoops can be so useful in the garden or in an unheated greenhouse during all the seasons. In the winter time they can be used underneath frost cover and plastic for some winter growth. In the spring time they can be helpful with frost cloth for some early seed starting or for an easier way to harden off plants. In the summer and fall time, they can be used under a netting material to protect plants from insects, especially the really pesky ones like cabbage moths and worms and squash vine borders. In the fall time they would also be great with frost cloth or plastic for some late fall into gardening or pest protection early fall.

These are incredibly easy to assemble. This came with instructions but the product is very intuitive. The constructed arches have great flexibility with strength and the parts are simple allowing for versatility in the size and number of hoops that you can build. The simplicity of the parts is appreciated because I can still use these functionally if any individual part gets lost or broken. Aside from freeze protection sheeting, this has everything you need to cover beds or rows of seedlings. The gorilla clips are a nice addition to the set as you would normally have to spend money buying a set of these, or clothing pins, on your own.

Got these to protect winter crops from frost while they're still young. Installation was pretty simple. Hoops are pretty flimsy but do the job. 8.5 feet can create an appreciably sized tunnel. I used my own tape-reinforced plastic sheeting with magnetic door access flaps to drape over and secure to the tunnel with good effect. It's been freezing over all week and I've so far been able to avoid the frost.
