The built-in safety sensors are a huge plus. I love knowing that the cleaning cycle automatically pauses if one of the cats jumps in, then starts again once they’ve left. It gives me peace of mind, especially since one of mine tends to be curious about moving parts. Cleaning is incredibly easy. The waste compartment holds quite a bit, so I only need to empty it every few days even with two cats. The included liners make the process quick, and the litter mat really helps reduce tracking around the house. Another thing I really appreciate is how quiet it is. It runs softly enough that it doesn’t scare the cats or disturb me at night. The first time it cleaned itself, I barely noticed it was on. Setup was simple too. The pieces fit together easily, and the instructions were clear. I even took it apart once just to see how it cleaned inside, and it was no problem putting it back together. Overall, this litter box has made my life a lot easier and my home cleaner. It does exactly what it promises, and both of my cats seem more comfortable using it. The only small thing I’d improve is having a better guide for which liner bags fit best, but that’s hardly an issue. If you’re looking for a reliable self-cleaning litter box that actually works and doesn’t make a mess, I’d highly recommend this one. It’s worth every penny.

First, we have three cats, and one of them had decided that our big, name brand Litter R***t was not a place to visit any longer. So, we spent A FRACTION of what a new one would cost and bought this unit. We do not have the "smart" features of the big unit, but we'll live with that. It runs reliably, and quietly. Setup took just a couple of minutes. It's as clean as any litter machine or box system. I love the pull-string cleaning system that closes the bag before pulling the drawer. The cats seem to like the "open air" feeling without being cooped up inside the other machine. Our three cats are getting four days use before needing a new bag and that's ok with me. At this point it's a solid five stars and if things change I'll come back and revise this review. In my opinion, this unit, at this price ( a hair over $150) is a bargain.

I wish I had known this is not suitable for cats younger than 6 months. It's printed all over the box, but nowhere on the amazon listing. I have 2 kittens, both 3 months old. You can switch it to manual mode until they're old enough, but you have to remember to go push the button to clean it and I've literally had to hold my kittens down to keep from trying to get in it while it cleans. It does have the safety feature where it will stop if it senses they get in it, but I'm not sure if they weigh enough to stop it if they got in while it was tilted all the way to the back to dump. Still a really nice litter box with easy assembly, and easy use. I'll be glad when I can switch it back to auto mode.

Before using this product, both my cats were using larger metal litter boxes. Loud, and did not hold the smell very well. These? The difference was almost immediate! Both cats practically stopped using the other litter boxes and both use this one almost exclusively! Less litter is used, less smell, easy removal, Highly recommend! The only issue is there is no way to stop a cat (that want to dig to china) from scooping the litter onto the floor. I suggest a larger litter catching mat than what it comes with. Still worth ever penny.
